A/N: This is an idea that popped into my head while watching Power Rangers Time Force. I hope you all enjoy!
Metropolis 2003
"It's time."
"I can't just let you go." He told her, his voice cracking on the words.
"You have to Clark. Ransik's been beaten, and we've all been ordered back, including me."
"Then tell them no. Ignore the orders. Stay with me or if you can't do that, then let me come with you."
"I would give anything to be able to do that, but we both know I can't. If I did we'd be hunted for the rest of our lives. It wouldn't matter where we went." She replied, a tear falling down her face.
"I don't care! It would all be worth it, as long as I'm with you." He told her forcefully, trying to keep his own tears from being seen. For a moment neither said a word; then the woman pulled him close and kissed him, for what both knew would be the last time.
"I will always love you Clark." She told him before taking the morpher from him, both of them knowing that he couldn't keep it.
"I love you." Clark said and she smiled before boarding the time ship and disappearing.
Metropolis Present Day
"Clark, are you ok man?" Oliver Queen asked, breaking Clark out of his revive; it was no longer 2003 and he wasn't seventeen. No it was 2010 and he was now twenty-four, and about to get married to Lois Lane. He shook his head, attempting to ignore the face of Jenifer Scotts that kept breaking into his thoughts; she was in the year 3000 and he would never see her again.
"Goodbye Jen." He whispered softly before turning to face his best man.
"I'm fine Oliver, now let's not keep the minister waiting." He replied before following Oliver out of the back room of the chapel, both of them taking their places as the wedding music began. Clark smiled as he saw Lois walk down the aisle, but part of him couldn't help but wish that it was another woman wearing her dress. She got to the altar and the minister began.
"Do you Lois Lane take Clark Kent to be your husband?"
"I do."
"Do you Clark Kent, take Lois Lane to be your wife?"
Clark hesitated for the merest fraction of a second before he answered.
"I do."
"Do any object to this union?"
For a moment, there was silence, and then the door to the church burst open.
"I'm afraid I have to object."
Standing there and looking as though she hadn't aged a day was Jenifer Scotts.
"Who the hell are-" Lois began hotly, but Clark cut her off as he began to walk towards her.
"Jen?" He asked, his voice nearly breaking as he looked into her brown eyes.
"It's me Clark."
"How?"
"How do you think?" She replied, making them both smile before her face suddenly became serious.
"I'm afraid this isn't a social call. Ransik and Nadira have escaped, and I need your help."
"Can someone tell me what the HELL is going on here?" Lois asked.
"In a minute Lois." Clark replied, looking to Oliver who knocked the minister unconscious, before the Last Son of Krypton turned back to Jen who threw him a syringe. Ignoring the gasps from everyone else Clark stuck the needle in his arm before handing Jen the syringe.
"I think this is yours." She told him, handing him his morpher. He smiled as he placed it on his wrist.
"Now, let's see if you still remember what I taught you." She told him, and his smile broadened as he said the words that would be forever ingrained in his mind.
"TIME FOR TIME FORCE!"
"Clark, what happened to you?"
"Isn't it obvious Lois?" Chloe asked with a smile.
"Clark's a power ranger."
"I think I need to sit down." Oliver muttered before doing just that, making everyone laugh.
"Oliver, Lois, Cater, Zatanna, Bruce, Diana, Bart, Dinah,AC this is Jenifer Scotts. Jen I think you already knew who they are and I'm sure you remember Chloe." He said and she smiled and nodded, shaking hands with each of them, and exchanging a glare with Lois before she turned her attention back to Clark.
"Clark, before I tell you what happened, there's something I have to show you."
"Why do I have a feeling I'm not going to like it?"
"Because you're not. Access file 976.01password Al's." She said, causing Clark to smile.
"You remembered."
"Like I'd ever forget." She replied, before looking down at her morpher, which now showed a video file.
"Begin."
The video began to play and Clark looked on in horror at what he was seeing; according to the time stamp on the video it was exactly four months from today. He had just come home and walked into his bedroom only to find AC and Lois in his bed.
"That is such bullshit!" Lois yelled, but Jen ignored her, only stopping the video at a look from Clark. Clark turned and looked at Lois, fixing her with such a harsh glare that she actually took a step back.
"How long?" He asked, his voice eerily calm, which somehow made it all the more threatening.
"Clark you can't actually believe what's on that video can you?"
"Actually I can. I know Jen would never lie to me."
"And I also happen to be from the year 3000, so believe when I say my files are accurate." Jen said with a cold smile that made Lois glare.
"Power down." Clark said before looking Lois dead in the eye.
"I'll ask you one more time Lois. How long?"
"Listen boyscout just back off, and forget whatever lies you're seeing." AC spoke up, and Clark turned to glare at him, eyes full of anger and betrayel.
