Chapter One
It was a bright, sunny day in New York. People were walking a as a calm breeze was in the air. Suddenly, black-clad mercenaries led by Taskmaster attacked Avengers Tower. People screamed and fled as Taskmaster and his mercenaries killed the guards with their machine guns. One of Taskmaster's mercenaries was blasted away and Iron-Man swooped in with his suit's thrusters. "JARVIS, what do we got?" Iron-Man asked his suit's AI. "Taskmaster and his men are attacking the Tower." JARVIS replied. Taskmaster's men fired up at Iron-Man but the bullets bounced off with clanging sounds. "My turn." Iron-Man said. He fired at mercenaries with his suit's Unibeam and a glowing energy beam swept them off their feet. Then, Taskmaster himself descended and pulled out his energy sword. "Stark." Taskmaster said. "You can't stop us." "That's what you said last time when you were with the Wrecking Crew." Iron-Man said. Taskmaster swiped at Iron-Man with his energy sword but Iron-Man blocked the blade with his armor bracers before he kicked Taskmaster away. Then a blue, white, and red Vibranium Shield flew through the air and knocked down some of Taskmaster's mercenaries before it returned to it's owner. Iron-Man turned around to see Captain America, Hulk, Thor, and Black Widow. "Good timing." Iron-Man said as he blasted one of Taskmaster's men. "Let's see how many you can take out." "Oh, it's on." Cap replied. "Loser pays the bill when we get to Shawarma." Cap shield-bashed mercenaries in their faces. Hulk rammed mercenaries down with his superstrength. Thor whacked mercenaries with Mjolnir and Black Widow zapped them with her taser disk launcher. Then, an armored truck drove up to Avengers Tower and rammed itself in, battering the door open. "Where're they headed?" Iron-Man asked JARVIS. "Scanners indicate they are moving to the Weapons Room." JARVIS said. "They're going for your Stark Pulse Cannon." "Cover me." Iron-Man said to his fellow Avengers. "I'm going after them." Iron-Man flew in and blasted through hordes of mercenaries with his repulsor beams as he reached the Weapons Room. Taskmaster was about to take off with an armored box when Iron-Man came in. "Give it up, Taskmaster." Iron-Man said. "You'll lose anyway." "Not today." Taskmaster replied. "The world will remember this day as the day their heroes failed them." Iron-Man blasted at Taskmaster but he blocked the beams with his shield before he swiped at Iron-Man with his sword. Iron-Man blocked the blade with his arms before he punched Taskmaster and kicked him twice in the chest, causing Taskmaster to drop the armored box. Iron-Man went to grab it but Taskmaster fired an energy bola and trapped Iron-Man. "Better luck next time, Stark." Taskmaster said as he grabbed the armored box and flew out the window with his jetpack. "What happened?" Cap asked as he ran in and helped up Iron-Man. "They got away." Iron-Man said. "I can track them but we can't do this alone. We need help." "Well, Hawkeye's busy taking down Crime Master's gang." Cap replied. "I know." Iron-Man said. "I'm gonna go get Rhodey." Cap said. "Where's yours?"
Chapter Two
"Hey, May." Peter Parker said as he went into his apartment room. "There was this crazy car parked outside my school-" He stopped in mid-sentence when he saw Tony Stark. " Oh my god! What are you doing here, Mr Stark?" Parker asked. "You applied for my grant, remember?" Stark replied. Parker did not but he just decided to go along with it. "Yeah, I did, I totally forgot." Parker lied. "What, you've been keeping secrets from me this entire time?" May asked. "I thought you liked surprises." Parker said. "Can I just say your aunt's really pretty, because, wow, I can't imagine." Stark said. "Well, we come in all different shapes and sizes." May said. "True. Can I have a word with the kid?" Stark asked. "Sure." May replied and Stark and Parker went into Parker's room. "First up, I definitely didn't apply for your grant-" "Uh-uh, me first." Stark said. "So you're this crime fighting Spider-person. Spider-Boy?" "No, I'm not. That's all done on the computer." Parker replied. "Like those UFOs over Phoenix?" Stark asked. He noticed the closet door was open and pulled out a red and blue suit. "No, no, hey." Parker said. He ran over and grabbed the suit back before he shoved it in the closet and closed the door. "Uh... Yeah, so, I've been Spider-Man for six months now and yeah, I would love to play football but I couldn't then so I shouldn't now." Parker said. "Why are you doing this?" Stark asked. "When you do the things I can but you don't and then the bad things happen, they happen because of you." Parker replied. "You ever been to the Atlantic?" Stark asked. "You'll love it." "No, I can't just drop out of school!" Parker said. "Why not?" Stark asked. "Cuz I got homework." Parker muttered lamely. "I'm just gonna pretend I didn't here that. Better tell Aunt Hotie I'm taking you out for a field trip-" Parker fired his webshooter and Stark's arm was caught in webbing. "Don't tell Aunt May." Parker said. "Okay, Spider-Man." Stark said. "Get me outta this." "Sorry, I'll get the-"
Chapter Three
