Episode 101 Trailer
Annabeth Chase's personal log, stardate 61218.07. Ahhh, today certainly was a long one in the classroom today, a few of my students still have trouble trying to figure out basic quantum mechanics. Hopefully, they'll be able to figure it out before they get their first assignments abroad. Gosh, it's hard to believe that was me just ten years ago. Heck, the last time I was aboard a ship was about a year after the Dominion War had ended, it's been… hard to get back aboard ship. Especially… especially after what happened on the Indiana. *Sigh* I really need to get over that it's been close to nine years, it's just… Anyways, I finally turned in my request for a duty transfer, fingers crossed that it gets approved this time.
The shuttle came up over the station's arm and gave way to a clear view of the ship, to Annabeth she looked like a cross-bred hybrid of the old Galaxy-class and Sovereign-class ship. The ship had the same general design characteristics and shape as a Sovereign but instead of the Sovereign's sharp militaristic lines, she had the smooth lines that were normally associated with the Galaxy's. Another thing that Annabeth noticed was that there were two connections from the Primary hull to the Secondary hull.
"Alright ladies and gentlemen, there she is. The USS Andromeda, registration number NCC-97483. Odyssey-class star cruiser; fourth one of her class, cruising speed of warp 8, a maximum speed of 9.99. Crew complement of just over twenty-five hundred sailors and rooms for their families as well. She one of the most technologically advanced ships in the fleet right now."
"Families?" Annabeth asked curiously, "I thought that the Federation has banned family accompaniment aboard starships after the Dominion War and the Battle of Wolf 359."
"They were up until about two months ago, the Andromeda is a part of a test program set up by Admiral Picard and other prominent members of Starfleet. They're trying to get families back aboard Starfleet vessels. The Andromeda is just one of the vessels that are participating in it."
"Who's her captain?"
"Captain Perseus Jackson."
"The 'Ghost of Archon VII' huh?"
Percy, huh, Annabeth thought to herself.
"Annabeth Chase!" Percy said with a grin, "It's been a while since we last saw each other, almost nine years right?
"Yeah it has been," she answered, "since the Indiana."
That's when Percy's grin slowly fell from his lips, "So that's how it is then. You still haven't gotten over what happened on that ship have you?"
Annabeth's eyes hardened as she crossed her arms, "How could I not get over it?"
"Ok I get it," Percy started, "you and I have some very personal history with one another, some that we will have. However, both of us are are Starfleet officers and still have to hold ourselves to a professional standard. Now can I trust you to work with me and follow my orders, Commander?"
"Yes sir, you can."
Annabeth noticed something odd on her sensors, a strange mass of gravitational readings on the scope. The interesting thing about it was that it was on the move and it was on an intercept course with the Andromeda. "Captain," she called out, "we have an abnormal gravity field it looks like a proto wormhole on sensors, and it appears to be on an intercept course with us. Estimated time till impact, two minutes"
Percy nodded and turned Rackham on the helm, "Helm, make your course two-four-seven. see if we can't get around it."
"Aye, sir."
"Captain, the anomaly has changed it's course. It's still on an intercept course."
Valeia jumped from her seat and moved up and behind Rackham, "Accelerate to warp 8."
The ship shuddered as it picked up speed, Annabeth checked her screen. "Captain, the anomaly has accelerated! Estimated time of impact is now one minute."
"Red Alert! Shields up!" Percy called out from his seat, "Accelerate to maximum warp. Send a message to Starfleet Command and inform them of our situation."
"Captain, thirty seconds!"
"All hands this is the Captain, brace for impact!"
"Helm! Report!"
"Uh, sir, I-I don't know. I can't find any matches in the database, the stars don't match any known configurations or constellations."
"Have you refreshed the database?"
"I already did, still no match."
"Alright, then where the hell are we?!"
"Hold on, I'm expanding the search range," the console beeped as it had finished, and the young ensign froze as the color drained away from his face, "Sir if I'm reading this right… we're over three million light-years from where we started. We aren't even in our own galaxy anymore, we're in the Pegasus Galaxy."