"I trusted you. You were my friend, my brother, someone I would die for, and you have the nerve to sleep with my fiancee and then tell me to BACK OFF?!"
"You didn't seem to make such a big deal when Oliver-"
"You know damn well that's different! Oliver was with Lois and he never went behind my back!" Clark yelled, before walking up and punching AC in the face.
"Clark-" AC said as he clutched his bleeding nose, still surprised to find himself alive.
"No, don't say a word. Oh, and in case you didn't get the memo, the wedding's off." He said to Lois, dropping his ring in her palm.
"Clark, you're not thinking straight. All the stuff going on with Zod, it's left you hurting and now you're confused-"
"No Lois I'm not confused. For the first time I'm seeing everything clearly. I never should have proposed to you. I should have never begun seeing you in the first place."
"YOU did this! If you hadn't shown up and ruined my day, I would be the wife of the world's-"
"Greatest hero?" Jen finished looking at her with a mixture of disgust and pity.
"You are so deluded you know that? First you somehow think that Clark and Zod are one and the same, and then you proceed to try and get information on Clark for a madman who wanted him dead!"
"That was a-"
"And then" Jen continued, cutting her off, "You have the nerve to tell him that he needs to spend more time being a hero?!"
"He is a hero and-"
"And he needs a life! I don't know if you are just so deluded that you can't see past the hero or if you only tried to call off the wedding so you wouldn't feel guilty, but I do know that you don't deserve Clark. You don't understand that Clark Kent makes the hero, the hero dosen't make him."
"Clark Kent is a mask."
"No Lois, Clark Kent is who I am, and I see now that you can't see that so we have nothing left to say. Ready to go Jen?" He asked and she smiled before kissing him on the lips.
"Now I'm ready to go." She said with a grin, and he smiled in return before he took her hand and the two began to walk out of the church.
"Clark, if you need help-"
"I know Oliver." He said with a smile before the two of them walked out of the church.
"So how long was it for you?" He asked as they walked down the street.
"Two years, two very long years."
"Well now that I have you, I'm never letting you go again."
"Aw look at the lovebirds."
"Shut up Lucas." Clark shot back as he saw his friend round the corner with Trip, Katie and Eric behind him.
"How have you been man?" Lucas asked a few moments later.
"Good, although when were you going to tell me that you and Katie got together?" He asked, pleased to see his friend blush; however before Lucas could respond they found themselves surrounded by cyclobots.
"Just like old times." Clark muttered before kicking one of the robots in the face, sending it crashing into three more before slamming his elbow into another one's chest. It had been more than seven years since he had fought side by side with his friends, but it felt like it was just yesterday as they proceeded to destroy the cyclobots.
"Well that was fun." Eric said, but before they could celebrate all of them were thrown to their knees as they were struck by a beam of energy.
"Ransik." Clark growled out as he saw the mutant leader standing there.
"Should I know you?" Ransik sneered as the Rangers stood up.
"Only seven years and you've already forgotten the guy who broke your old sword. Well maybe this will remind you. Ready guys?"
"Ready!"
"Time For Time Force!"
"Quantam Power!"
"V-weapons!" The Ranger's yelled, pulling out their blasters, and shooting at Ransik, who stumbled under the force of the blasts.
"You get one chance Ransik. Come quietly." Clark told him, and Ransik just laughed in response before disappearing in a flash of light.
"He'll be back." Trip said and the others nodded before they all powered down.
"When he does we'll be waiting. Now let's go." Clark said, and the remaining Ranger's looked at him in surprise.
"What? You didn't think I was going to make you stay at the Watchtower did you? Now let's go."
Smiling and shaking their heads the other Ranger's got on their Vector cycles and followed their leader out of the city.
"Welcome home." He said as he parked his bike outside the Kent farm.
"That sounds nice." Jen said as she got off her bike and followed the man she loved into the house, the others following behind.
"So how did Ransik and Nadira escape?" Clark asked a few moments later as they all sat down around the living room.
"We had a traitor in Time Force that got paid off. Ransik stole a time ship and came back here to try and take over the world again."
"So you were told to follow him." Clark reasoned but Jen shook her head before offering him a smile.
"Actually we're all considered fugitives."
"WHAT?!"
"Apparently the top brass and I quote 'didn't want to risk sending a team of time force officers that almost did irreperable damage to the timeline by involving a civilian the last time Ransik escaped.'"
"So in other words they were pissed that a guy from 2003 was a Ranger." Clark said and Jen nodded.
"I thought about it and I decided that the rules didn't matter anymore. Ransik had escaped and I had a chance to see the ma I love, so there was no question what I was going to do."
"And we're a team so there's no way we would let Jen go by herself." Trip said, and Clark smiled in thanks.
"Then you can all hang together."
The Ranger's looked towards the door and their mouths dropped open in shock.
Jen finally managed to whisper a single word.
"Alex?"
