RWBY Sisterhood, Chapter 4

Monday morning started the first full week, classes were set up in groups, where each team would be part of a group that would attend all of the same classes together. This system was setup so when it came to field exercises an entire group could go and miss the same classes. Physical training was left up to the students with assessment test being held at the middle and the end of each semester. If a student failed their physicals then they would have to train with the instructors. Unless there was a field exercise classes started at nine in the morning and ended at three in the afternoon with an hour break for lunch.

"That is one thing I like about the school, there is plenty to eat." Yang said as the left the cafeteria. "There is always something out, you could go there at two in the morning and you could get something."

"I know" Nora said. "All you can eat, whenever you want to eat. I may never graduate from here, just set up a tent inside the cafeteria."

"I rather you didn't do that." Ren said.

Nora squeezed Ren's arm. "Come on, it would be like we're camping, but inside, by a buffet. Isn't that the dream?". No one agreed with Nora but no one disagreed either.

"So, what is our first class today?" Yang asked.

"Practical science" Blake said.

Yang looked a little disappointed when she heard this. "Why do we have to take practical science, I want to take impractical science."

"And what would impractical science be?" Weiss asked to everyone's surprised that she would want to have wanted to hear what Yang would guess.

Yang thought about it for a moment. "Ok, so impractical science would cover things like, how to use explosives to take the shell off of a hardboiled egg? Completely impractical but you could use science to answer it.".

Weiss glanced at Yang before looking forward. "I regret asking".

"I'm not." Nora said with a grin. "I really want to know if you could to that. Imagine using the shock wave from an explosive to remove the shells from hundreds of eggs at once.". Soon everyone, except Weiss, was engrossed in the conversation, trying to figure out how this could be tested. They continued to talk about this until they arrived at their lecture hall and class started.

"Welcome everyone to practical science. I'm your professor Dr. Tito and we will be spending your first year learning how to use science as huntsman. We met last week when I gave you your assessment test but I thought I should introduce myself to you all again as today can be considered your first day of classes. So to start, who can tell me the difference between natural science and magical science? Yes you there with the enthusiastic hand.".

Normally Ruby wouldn't volunteer but she wanted to improve her relationship with Weiss. "Natural science covers things like gravity and how fast something will fall. Magical science covers how gravity dust can make something fall faster or even go against the planet's gravity."

"Indeed, a simple and accurate explanation, … " The professor lifted up her scroll and looked up Ruby's name. "Ruby, who is the team leader of, team RWBY. So your name and your team name are the same. Well that is quite the corundum that you have there."

"Don't you mean conundrum?" Ruby asked.

The professor smiled. "No, corundum, it is a geology pun. So, the next question if you think you can answer it, who was the person who defined natural science and magical science?"

"Dr. Ritz" Ruby said confidently.

"No, that is incorrect." Ruby was surprised. "Don't worry, a lot of people think it was Dr. Ritz, but she was more of the mother of this theory. Which if Dr. Ritz was the mother, who would be her father, anyone know? Yes, you… Jaune."

"Mr. Tazo" Jaune said.

"Correct. Mr. Tazo is the scientist who realized that there were two separate sciences that operate in our world. Before this people didn't have a clear understand why a crystal would shoot electricity out when it was smashed or how a rock that should be impossible for any person to lift could be lifted by a small child. In the case of the rock he realized that there were two different things acting on it, gravity of the planet and gravity dust. He researched this and had written volumes on it but passed away without publishing any of it. Dr. Ritz took Mr. Tazo's work and expanded on it as well as publishing it."

"With this class I will not bore you with the history of every scientific achievement but I will bring up important ones, like who was the first person to define natural and magical science. These history lessons will have some sort of wisdom that will help you as huntsman. This is because the science you will be learning is to help you as huntsman, to have a better understanding of how the world works which will help you as you fight the Grimm. In the case of this story, remember that there is some logic to how something works or acts. It might not make sense to you at the time, but there is an underlying system that makes it work even if you don't understand it right away."

"Now, with that out of the way I'll be handing back your assessment tests. Some of you have done quite well, others will have some catching up to do.". With each class they got their initial test back. Once classes were done for the day the team leaders had a meeting that then needed to attend. The meetings were only at the beginning and end of the week and were done so they could keep their team's informed on any upcoming events.

