Wanda stirred under the blankets as the dawning light of the sun cast a bright beam directly on her face, she grimaced at the light and was just about ready to curl up under the blanket when she realised the day.

It was Monday.

She was starting her new job Today.

She leapt out of bed as she got ready for work, she had found herself secretly hoping to bump into Vision in the elevator as she brushed her teeth and blushed as she realised just how stupid that thought was

He has kids, he is a responsible adult she thought to herself and sighed as another thought popped into her head and we will only be here for a year at most..

the thought left her feeling rather downcast, which was pathetic considering she had only known the man for a week and had only met him a handful of times, but something inside her very core stirred at the thought of Vision.

She shrugged the feeling away as she proceeded to shower.

Wanda was surprised as she never did bump into Vision as she left the apartment building, infact she never really saw him during her first day at the 'school for gifted children' however she was enjoying her first day which helped clear her mind of thoughts of Vision as she proceeded with her lesson, she had decided to start the lesson with the Sokovian alphabet and how it differentiated from the English.

She had become rather engrossed with her teachings that when the bell did ring she was startled and had dropped a few sheets of paper, causing some of the pupils to chuckle. She blushed as she ushered them to carry on to the next class and began lifting up the papers.

Vision had been watching Wanda's lesson rather intently, noting how engrossed she got and smiling softly as he watched the expressions change on her face, he too chuckled when Wanda dropped the papers and decided to go help her once the last of the children left the room.

He leant down and picked up a stray paper and handed it over to Wanda, who looked rather shocked from seeing him there.

"Good afternoon Miss Maximoff" He smiled as he reached to lift another stray paper.

"Afternoon..." she watched him and quirked her head to the side as if asking why he appleared before her.

He chuckled at how innocent she looked when she cocked her head and stated

"Xavier asked me to check up on how you were doing, so how are things? are you enjoying teaching so far?" he smiled gently toward her

Wanda blushed and nodded her head quickly in reply

"Yes, the children are lovely and polite, not like the ones that Pietro teach"

Vision nodded and handed her the papers before standing.

"Good, now I best get to my lesson, enjoy the rest of your day"

Wanda nodded and Vision left.

Vision was currently in the middle of his lesson, teaching the children about Shakespeare and his many works, asking them about what they prefer a Shakespearean play or a play write and opening discussions regarding the matter.

"Sir, didnt they die in Romeo and Juliet?" one child asked.

"Yes they did, that's why it is a romance/tragedy genre" Vision stated as he leant against his desk, folding his arms as he awaited the childs reply

"Then what was the point in them falling in love" a young girl asked next

Vision thought for a moment, he couldnt quite understand the reasoning behind the story either and shrugged as he replied

"Some people fall in love and it's like magic, so when that happens and you find that the person that you share that magic with is no longer living.. then I guess you would much rather not be part of a World where that magic can no longer exist" he replied softly, noting how the young girl became saddened at the thought and sighed as he carried on

"However children, Romeo and Juliet is just a story, and a magical love like that.. I'm sure in the real World, would always win"he smiled to the young girl who nodded.

"Sir are you married?"he sighed as he replied.

"I was" the children gasped.

The young girl looked at Vision as she asked with furrowed brows

"Why aren't you anymore?"

"Because it wasnt magical" he smiled sadly as he continued

"but it did give me two children, so I am still happy that I was married, even if I am not anymore"the children nodded in agreement and the discussion had ended just in time for the bell to ring.

Vision was feeling like a truck had ran over his heart after that class and found his thoughts drifting off to Vivian as he recalled how sad she was at the thought of him feeling lonely 'Maybe I should start dating' he thought and sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose in agitation.

Wanda had finally finished for the day and decided to give herself a tour around the building, adjusting herself to her surroundings, when she came across a classroom, the door was closed but there was a golden plaque above the door stating 'English' Wanda bit her lip as she knocked gently, secretly hoping to see Vision again and also hoping that nobody would answer out of embarrassment.

The door opened, Wanda inhaled dramatically as Vision pushed the door open and quirked a brow at Wanda who smiled sheepishly.