The Quinjet hovered over HYDRA's base in Long Island. The Avengers dropped in and crept through the place when they saw a large room where the HYDRA troopers were copying the Stark Pulse Cannon. As the Avengers watched, one of the HYDRA troopers lifted a Stark Pulse Cannon with a forklift and attached it onto a huge plane with the HYDRA skull symbol on it. "Sir, we're almost ready." a HYDRA trooper said to Red Skull. "Good. Now we will crush the Avengers and SHIELD in one triumphant day." Skull said. "They're copying my Stark Pulse Cannon and putting it onto their planes." Iron-Man said. "We gotta stop them." Iron-Man flew in and blasted away HYDRA troopers with his repulsors. Cap face-bashed HYDRA troopers with his shield. Hulk rammed through HYDRA troopers and Thor whacked them away with Mjolnir. Black Widow and War Machine shot at HYDRA troopers with their taser disks and repulsors. Spider-Man face-kicked HYDRA troopers and webbed them to the walls with his webshooters. Then Taskmaster came in and fought Cap as Iron-Man fought Red Skull. "This one's gonna hurt." Iron-Man said as he blasted Red Skull. Skull used an energy shield to block the repulsor beams before he fired at Iron-Man with his energy pistol. Iron-Man dodged the shots. The fight against Taskmaster wasn't going well either. Taskmaster swiped at Cap with his energy sword but Cap blocked the strikes with his shield before he kicked Taskmaster in the chest and knocked him out by punching his helmet. Meanwhile, Iron-Man tried to shoot Skull but his repulsors couldn't get through the energy shield. Then Skull shot Iron-Man and the energy bolt glanced off his shoulder plate. Iron-Man groaned as he fell down. "The great Tony Stark defeated at last." Skull said. Skull was about to shoot Iron-Man when Thor flew in and bashed him with his hammer. Skull got back up and left as the HYDRA planes took off from the hangar. "They're taking off." Spider-Man said. "My guess is they're going to go for SHIELD first so they can take us out without any opposition." Cap said. "Then we have to warn Fury." Stark said. If SHIELD was destroyed, HYDRA would go for the Avengers next and then they would take over the world.
Chapter Four
At the SHIELD HQ, Fury had a call from the Avengers that HYDRA was going to attack them. Fury had everyone prepared but it was too late as HYDRA planes fired at the SHIELD HQ with their Stark Pulse Cannons. "Turn on the forcefield!" Fury said. "Get our pilots out there!" A blue forcefield appeared around the SHIELD HQ as SHIELD jets went out to defend the base but most of them were blasted by the HYDRA planes. Then a repulsor beam blasted a HYDRA plane out of the sky as Iron-Man swooped in with the rest of the Avengers. The final battle had begun.
Chapter Five
Iron-Man and War Machine took out HYDRA planes with their repulsors and missiles. Cap frisbeed his shield and it rammed into some of the HYDRA planes' propellors, causing them to crash. Hulk blasted HYDRA planes with a wave of gamma energy as Thor took out HYDRA planes with his hammer. Then a HYDRA truck pulled up and HYDRA troopers stormed the SHIELD HQ, killing many of the guards. Spider-Man and Black Widow took out the troopers with their webs and taser disks. Even Fury and Maria Hill helped out as he shot HYDRA troopers with his pistol. Then a HYDRA Exo-Suit trooper charged in and rammed down many SHIELD guards with his energy fists. Spider-Man swung in and webbed up the Exo-Suit trooper before he punched him back. The Exo-Suit trooper tried to hit Spider-Man but he dodged, webbed the trooper's head, and yanked down hard, knocking him out. Then JARVIS told Iron-Man that a HYDRA bomber was coming in. "Who's piloting it?" Iron-Man asked. "Red Skull." JARVIS replied. "He's going for the SHIELD HQ. I have to stop him." Iron-Man said. He flew toward the HYDRA bomber but HYDRA planes attacked him. Iron-Man dodged their energy pulses before he blew them up with his Unibeam. Then Iron-Man kicked the HYDRA bomber and it flew off course as it slammed into the ground and exploded but Red Skull jumped out inside a HYDRA mech. "This ends today Stark." Skull snarled. Iron-Man braced himself as he prepared for the final fight with Red Skull.
Chapter Six
Skull shot at Iron-Man with his mech's hand lasers but Iron-Man dodged the lasers before he fired back with his repulsors. A forcefield appeared around Skull's mech and blocked the repulsor beams. Iron-Man kept trying to shoot Skull and the forcefield flickered. Then it went out and Iron-Man rammed into Skull's mech, sending it stumbling, before he blasted the mech down with his repulsors. Skull tried to get his mech back up but it wouldn't move. Then Skull climbed out of his damaged mech before he fired at Iron-Man with his energy pistol. Iron-Man dodged the energy bolts before he blasted Skull back. Skull grunted in pain as he fell. Then he and Iron-Man engaged in hand-to-hand combat as they punched and kicked each other but Iron-Man stunned Skull with a repulsor blast, knocking out the villain. All around Iron-Man, the Avengers had defeated the last of the HYDRA troopers and planes. They had won.
Chapter Seven
At the SHIELD HQ, Maria Hill meet up with Fury. "So what do we do now?" Hill asked. "They've gone their separate ways. If we get into a situation like this again, what happens then?" "They'll come back." Fury replied. "You sure about that?" Hill asked. "I am." Fury said. "Because we need them."
Epilogue
In the HYDRA HQ , Armin Zola was making a speech to the HYDRA troopers. "Even though Red Skull is in prison, we will not fall." Zola said. "We shall begin the plan immediately. Hail HYDRA!" "Hail HYDRA!" the troopers repeated. Zola grinned. Soon he would rule the world and the Avengers would be dead.