Once the meeting was done Ruby got back to her room. Yang and Blake were already looking over some of their school work, when asked about Weiss they said she was off training. They waited till a little after five but Weiss hasn't shown back up yet so they went off to dinner without her. When they got back they could tell that Weiss had been by the room, a while later she returned.

"So, how was your training?" Ruby asked as Weiss as she entered.

"Fine. The simulators they have for fighting Grimm work well." Weiss said as she walked over and laid down on her bed.

Ruby looked over at her. "So, are you going to do your homework?"

"I already did it." Weiss said.

The three of them were surprised. "You already finished the homework we were assigned today? When did you do it?" Yang asked.

Weiss leaned over and picked up the book on her desk. "In class, during lunch and at dinner."

Ruby looked down at her desk. "I wish I was as smart as you. I thought coming here would just be us fighting Grimm all day, I really underestimated all the work I would have to do. I mean there is school work, team leader meetings and trying to get in any extra training time. It isn't just the normal homework, we have group projects as well like the presentation that we have to do for our history class that I have to figure out."

Weiss put down her book and slid over and sat on the side of her bed. "Ruby, what is the job of a leader?"

Ruby looked at Weiss, her mask made it hard to tell what she was thinking. Looking at her eyes the most she could tell was that she wasn't mad at her. "To lead people in battle, take charge of a situation. Something like that."

"No, the responsibility of a leader is to make sure everything is completed. It is not your job to do everything, it is your job to make sure everything is completed. The ability to delegate responsibilities is something you need to learn. In a battle you don't need to fight on the front lines, you need to make sure you have competent commanders that know how to fight on the front lines. Part of this is to talk to us and find out how we can help you."

"Our presentation is on the history of the fanus discrimination, so set up a time that we can all talk and we can see who would be the best person to lead this and to make sure it gets done. Maybe I'm the best because I can get my school work done faster than everyone else. Maybe Blake is the best because she can make sure the presentation is done in a way that helps people who are unaware of what the fanus have faced understand what they have faced. Maybe Yang because this is a topic she has always been interested in. Whoever it is, your job is not to do the presentation, your main job is to make sure it gets done, if you want to do it that's fine but only if you have the time to do it."

"You either say nothing or say everything, there is no middle ground with you." Yang said.

Weiss looked over at her. "I only say what needs to be said." She turned her attention back to Ruby. "In the end if you need help with something that isn't something that has been personally assigned to you, then come ask us for help."

Ruby looked at the paper that had the information about the presentation that they would need to do. "Do you want to do it?"

"I'm not going to do all the work, it is a team project. If you want me to take the lead then I can unless Yang or Blake want to?"

Yang shook her head. "No, it is all yours. Just tell me what you want me to do for it."

Blake looked down at Weiss from her bed. "I'm fine with you taking charge. Not to be rude but I will be nitpicking this."

"I wouldn't expect any less." Weiss said.

Ruby got up and handed the paper to Weiss. "Since no one has any objections I'll have you take the lead on or presentation."

Weiss took the paper from Ruby. "I will do my best.". She looked at the paper and started to write down some notes on her scroll.

As the week went on the students started to get into a rhythm. With team RWBY, Ruby, Blake and Yang would work out together in the morning with Weiss working out by herself. After classes were done Weiss would spend extra time training while the other girls would work on other stuff. As Friday came and the school day ended Ruby tried out one of the training simulators that Weiss would use. Ruby finished up before Weiss and went back to the dorms to take a shower. Getting out of the shower Weiss was arriving to take one

Ruby ran back to her room, throwing the door open and almost slamming it shut. Inside Blake and Yang were sitting on Yang's bed watching a video on a scroll but looked up when Ruby excitedly entered. "What is going on, did someone happen in the shower."

Ruby put her shower stuff on her dresser and went over to them. "We don't have a lot of time but I got to see part of Weiss's face, and she is beautiful."

The two were surprised to hear this. "You saw her without her mask?"

"Yeah, she was going into one of the showers when I was leaving. She forgot her shampoo so I let her use mine. Once I could hear her open the bottle I waited a little bit and was able to see her face through the door crack. I didn't see any scars, her face looks flawless."