"Hello again, I just finished my lessons and decided to give myself a tour"

She explained and he nodded in understanding before gesturing for her to come in

"Would you like to come in?"

Wanda nodded and shyly walked inside the classroom.

She was taken aback by the amount of art pieces that adorned the walls of Visions classroom

"Are all these yours?"

he nodded

"Yes I have an affinity for good art" he stated with a smile

Wanda nodded and glanced to his desk where she saw a photo of Vivian, Vincent and a woman that she could only guess to be Visions ex.

Vision noticed where Wanda's eyes had landed and cleared his throat as he felt rather uncomfortable by how personal some of the items around his classroom were.

"How are the kids? Vivian is a doll" Wanda stated as she smiled towards Vision, noticing how uncomfortable he seemed.

Vision was taken aback by the question, he never usually had anyone ask about the children as he found that being a 'weekend dad' somehow made people think that it wasnt proper and so they avoided talk of the children completely. He smiled warmly to Wanda as he replied

"They are well, thank you.. Vivian really enjoyed your company and had asked me to say 'bye bye' to you when I dropped them off yesterday" Wanda chuckled at the thought of Vivian thinking of her.

Wanda walked around the classroom, hesitating as she asked

"So you and their mother..."

Hesighed as he realised there was no avoiding the elephant in the room which was his shattered relationship

"We havent been together for a year now.. we both agreed that it would be better to part ways.."he glanced over to the image of Virginia with their children and sighed again.

Wanda felt her heart tug for the man infront of her.

"Aren't you dating anyone?"

Vision glanced back to Wanda and smiled playfully as he replied.

"Who would want a man that spends his weekends looking after two mischievous 5 year olds? I would never be able to give my full attention to anyone that would even consider so.. no I'm not dating" His voice became serious again as he carried on

"Love is just for fairytales, and even then.."he kept his gaze on Wanda as he continued "you never truly find out if they had a 'Happy ever after' or if they divorced" he shrugged and went to lean against his desk.

Wanda watched Vision as he spoke of how little he believed in love and frowned as she replied rather sternly

"There is someone out there for everyone, you cant think that you will remain on your own forever?" she took a step closer to Vision as she spoke, causing him to quirk his head to the side

"You honestly believe that there is someone out there in the World that you are meant to spend the rest of your life with?" his tone was rather rude as he spoke, causing Wanda to see red.

She stated again, rather harshly

"Yes I do! How can you not? Its human nature to want to be with someone!"

"I already had my chance for a happy ending and it didnt work out"

Vision replied coldly towards Wanda, causing her to halter and take a step back, she glanced downward as she thought for the right words.

"So you were in love?"

Wanda asked, for some reason a pit in her stomach had turned into a knot as she awaited his reply.

Vision watched the woman before him, looking over every millimetre of her face as he asked

"Why do you care?"

Wanda blushed lightly as she replied

"Why cant I care?"

Vision chuckled, she was being absurd, he stood abruptly and strode over to the young woman, raising his hand and gently ruffling her hair as he spoke

"That's enough fairytale talk for you"

He pulled his hand away and was surprised to find that Wanda had taken his hand in hers, he looked at her, her green orbs full of hope and.. something else, she was definitely captivating.

"You can be happy again, you just have to allow it" she stated, her gaze was intense on him and he felt a lump rise to his throat as he inadvertently gulped.

Wanda now realising just how close she was to him blushed and instantly drew herself back, bowing her head in apology.

Vision watched her and chuckled lightly, she was a peculiar being, and he definitely felt drawn to her.

Wanda was just about to leave the room when Vision spoke, halting her.

"Would you like to have dinner with me?"

Wanda glanced back towards Vision and found herself in disbelief by his words.

"Are you teasing me again?"she asked, a blush ever prominent on her cheeks.

Vision chuckled and shook his head.

"No, I think I would very much like to get to know you, Wanda Maximoff"

Wanda found herself gulping as he spoke her name and cleared her throat as she stood firm.

"Fine, you can take me out, but just know, I dont mind if you have Vivian and Vincent"

she nodded as she finished the sentence and walked out before Vision could say anything else.

Vision found himself laughing as he watched her leave and shouted out for her to hear

"I look forward to it!"

