Kate watched as Crowley and Dean left, then hung her head and crossed her arms over her chest. "Sam…please spare me right now. I just want to shower and change" she said softly. He nodded and didn't press her any further. "Yeah, okay…just…leave the bathroom door open and yell if you need anything." She wasn't in the mood to argue about the door so just nodded her head and continued down the hall.

She stripped her clothes and kept them in a pile, knowing she was burning them later. Shakily, she stepped into the shower and let an exhausted hand run over her face as she wracked her brain for more information, while still trying to process the fact her brothers now knew her big secret. Once she finished, she wrapped a towel around her and went into her room, dressing in a pair of black lounge pants and one of Dean's old AC/DC shirts.

Knowing she wouldn't be able to hide forever, she went back out to the main area to find Sam sitting at the table with his computer in front of him, doing research. Without a word, she walked over to him and sat down, resting her head on his shoulder. He shifted and wrapped his arms around her, letting out a breath he didn't know he was holding. "Kate" he whispered, still trying to find words to say. "I'm…I'm so sorry about what happened and that we weren't there for you. If you ever want to talk, I want you to know that Dean and I…we're here for you."

His words brought tears to her eyes and she was secretly thankful that Sam stayed behind. He was always better with words and sharing his thoughts. "Thanks Sammy. I really don't remember a whole lot, but…I'll keep that in mind." She sighed and pulled away, looking down at her lap before looking up at him, knowing what his next questions were.

"We were on a hunt a few months back, the vamp nest in Nebraska…you and Dean were in the house and I went out to the shed around back. There were three back there. I got one, but the other two took me down. I'm still not sure why he was there, but…Crowley came out of nowhere saved me that night. He could've let me die, but he didn't and I don't know…things just happened." She felt her cheeks flush, feeling awkward about telling him. "I wanted to keep it from you for obvious reasons. But he's perfect, Sam. I know that sounds crazy, but he treats me very well. He's kind and gentle, completely different with me."

She could see his jaw clenched and he shook his head. "Kate…he's a demon. The king of hell. He's playing you. He's nice now until he gets what he wants from you and then you're useless to him. Demons are not good, Kate…" he stated, knowing that she would understand he was referencing tonight's events. "And Crowley is the king of them." His green eyes bore into hers and she could sense the urgency he was pushing with this. "Kate, I'm serious. Stop whatever this is with Crowley and stop it fast."

Her eyes stayed focused on his for a moment before pulling away and looking down at the scratched surface of the table. She knew she should believe him, listen to every word and run, but she felt that Crowley really cared for her. "I know what you're saying Sammy, I do. But why would he kill one of his own for me? I mean…he seemed upset." She didn't look at him as she let the silence linger for a moment before looking back to her brother. Sam shook his head and sighed. "There are two types of men in this world, Kate. Men that do what they did to you…and men that want revenge on those types of men that would do that. Crowley wouldn't do that to a woman apparently…and you really think he cares about this demon anyway?"

With a harsh sigh, she looked down at her lap and let everything sink in. "I guess I just…I don't know. I guess I thought I was special. Guess that was pretty stupid" she mumbled, picking at the bench they were sitting on. "Maybe you're right. Maybe this was all just a game to him." She stood and shook her head, turning to walk to her room, but a firm hand gripped her wrist. "Kate…you are special. Incredibly. You're beautiful, intelligent, and a bad ass. But don't say you're not special because of a demon. It's in his blood to play games and make you second guess things." He pulled her into a hug and let go when she started to pull away. "It's late…early, whatever you want to call it, but you've had a pretty long night. Why don't you try to get some sleep? I'll be right here and Dean should be back soon." With a small smile, she nodded and kissed the top of his head. "Thanks Sammy" she said softly before heading down to her room to finally get some rest.