"Thanks for, telling us?" Blake said.

"Don't you two want to see it?" Ruby asked.

Blake and Yang looked at each other. "Well yeah, but she is probably going to get pissed off at us."

"I know but maybe we can convince her that she doesn't have to hide her face. This would just be some tough love. Beside we only have until she get out of the shower, so we don't have a lot of time." Ruby said.

"I'm for it." Yang said.

Blake looked at the two of them. "How are we going to do this?"

Ruby smiled. "I have a plan."

A few minutes later Weiss entered the room, she saw that Yang and Blake were still on Yang's bed while Ruby was on top of her bed. Weiss walked towards her bed heading to her closet before she could get to her bed Yang had come in from behind and got her into a full nelson. Blake came from under Weiss's bed and grabbed onto her legs. Glancing over at Yang's bed she saw the Blake and Yang that were on it were actually made by Blake using her semblance. Getting ambushed in her room was always a possibility but she wasn't expecting her teammates to be the ones to do it.

She formed glyphs in front and behind her. Ruby dropped down from her bed before she could put one above her. Once Ruby was on the ground she started to undue the mask. "Stop this" Weiss yelled as she realized what they were trying to do. She was about to create a glyph that would keep the mask locked but Ruby was able to undue the mask, taking it off of her face.

Weiss tried to look away but Ruby could see her face. "Stop this, don't look at me. Give me back my mask.".

Yang kept on holding Weiss as Blake let go and looked at Weiss face. She started to smile but it quickly turned into rage. Immediately she shot towards Weiss, seeing this Weiss lifted up her legs and lunged her feet into Blake's stomach. As soon as she did, Blake folded over and fell to the ground. Yang let go of Weiss and went over to Blake, as soon as she was free she went after Ruby.

"Are you ok" Yang asked.

"Hnossa, Schnee" Blake said as she was trying to get her breath back. "Weiss is, Hnossa, Schnee.". Yang looked over at Weiss who had gotten her mask back from Ruby, but before she could get it on she could see Weiss's face.

"Holy crap, you're Hnossa Schnee." Yang said. Ruby looked at her as well and realized that Yang and Blake were right.

"No, my name is Weiss Halbrook." She said with her mask back on.

"This is why you hid who you were, you didn't want people pestering you while you were here?" Ruby asked.

"I don't know what you are talking about." Weiss said.

Blake got back onto her feet, she extended her claws having them tear though her sleeves. "Oh don't lie, you are Hnossa Schnee and you are going to pay for what you and your family did to my family."

Weiss had collapsed the glyphs she had already made and reformed smaller ones around her, ready to make a shield around her. "And just what did I do? Because last time I checked I haven't done anything to you or your family."

"Don't play stupid Hnossa, you know what you did?"

Ruby walked between the two of them. "Ok, can we calm down for a second.".

"No" Weiss collapsed her glyphs. She walked towards her bed and pulled out a dagger from under her pillow.

"Hold on" Yang said. "There is no need to bring in weapons."

Blake walked around the bed, now on the same side as Weiss. "It's fine, I mean I have razor sharp claws, she should at least have something."

Weiss put the dagger on the bed, she then turned around and got on her knees and put her head down. The others looked at her, confused at how this was supposed to help her. "Well, you have a dagger and Hnossa Schnee, just make it quick."

Blake looked at the dagger and then at the back of Weiss's neck. "Do you think this is a joke?".

"You're right." Weiss got up and started to walk to the door. "We should do this in the shower, the blood stains would make it where they would have to replace the carpet. Not only that you can take my head off in there, clean it off and take it back to your parents. I bet they will be happy to have the head of a Schnee adorn their mantle."

Ruby took the dagger. "What the hell is going on? Why are you letting Blake kill you, why do you have a dagger under your pillow and why are you working at a bookstore?".

Yang looked at her sister. "Out of all of this, working at a bookstore is what you want an answer to?"

Ruby couldn't tell it but there was a smirk under her mask. "You know Ruby, you are rather observant. I'm working at the bookstore because I'm no longer a Schnee. I left the family a little over a year ago and I've been on my own ever since."

Blake shook her head. "No, that can't be true. Why would you give up all of the wealth and power that comes with being a Schnee?"

