At Giza port, hundreds of people swarm the docks. Across from the Nile, Pyramids spike the sky. Among the hundreds of people, Evy and Jonathan walk to the boat and wait for Amelia and Rick.

"Do you really think they'll show up?" Evy asked, "I mean Amelia I can trust with no question, but her brother."

"Undoubtedly, I know the breed, they may be Americans, but their word is their word," Jonathan told her.

"Personally, I think he's filthy, rude and a complete scoundrel. I don't like him one bit," Evy told her brother.

"Anyone I know?" Rick asked.

Evy and Jonathan turn around and see Amelia and Rick walking up behind them. Rick was shaved, showed, his hair cut and new clothes.

"Oh... um,... hello," Evy greeted slightly impressed and embarrassed.

Jonathan grabs Rick's hand and shakes it, "Smashing day for the start of an adventure, eh, O'Connell?"

"Yeah, sure, smashing," Rick replied as he quickly checks his pockets. He finds his wallet and relaxes.

"Oh, no, no, I'd never steal from a partner... partner," Jonathan said.

"That reminds me. No hard feelings about the-" Rick mimics punching Jonathan.

"Oh, no, no. Happens all the time."

"Mr. O'Connell. Amelia. Can you look me in the eye and guarantee me this isn't some kind of flimflam?" Evy asked, "Because if it is, I am warning you-"

"You're warning us?" Rick questioned, "Lady, let me put it this way: our whole damn garrison believed in this so much... that without orders, they marched halfway across Libya and into Egypt to find that city."

"And when we got there, all we found was sand... and blood," Amelia finished.

"Let me get your bags," Rick picked up Evy's bags and heads up the gangplank onto the passenger barge. Evy's eyes follow him wistfully and Jonathan notices.

"Yes, yes, you're right. Filthy, rude, a complete scoundrel. Nothing to like there at all.

"Bright good morning to all," The Warden greeted them.

"Oh, no. What are you doing here?" Evy asked.

"I'm here to protect my investment, thank you very much," He said as he walked on the gangplank.

"I really don't like that guy," Amelia told them before walking onto the gangplank.

A while later, the boat took off from the docks and sailed down the Nile.

It is night now, and the moon shines on the desert as the boat sails down the Nile.

Amelia and Rick come out through a door, Rick carrying a gunny-sack, and see Jonathan playing poker.

Jonathan looks over his shoulder, "Oh, O'Connells, sit down, we could use another player."

"I only gamble with my life, never my money," Rick told them.

"Same goes for me," Amelia said.

"Never?" Daniels asked, "What if I was to bet you $500 we get to Hamunaptra before you?"

"You're looking for Hamunaptra?" Rick asked.

"Damn straight we are, " Henderson replied.

"And who says we are?" Amelia asked.

The three men point to Jonathan, "He does."

"Well, how 'bout it? Is it a bet?" Daniels asked.

Rick smiles, "All right, you're on."

"What makes you so confident, sir?" Chamberlin asked.

"What makes you?" Amelia asked.

"We got us a man who's actually been there, Darling," Henderson told her.

"Oh, what a coincidence, because the O'Connells-" Rick hits Jonathan with his bag. Jonathan quickly changed the subject, Whose play is it? Is it- Is it my play? I thought-"

"Gentlemen, we got us a wager."

"Good evening, Jonathan."

"Goodnight.

Rick and Amelia walk away from Jonathan and went off to find Evy. They saw her reading a book with her back turned to them. They walk up to her, and Rick dropped his bag in front of her. Evy jumped in her seat.

"Sorry. Didn't mean to scare ya," Rick apologized.

"The only thing that scares me, Mr. O'Connell, are your manners," Evy went back to her book.

"Still angry about that kiss, huh?" He asked.

"Well, if you call that a kiss."

Rick opened the bag, revealing revolvers, pistols, hunting knives, a massive elephant gun, and a half dozen carefully wrapped sticks of dynamite. Evy's eyes widen when she saw the artillery. She takes off her glasses and puts down her book. Rick and Amelia sat down at the table.

" Um, did I miss something? Are we- Are we going into battle?" She asked.

"Lady, there's something out there. Something underneath that sand," Rick replied.

"Yes, well, I'm hoping to find a certain artifact. A book, actually. My brother thinks there's treasure. What do you think's out there? In a word?" Evy asked them.

"Evil," Amelia and Rick answered simultaneously.