Wanda had found herself blushing all the way to the bus stop and found herself taking deep breaths as she tried to calm her racing heart.

"Cameaza-te... calm down"she said to herself as she sat on the bench waiting for the bus to arrive, she had calmed down enough to remember to check that she did indeed have everything she needed to go home so set about rummaging through her satchel, taking note on everything she was carrying when a beep from a car pulled her from inside her bag, she was lost for words.

Vision was sitting in his car watching her, she blushed as she remembered their last conversation and apparent plans for what would be considered a date and decided to lunge her head back inside her satchel, trying and unsurprisingly failing at ignoring the male.

Vision watched Wanda and chuckled, he stepped out of his car and walked up to her, he gazed softly at Wanda's head hiding inside the bag and spoke loud enough for anyone near by to hear.

"Well if you were expecting a horse drawn carriage then you will be very disappointed"

he smirked as Wanda's head shot up, her green orbs glaring embarrassing daggers at him. He laughed as he spoke

"We are heading in the same direction, so why not go together?"

he smirked as he teased

"I dont bite.."

Wanda blushed and stood abruptly, opening the passenger side door and sitting inside without saying a word, she avoided Visions gaze for fear or him noticing just how much she was blushing.

Vision watched and smiled as he proceeded to enter the driver door and started the car, taking them back to the apartment building.

The car ride was quite, surprisingly a comfortable silence where both parties did not feel the need to speak.

Wanda glanced over to Vision, figuring that this would be the best time to look since he was so engrossed in driving home safely.

She noticed the few fine wrinkles that fluttered under his eyes and the freckles that kissed his cheeks, he was extremely handsome, she found herself thinking as she kept note on his physique, although it was hard to tell since they were sitting and there was a seat belt hindering Wanda's view of Visions body, she could still tell that he was muscular and found herself wondering what he looked like, how he felt, how he reacted when touched certain ways, she kept thinking this until Vision glanced over to her, quirking a brow at her gaze, causing her to snap her face forward, a blush as bright as the dawning sun spilled across Wanda's cheeks.

"Do you like what you see?"Vision teased as he chuckled, causing Wanda to bury her head into her lap.

"I wasnt looking at you! I was looking out the window past you!" she retorted, but knew it was useless, Vision knew she had been staring at him, and now would be the perfect time for the World to close up and swallow her.

Vision kept glancing between Wanda's huddled frame and the road and smiled, it had been a long time since he felt a connection with someone like this.

He found that he really enjoyed teasing her and was always anticipating her reactions, she was indeed cute he thought.

Vision parked the car in his designated bay and walked around the car, opening the door for Wanda, allowing her out.

Wanda was surprised by his gesture but smiled as she thanked him.

They walked in silence toward the elevator, Wanda's blush had now receded and Vision found himself glancing to his phone as a message from Virginia came up.

Hey V,

Vivian mentioned something

about a girl named Wanda?

Who is she? You know I dont

want strangers around the kids...

Vision groaned as he read the message but was surprised to find that there was more

also you can come over for dinner

Friday, if you like.. the kids would

like it and I.. well I

miss you..

Vision glanced over to Wanda as he thought of how best to reply, without really thinking he said

"Virginia just messaged me saying that she missed me and asked me over for dinner?"

Wanda glanced over to Vision, a smile forming on her lips as she spoke

"That's great! You guys might be able to mend your relationship"

Vision nodded slowly and couldnt help but notice how Wanda's smile faltered slightly, allowing a glimpse of sadness in her green eyes. He shook his head, pushing back thoughts of Wanda's feelings and glanced back to the message, he did have a chance.

He replied

Hello VV,

Ah yes, Wanda is one of the neighbours, Vivian took a shine to her, but I dont particularly know her all that well.

Dinner does sound fantastic,

I have missed you too.

Send.

Wanda was shifting slightly on her feet, feeling somewhat uncomfortable and she supposed agitated in Visions presence, she glanced up at the number on the elevator as she waited for it to ding open for them, she glanced over to Vision who was now smiling down at his phone, completely oblivious to her presence, she glanced back down and shrugged

'I'll take the stairs' she thought and turned toward the fire escape, it's only two flights of stairs, stairs that were made out of concrete, stairs that she feared falling on as it would most certainly kill her, but anything would be better that standing next to that idiotule she mused to herself as she marched steadily up the concrete steps.