Weiss looked at Blake. "Because I learned about all of the horrible things my ancestors did. It wasn't just that but I was being raised to help expand the Schnee family. Once day I would be expected to do things that my ancestors did, so the family wouldn't just hold onto its power but have it grow. Once I realized all of this I did whatever I had to do to escape."

"So does anyone in your family know where you are at?" Ruby asked.

"No, as of right now the only person who knows who I am here is the headmaster, and you three. He has been kind enough to keep my secret knowing that if my family found out they would come for me."

A grin came across Blake's face. "So, all I have to do to get rid of you is to let your parents know where you are at?"

Weiss looked at Blake. "Yes".

Ruby walked in between them. "No, that isn't going to happen. Weiss hasn't done anything wrong. This is all my fault."

"Why are you apologizing, she is the one who lied to all of us. If anything she should be begging for mercy."

Yang got between the two of them as well. "Blake, Ruby is right, Weiss hasn't done anything wrong. We are the ones who pulled off her mask, we should be asking for her to forgive us."

"Excuse me" Blake yelled. "Are you seriously saying that I should ask for a Schnee to forgive me? Do you have any idea what that family has done to my ancestors?"

"They did horrible things." Weiss said. "There are journals and diaries kept in the Schnee mansion that tell stories that you will never hear in a history book. They cover hundreds of years of atrocities that they committed. It is why I left, it is why I abandoned my name and gave myself a new one. I have no intention of ever going back."

Blake started to stare Weis down. "Even so you are one of their descendants, that is a fact."

"And I had as much say in that as you had in being a fanus. One day people would find out who I was, when that happened I wanted people to get to know me, to judge me on my actions and not judge me on what my ancestors did.". Blake didn't say anything but her breathing was starting to get heavy. Weiss went over to her dresser, taking off her shorts and putting on a pair of pants and slipping on some shoes. "If you are not going to kill me then I am going to get something to eat." Weiss walked out of the room with the other three just looking at the door after it had closed.

Blake ran to the door, looking both ways she didn't see Weiss. She was about to run down the hall before Yang grabbed her. "Hey, you should at least change your gloves before you go after her.". Blake looked down and saw that she had already torn through the pair she had on. Going back inside she teared off her gloves and looked for a new pair.

Ruby was still holding the dagger, looking at it she saw that there was nothing special about it but taking one of her hairs she was able to cut it in half length wide down the blade. Seeing how sharp it was she put it back under Weiss's pillow. Turning around she saw that Blake had put on a new pair of gloves and was leaving the room. "I'm going to go with her to make sure that she doesn't do anything that she might regret." Yang said as she closed the door behind her. Looking around the room Ruby was glad that the walls were reinforced, more in case to protect people if someone used their semblance but it also made it hard to hear people in another room.

Yang left the dorm with Blake. "So what are you going to do?"

Blake headed towards the cafeteria. "I'm going to get rid of her. She doesn't want people to know she is a Schnee so I'm going to yell it out to everyone in the cafeteria.".

Yang grabbed Blake by the shoulder and turned her around. "No you're not."

Blake's eyes got as wide as they could. "Excuse me. What right do you have to stop me?"

"Every right." Yang looked around and saw that there were some other students heading towards them." Look, can we just talk for a little bit, in private. She isn't going anywhere, if you want to out her you can do that anytime."

"And what are we going to talk about?"

Yang shrugged. "Why you hate the Schnee's? I mean it is easy to hate something you don't understand but it is hard to hate something you do understand."

Blake was a little surprised. "Where did that come from?"

"My dad. He told me that there are going to be a lot of things that I'm not going to like but just because I'm not going to like it doesn't mean it is bad or I should hate it. If there is something that I think is bad or I hate then I should have a reason to hate it, not just hating it because I feel like it. I get that you hate the Schnee's but tell me why?"

Blake looked at Yang and sighed. "Fine, but it isn't a happy story."

"I'm ok with that. I mean I wasn't expecting one." The two of them headed off to the edge of the island where there was no one else. "So, what did the Schnee do to your family?"

