Author's Note: This just came to me randomly while reading another fanfiction. Tobirama might be a bit OOC, but I had to make it work somehow... Enjoy!
Tobirama
Tobirama frowned thoughtfully at the seal in his hands. He'd perfected it as much as he could, but even though it should work in theory, he still could not get it to do so. The ability to instantly or at least near instantly transport himself from one place to another...it would be of great use to the clan, especially to help his only living brother.
"Gra~nd Uncle~!"
Tobirama blinked and turned as he heard the familiar call. "Tsunade-chan? What are you doing here?"
Being Hashirama's granddaughter, she often came over to play with her favorite grand uncle, so he wasn't particularly surprise that she'd come to find him. However, he was relatively certain that Hashirama had brought her to play with the Uzumaki, so why was she...?
"Grand uncle! I have a question and grandpa said that you know everything, so I came to ask you!" Tsunade announced cheerfully, bounding over.
Tobirama took one look at her incredibly effective puppy eyes and sighed, knowing that he probably wouldn't be able to get anything done anytime soon. Oh well. He hadn't been getting anywhere, and now was as good a time as any for a break.
"Alright then," he conceded, putting the seal away before reaching for the cup of tea that he'd nearly forgotten about. He was midway through a sip when Tsunade decided that she'd been patient enough already and blurted out her question.
"Grand uncle, where do babies come from?"
Tobirama did a magnificent spit take and then proceeded to cough and splutter as the tea went down the wrong pipe.
"W-what?"
Tsunade huffed. "One of the Uzumaki aunties had a baby, and I was curious about where it came from! Grandpa said you'd know. Do you?"
"Uhhh..."
Hashirama you traitor! Tobirama thought furiously as he looked around for an escape route, but she was standing in the doorway and had masterfully blocked his route to the window (a tiny part of him looked on with pride, noting that she would be a great shinobi one day). Then, he suddenly remembered the seal that he'd been working on. Teleportation!
"Tsunade-chan, about that question..."
He hedged as he stealthily grabbed the seal behind him and wrapped it around the handle of a kunai. There! With a flick of his wrist, the kunai soared out the window and hit the tree on the other side of the yard. As soon as it hit, something clicked and he felt a tug on his chakra, which he grabbed at desperately. Aha! There was a whoosh and he found himself sideways on the tree next to his kunai. Reflexes kicking in, he immediately channeled chakra to stick to the tree and took a moment to reorient himself, then looked back at his niece, who was staring at him, wide-eyed.
"...I think your grandmother Mito knows more about it than me!"
With that declaration, he quickly fled the scene, sending a silent apology to Mito and vowing to give Hashirama a piece of his mind.
"GRAND UNCLE!"
