They were sitting outside the warehouse, going over the plan before Sam and Dean got out. "You're staying here, anything looks off you call Cas. Got it?" Dean gave the hard stare at his sister and she rolled her eyes. "Yea, got it" she mumbled, crossing her arms over her chest as they got their weapons together. "You know, this isn't what I had in mind when I asked to go on a hunt!" she yelled after them. It had been a half hour since they left and still no sign of them. It shouldn't have taken this long to find the demon. She checked her phone and waited a few more minutes before getting out of the car.
She grabbed her knife and stuck it in the waistline of her jeans, then headed into the property. She kept a watchful eye around her as she opened the door and slipped in, trying to find her brothers. Before she had time to react, she felt something hard hitting her head and she was on the ground.
Kate found herself standing uncomfortably when she came to, the only thing holding her up were the chains around her wrists above her head. She groaned as she started to come to, watching as Sam and Dean struggled in their own bonds across the room. She looked around and saw a demon heading over to her with a smirk on his face, the same smirk they always carried when they got a Winchester. "Well hello there, name's Cam." He took his knife and sliced her shirt, cutting her abdomen in the process. She inhaled and squeezed her eyes shut as he moved the blade up to her neck.
"Now what are you three doing snooping around here?" He pressed the knife a little harder into her neck and for the first time, she felt relief. She smirked back at him and shook her head. "That's none of your damn business." He pressed the blade further, drawing blood this time. "Sweetheart, you're mistaken if you think I won't kill you." Sam and Dean were in the background, giving her the look to shut up. Kate looked from them to the demon. "You're mistaken if you think that I care." She heard his growl and felt the pressure grow before it was gone. The blade dropped to the ground and the demon was gone in a flash.
"Well what do we have here?" His British accent penetrating her ears. "Never seen a Winchester give up so easily, but then again it is you we're talking about." She hung her head and stared down at her feet. "What do you want, Crowley?" He walked around her before stopping in front of her and lifting her chin. "To know why you three are always trying to stop my plans." Kate looked back down at the floor and remained silent. "You don't have anything to say now, puppet? You know that bracelet of yours? I took it and gave it to someone worthy." He smirked, knowing it would get under her skin. The golden bracelet was actually tucked at his bedside in a black velvet box, but she didn't need to know that.
Kate felt as though her heart was ripping into shreds. "Is this what you want? Payback?" Her voice was small as she spoke and he laughed, almost getting angry when he saw her tears. "You were the one that told me to leave, remember?" he spat out. She swallowed thickly and nodded her head, her arms starting to ache from being chained above her head so long. "I know…" He took a step forward so he was right in her face, daring to ask. "You know, but?" he questioned, assuming that's where she was heading.
Her eyes shifted to Sam and Dean before Crowley forcefully turned her head to face him. "Well?" Kate felt her heart pounding fast in her chest. This moment was more terrifying than anything else the night brought them. "I was going through a lot, Crowley. I still feel…violated and hurt. What would you want with a broken human? I love you…but you deserve better than me; if that meant I had to be miserable without you, then so be it." Her words hung in the air as her brothers took in the confession, but it was Crowley that acted next.
"You pushed me away to keep me happy?" It was more rhetorical as he let the words sink in. "No one has ever said they loved me before. Why?" He was silent as he waited for Kate to answer. She shifted a little, her muscles aching. "You made me laugh, treated me like a queen…and I just fell for you. But Crowley, that's in the past, I want you to…" the rest of her sentence was cut off when he placed his lips over hers. She groaned slightly with pleasure and pain as he shifted her uncomfortably with his weight. He snapped his fingers and let her loose, holding her close. "Katherine, love. Accept my apology for treating you poorly" he stated before stroking her cheek. She smiled weakly and looked over at her brothers. "Can you let them go too?"
With a snap of his fingers, Sam and Dean both fell to the ground groaning as the rubbed their aching muscles. Dean was the first to approach them, grabbing Crowley's jacket as he yanked him off of her, punching him in the face. "Stay away from her!" Crowley snapped his fingers and Sam and Dean were gone. Kate looked at Crowley in horror, but his face softened. "Relax, puppet, I zapped them back to the bunker…safe and sound." She looked down at her phone to see Dean calling her and she visibly relaxed and exhaled. "So. Now what?"