Blake sat down looking down the side of the cliff, seeing the waves hit against the rocks. "My ancestors had their land taken by the Schnee. Once it was taken they became indentured servants, forced to work on the land that they used to own. I'm part fanus, the human part of me wasn't by choice, they were raped, and it was one was a Schnee. My dad is pure fanus but my mom is part fanus, part human."

Yang looked out at the sea. "Yeah, I can completely understand why you hate the Schnee family"

Blake turned to her. "That is it? No 'I should forgive them' speech?"

Yang lifted her shoulders and moved her head back and forth, thinking about what to say. "Well this might sound odd but what has Weiss done that needs to be forgiven? I mean she it doesn't sound like she was stealing peoples land, or raping fanus, if anything it seems like she left because her ancestors did that."

Blake looked back at the rocks. "But she is still a Schnee."

"Yeah, and I bet one of my ancestors did something bad to a fanus, does that mean I should be punished for what they did? What about you, maybe one of your ancestors did something to another fanus, does that mean you should be punished for what they did?"

Blake started to get up. "This is pointless".

Yang grabbed her hand, stopping her from walking away. "Why is it pointless? Give me a good reason and I'll let you leave."

Blake put up a futile effort to break Yang's grip so she sat back down. "It is pointless because you can't understand. The Schnee are horrible people, there is nothing good about them."

"You know what you are right, the Schnee are horrible people." Blake turned to Yang thinking she was starting to see things her way but seeing the smile on her face Blake realized that it was a trap. "The problem is our teammate is Weiss Halbrook, not Hnossa Schnee. If we check with the headmaster he will tell us that there isn't a Schnee attending Beacon."

"But in her blood is the blood of a Schnee. That is all that matters" Blake said.

Yang sighed. "You don't believe that."

"I do, anyone with the blood of the Schnee's flowing through them is someone who will never be a good person."

Yang let go of Blake, free from her Blake got up. "If that is true then that means that you will never be a good person." Blake stopped and turned and looked at Yang who was standing up. "Did you forget what you just told me, you said that one of your ancestors had been raped by a Schnee, that means that you are part Schnee."

Clenching her fist Blake started to breathe heavily. "Do you want to take that back?"

Yang just stood there. "Why should I? You are the one that said that a Schnee will never be a good person, and you said you are part Schnee. If anything you need to take something back."

The rest of the hour was spent with Blake physically trying to get Yang to take back what she had said. Thanks to Yang's semblance she was able to take anything Blake threw at her. By the end of the hour Blake was laying on the grass with Yang coming to sit next to her.

"You really had a lot bottled up in you."

Blake looked up at the sky, working on catching her breath. "I, I really hate you right now. I, just, I. I never wanted to think about this, all I wanted was to have the Schnee family tied up and make them all suffer. But does that include me? Am I just as bad as them?"

"Well last time I checked you didn't steal someone's land, force the people who lived there to work on it for free and then rape them. If you did then, yes you are. Since you haven't then no, you're not."

Blake turned to her. "You might not realize this, but I really needed to hear that."

Yang smiled. "I'm glad to hear that. So, one thing I was thinking of was we should see if we can talk to the headmaster. If he knows about Weiss's past then maybe he can give us a little more information about her."

Blake turned her attention back to the sky. "That sounds nice but do you really think the headmaster is going to take time out of his schedule to talk to us about her?"

"Well just have to wait and see".

"What do you mean?" Blake asked.

"I just sent him a message, we'll just have to wait for him to read it and then decide if he wants to talk to us.".

Blake sat up. "You just sent him a message! What did you say?"

"I just said that we wanted to talk to him about Weiss's as we saw her without her mask. I was going to say more but I didn't know if someone else would read it. What did you think I would say?"

Blake looked away. "I don't know, I just rather not talk to him about this."

Before Yang could ask Blake what was going on her scroll beeped, letting her know that she had just received a message. "It is from the headmaster. He said that we should come by his office now to talk to talk to him.". Yang got up and put out her hand. "Well, let's go.". Blake looked at it for a second before taking it.

Arriving at the tower they were directed to one of the elevators where they were lifted to the headmasters office. Going inside they saw Ozpin sitting at his desk where he gestured to the two chairs that were across from him. "It seems like you have had a rather active evening.".

"Just an evening workout." Yang said as they both sat down. "So, we kind of found out who Weiss really is."