It was so obvious to Wanda that Visions ex Virginia was stringing him along and the thought caused Wanda to groan in frustration.

Vision was such a sweet, kind and gentle guy - yes he did tease her, but there was never any malice in his words, he just wanted his family to be together.

Wanda sighed, there was no point feeling heartbroken over something that had never started.

She reached the floor just after Vision got off from the elevator, she noticed how he was glancing around the hallway, pacing between his apartment door and hers, she walked over and was surprised to see the worry on his face

"Wanda! oh my god I thought you had been kidnapped! Why didnt you say you were going?" he asked as he started to calm now that he saw that she was very much alright.

Wanda faked a smile at him and lied as she replied "I did, I said that I forgot something from the lower level"

Vision watched Wanda intently as she replied, he noted how she looked like a blank slate, no emotion what so ever dared to spring across her face, her smile was hard and her eyes were cold.

He didnt like seeing her this way

He nodded and turned to enter his apartment, saying a simple

"Goodbye"

Wanda watched as he closed the door to his apartment and ensured her face remained as emotional as stone as she entered her apartment, she needed a shower and to calm down before she would go to meet Pietro.

The days that followed were uncomfortable for Wanda and Vision as whenever they were in the same room, the tension was thick, even the headmaster had noticed but decided it be best that he left the youngsters to figure it out amongst themselves.

Wanda had found that she started to dread going to school, even leaving her apartment, as she was always bumping into Vision and she was still feeling rather sore from his decloration that he was going to mend his broken family.

She sighed 'ok he didnt really declare anything' she thought to herself as she walked through the hallway of the school, she was heading to the teachers lounge with a brown paper bag which held the contents of her lunch.

She opened the door and as instantly as she noticed him, her face hardened, emotion swept from her face as she walked inside the room, averting her eyes from Visions form as she proceeded to sit at an empty table to eat her lunch.

Vision watched her, he found himself feeling rather saddened by the instant change in Wanda's demeanor as she saw him and pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration as he tried to think of anything but Wanda and her ever growing presence in his mind.

Wanda inhaled her lunch and as quickly as she arrived, she got up to leave, nodding to Vision without even looking to see if he had even noticed her 'he was probably messaging Virginia' she found herself cursing at the jealous thought, what was wrong with her?! the man had a family and a second chance to mend it! Why was she acting like such a spoilt little copil (child)

She walked towards the door but yelped as she felt a firm grasp on her wrist, she turned to see Vision, holding her, his cheeks were flushed and his eyes looked pained.

Wanda coukdnt quite understand what happened and began worrying for him

"Viszh what's wrong?" her tone was gentle and her eyes were soft as she looked at him.

Vision couldnt help but smile as he watched her, there she is he thought to himself as he lowered his head to lean ontop of hers.

Wanda blushed from how close he was to her and was starting to try and wriggle herself a few inches from him as she kept talking "Vision are you ok?"she tried to avert her gaze as she noticed his blue eyes gazing into her own, she started to stutter

"I-I ha-have a-a another class soo-"

"I miss you" Visions words cut Wanda off, she was shocked by the sudden confession and sighed as she smiled sadly

"Theres not much to miss" she stated as she managed to gain some distance from him, her eyes had now remained downcast, the feeling of her heart welling and subsequently tearing inside her was beginning to take over.

Vision watched Wanda sadly, he didnt know what to do, he didnt understand where things went wrong, he would never understand this pull that he feels, almost as if gravity is forcing him to her, pushing him to be closer to her, it was something magical and it was terrifying.

He sighed as he let go of her hand but spoke up before she turned to leave, ensuring that she heard what he had to say

"I'm sorry about bailing on our date"

Wanda stopped and chuckled sadly as she replied "We never even got that far so dont worry about it" Her words were cold, almost like daggers that made Vision falter slightly, he looked to her and almost reached out to stop her but she was gone.