"I see, and how many of you found out?" Ozpin asked.

Yang gestured to herself and Blake. "Just us and Ruby, so just three of us.".

Ozpin looked at them. "I hold off on asking how you found out but I would ask for you three to not say anything about this."

"Why" Yang looked at Blake who stood up. "Why should I have to protect a Schnee?"

Ozpin looked at Blake, then to Yang and then back to her. "Blake, is this a conversation you want to have at this point in time."

Blake looked over at Yang and sat back down. "No".

They all sat there for a moment while Ozpin took a sip of his tea. "I can understand why you hate her but she renounced her family. She left them over a year ago and has done everything possible to hide from them. If you tell anyone that she is a Schnee she will immediately leave here and be on the run again. She might not want to associate with her old family but they are actively looking for her and have no intention of stopping until she is found."

Yang raised her hand. "Can I ask something?"

"What is it?"

"What would happen to Weiss if her family got her?"

Ozpin looked into his tea cup. "I don't know, but considering the trouble she has caused by leaving I would guess her homecoming would be far from pleasant. Her older sister joined the Atlas military but is still part of the Schnee family, Weiss completely abandoned it."

"So she completely left them?" Yang asked.

"Yes. I was able to provide her with fake documents so she could start a new life here, I was also able to get her a job in the capitol. To everyone that she has met she is Weiss Halbrook."

Blake got up. "Thank you for talking with us.". She headed to the door, Yang thanked the headmaster as well and left with Blake. Ozpin sat and sipped his tea, watching the girls walk away from the tower and back to the dorms.

. . . . . . . . . . . . .

Saturday morning the girls got up, Weiss wasn't in the room but all of her stuff was still there. Blake left the school and headed into the city and went to where Weiss worked at. She kept an eye on her, hiding on the roof of the adjacent building. When Weiss left for the day Blake came down and went into the store.

"Hi there" The shop owner said. "So, what are you looking for today?"

"I was actually wondering what you could tell me about Weiss?"

The shop keeper shrugged. "I'm guessing you could tell me more about her than I could. She started working here a little before summer started. She hardly talks to anyone but she is a hard worker and know a lot about books. If anything I'm amazed at how well read she is. Being her teammate I figure you would know more about her."

Blake shook her head. "No, she doesn't say anything about her past, or anything else."

"Normally I don't hire someone without having at least some idea of who they are but the headmaster for the academy vouched for her so that was good enough for me. You could ask him, I'm guessing he might know some more about her past."

Blake looked away from him. "I did but he didn't say anything."

"Well I don't know what she did or what she is running from but she is a hard worker and always does her best."

"Yeah." Blake turned back to him. "Thanks for talking with me."

"No problem" He said. Blake looked around the shop for a few minutes before finding a new book to read.

. . . . . . . . . . . . .

Weiss went back to the academy once she was done with work, when she got to her room the only person in it was Ruby. Before entering Weiss checked the inside of the room before entering and closing the door behind her. "Weiss, can we talk?"

Weiss walked over to her dresser. "You can talk, I have no reason to."

Ruby sighed. "First thing is taking off your mask was my idea. I partially saw your face through a crack in the shower door, when I did I thought you were beautiful. While I wanted to see your face up close I wanted you to be able to take it off around us. You said that you had some scars that you were trying to hide but when I saw you I didn't see any so I thought that you were just being self-conscious of some old scar that you used to have. I figured once you had it off around us you would see that you didn't have anything to hide. I now know that wasn't the case, so I'm sorry about what we did."

Weiss had finished changing her clothes while Ruby had talked but she kept facing the dresser. "So, you were trying to help me get over the fake trauma that I said I had?"

"Yeah, I mean I also really wanted to see what you looked like up close but I also wanted to help you. I thought if you were comfortable around us you might start showing your face to others."

Weiss turned around, looking at Ruby who was looking away from her. "You are rather the thoughtful idiot."

Ruby looked up and smiled. "Thanks"

Weiss tilted her head to the side. "You do realize that was an insult?"

Ruby kept on smiling. "Well coming from you it sounds like a complement."

"What about Yang and Blake, are they going to say anything?"

"Yang isn't going to say anything." Ruby then started to scratch her head. "I don't know about Blake, I mean she really hates the Schnee's."

"Indeed she does."

"Yang did talk to her and the both of them talked to the headmaster so at the moment she isn't going to say anything. So there is that if it means anything."

Weiss nodded her head. "It is something for the moment." She walked over to the door.

"Where are you going?" Ruby asked.

"Getting dinner."

Ruby started to walk over to the door. "We can go together."

Weiss put up her hand. "I rather go by myself. I haven't forgiven any of you for what you have done.". Ruby just stood in the middle of the room as Weiss left.

. . . . . . . . . . . . .

Sunday started the same as Saturday with no sign that Weiss had even been in the room the night before. Weiss went to work as she had done before and arriving back at the academy Blake was the only one waiting for her in the room. "I need to talk to you."

Weiss looked around the room before entering and closing the door. "What do you need to say?"

"I" Blake looked away from Weiss who was looking directly at her. "I hate the Schnee's, they stole my ancestors land, forced them to work on it and even raping them. Honestly, I could never forgive them for what they did. You could have wealth and power that few could ever dream of having if you had stayed in the Schnee family but instead you left them, never to return. I really want to hate you but talking to others and seeing how you are living your life now, at the moment you are trying to start a new life. So… I'll judge you on your actions, not on who your parents are."

"So I don't have to worry about you stabbing me in my sleep anytime soon."

Blake looked up and nodded. "I really want to beat the crap out of you but I'll only do that if you do something that warrants it."

"Thank you." Weiss looked around the room again. After looking she walked up to Blake. "Are we the only two in here?"

"Yes, I asked Ruby and Yang to let me talk to you in private."

"I'll hold you to that because I don't want them to hear what I'm going to say."

Blake was a little concerned. "What are you going to say that you don't want them to hear?"

Weiss slowly brought her face to Blake's ears. "I know your last name is Belladonna, that your father was the leader of the White Claw and that you used to be a member of the Red Fang."

Blake immediately moved away Weiss and stared at her. "Who else knows?"

"Just myself."

"And how long have you known?"

Weiss sighed. "The night before the partner selection, you looked a lot like Blake Belladonna but because of your gloves and boots I couldn't be sure. When we were fighting the Grimm during the partner selection I recognized your name, your weapon and your semblance, at that point I knew who you were. On first night we were all in this room when you showed us you were a fanus I just had more proof of who you are."

"And what are you going to do?" Blake said trying to hide her apprehensions.

"Nothing" Blake was surprised to her this. "I'm guessing the headmaster knows who you really are and he let you attend. He has his reasons just like he has ones for helping me."

Blake started to relax a little. "Why are you telling me this?"

"Because you are being far too carless. I changed my name, cut and dyed my hair, use contacts, cover most of my face, have a different weapon and I wear clothes that are nothing close to what I used to wear. I used to wear clothes that were similar to Ruby's but now I stick with pants and a shirt. It wasn't until my mask came off did you realize who I was, I already had an idea of who you were when I first saw you. If I can figure out who you are then how long is it going to be before others do? Not everyone is a fan of the White Fang and there are plenty of humans and fanus that dislike the Red Claw. Being someone who used to be a member of the Red Claw automatically puts a target on you. You need to be more careful."

Blake started to shake her head. "I never thought a Schnee would be telling me any of this?"

"Well I'm not one so one never did."

Blake looked up and nodded at Weiss. "You are right about that, so thank you for not giving me any advice. I don't know what I can do at the moment but I'll try to be more careful. Weiss didn't say anything, she just nodded. "So I have to ask this, the cancer, that is just a story your family made up?"

"Yes. I mean I was already a prima donna so having cancer was the best cover story they could use. Being treated at the family mansion where I can be kept isolated makes it where only a handful of people know that I've left. Why, were you hoping that it wasn't just a cover story?"

Blake started to get wide eyed. "I mean, well the thing that surprised me most is how you act. From the videos I saw of you where you were not singing you seem a lot more, bubblier."

Weiss took in a deep breathe. "Oh, you're just being silly." Blake was shocked, the tone of her voice completely different. She went up to Blake and took her hands. "Besides why are we talking about me, what about you. I mean we have been teammates for a couple of weeks and I feel like I don't know you at all. I mean, is there anyone here that you are interested in?". Weiss let go of Blake's hands and walked behind her, putting her arms around her shoulders. "I know what we can do, lets get dinner delivered and stay up getting to know each other. I bet there is someone you are interested in, could it be a human? Maybe you have a secret admirer that you are waiting on to confess their love?"

"What, the hell" Was the only thing Blake could get out, not even realizing that Weiss was now behind her.

Weiss dropped her arms, when she did Blake realized that Weiss was behind her and turn around and face her. "That was the me that I used to get people to open up. Acting as a happy, bubbly heiress who is also a diva makes it where people let their guard down around me."

Blake took a second to look at Weiss. "That, was disturbing. How did you get behind me like that?"

Weiss sighed. "I was taught how to do that since I was a child. Manipulating people, getting them to tell me their secrets, it was what was expected of me. I hate being that person."

"I hope you are being someone you like to be."

"I honestly have no idea."

"Well if you don't have anything else to say Ruby and Yang wanted to apologize to you as well. Is it ok if I call them?". At this point Blake just wanted this conversation to end. She wasn't expecting for Weiss to tell her as much as she had. Thankfully Weiss didn't have anything else to say so Blake called up Yang who was with Ruby, waiting for her call. A few minutes later Ruby and Yang arrived in the room.

"I know Blake and my sister said they were sorry but I wanted to tell you as well. I wanted you to know that I'm not going to tell anyone about your past." Yang said.

Weiss looked at the three of them. "Understand this, I may never forgive you three, but at the same time I'm not going to hold a grudge against you either."

"So we don't have to worry about you stabbing us in our sleep?" Yang asked.

"Not any more than I have to worry about any of you."

Ruby looked at Weiss. "So then why do you sleep with a dagger under your pillow?"

Weiss looked away and sighed. "Because I have always slept with one under my pillow."

"You have some crappy parents." Everyone turned towards Yang. "I mean our dad got us a teddy bear to keep us company when we had nightmares but your parents give you a dagger. What did they tell you, 'Now if anything tried to attack you in your sleep, kill it, if you don't then you will die and you are not worthy to be in the family'."

Weiss took in a breath. "I know that you are joking, but yes, I was told something pretty close to that.". Yang's eyes got wide as she froze in place. "It's fine. I know it is a joke."

Yang's eyes still stayed as they were but a smile started to come across her face. "Well that is good to know. By the way, we were going to order out for dinner tonight, our treat, what do you want?"

Weiss looked over them. "You don't have to do that."

"Well we are, so you can either pick out what we are going to order or not. Either way there is going to be something for you." Yang said.

"Weiss, this is what friends do." Everyone turned to Ruby. "Knowing about your past makes a lot of sense about who you are. I'm sorry for what we did but it does feel like we know you better than before."

Weiss decided it was best not to fight them on this. "Just order pizza."

"That's it?" Yang asked. "It is our treat, you can get whatever you want?"

Weiss looked at her. "And pizza is what I want. I never got to have it growing up."

Ruby was surprised by this. "You never had pizza growing up?"

"No, it wasn't something I was allowed to have.". Ruby went up to Weiss and hugged her. "Why are you hugging me?"

Ruby started to cry. "You spent your entire life without knowing what pizza was, what kind of parents deprive their kids of pizza?"

Yang shrugged as she lifted up her hands. "I guess you could say they never gave you a slice?"

Weiss looked over at Yang. "Never gave me a slice?"

Yang sighed, "Slice sounds a lot like life."

Weiss shook her head. "Somehow I was expecting more from you."

Yang smiled. "I'll work making sure you get better puns from me. But there is something I wanted to ask, have you always been distant to others or have you just been doing it so people don't find out who you are? I saw some videos and you acted completely different than you have been around us."

Weiss looked at them. "I've always kept people at a distance, just in those videos no one realized it."

"Well if you need to open up you have the three of us you can talk to."

"Thank you." Weiss said.

Ruby let go of Weiss and wiped her eyes with the sleeve of her shirt. "We'll order dinner and you can go and get a shower in. I think I got your shirt a little too wet.". Weiss didn't say anything she just got her stuff and headed off to the shower.