"The Bedouin and the Tuaregs believe that Hamunaptra is cursed," Rick continued.

"Oh, look, I don't believe in fairy tales and hokum, Mr. O'Connell, or you Amelia… but I do believe one of the most famous books in history is buried there. The Book of Amun-Ra. It contains within it all the secret incantations of the old kingdom. It's what first interested me in Egypt when I was a child. It's why I came here- sort of a life's pursuit," Evy told them.

"And the fact that they say it's made out of pure gold makes no never mind to you, right?" Rick asked.

"You know your history," She said.

"My sister knows her history," Rick told her.

"My brother knows his treasure," Amelia told her.

"Um... by the way… why did you kiss me?" Evy asked Rick.

Rick, cleaning his guns, just shrugged his shoulders, "I was about to be hanged. It seemed like a good idea at the time."

Evy becomes furious and she gets up from the table and stormed off.

"What? What'd I say?" Rick asked as she left.

Amelia gave her brother an annoyed look, but before he could say anything they heard a noise. They look over and saw a shadow of someone hiding behind some crates. Amelia and Rick took their pistols and walked over. Rick grabbed the person hiding by their shirt collar and pulls them out before holding them against the crates. And the person hiding was Beni, their good friend who left them in the desert.

Beni screeched, "Surprise! My good friends, you're alive! I was so very, very worried."

"Well, if it ain't our little buddy Beni," Rick said.

"I think we'll kill you," Amelia said, she and Rick then put their pistols in Beni's face.

"Think of my children," He begged.

"You don't have any children," Amelia told him.

"Someday I might."

"Shut up!" Rick shouted at Beni making him jump, "So you're the one who's leading the Americans. I might have known. What's the scam? You take them into the desert, and then you leave 'em to rot?"

"Like what you did to us," Amelia reminded him.

"Unfortunately, no," Beni said, looking sad and pathetic, "These Americans are smart. They pay me only half now, half when I get them back to Cairo. So this time I must go alI the way."

"Them's the breaks, huh?" Rick said as he and Amelia put their guns away.

"You never believed in Hamunaptra, O'Connell. Why are you going back?" Beni asked.

Rick, Amelia, and Beni looked over at Evy stroking one of the camels.

"You see that girl? She and Amelia saved my neck, "Rick told him.

"You always did have more balls than brains," Beni snorted.

"Yeah," Rick said in a fake laugh before whispering to Amelia, "Here's your chance."

"Beni, I've been wanting to do this for a long time," Amelia gets him closer to the railing, "Good-bye, Beni."

She grabs him and chucks him overboard.

"O'Connells!" Beni shouted as he was thrown into the water.

Rick and Amelia started to walk off, but then they spot a few sets of wet footprints coming up over the railing from the river and heading down the deck. They looked at each other knowing that trouble is here.

Amelia and Rick rushed off to Evy's room. A few minutes later, they were able to find it. They took out their pistols.

"Evelyn!" They yelled before Rick kicked the door open.

They burst in, gun in each hand.

A robed man with a hook spins Evelyn around and holds her out in front of him. Rick and Amelia look at her.

A window bursts open from another robed man. Rick and Amelia turn around and fire at him. The man falls dead, but one of Rick's bullets hit the lantern and the kerosene splashes on the sofa, it bursts into flames.

Evy grabs the candle on the table and jams it back over her shoulder, right into the man's eye. He screeches in pain and lets her go.

Another robed man aims his guns at them through the window. Amelia fires at him while Rick grabs Evy and gets her out of the flaming room.

Evy runs down the hallway before turning back, "The map! The map! we forgot the map!"

Rick and Amelia stop and turn her around. Amelia grabs Evy as they walk down the hall.

Rick says, "Relax. We're the map, "He taps his and Amelia's forehead, "It's all up here.

"Oh, that's comforting," Evy sarcastically said.

"No doubt there's more of these guys around. So we better hurry," Amelia told them.

Rick, Amelia, and Evy race out onto the deck near the horse paddock. The entire boat was in chaos. People are screaming, shouting, jumping off the boat and into the water.

"Hold this," Rick handed Evy the gunny sack.

They ducked behind the wall. Rick and Amelia began to reload their pistols just as another robed man shoots at them from the other side of the paddock.

Amelia quickly puts in a bullet before shooting the robed man. She ducks back behind the wall and starts reloading her gun as Rick is doing.

As they reload their guns, shots were getting closer and closer to Rick until Evy grabbed him by his shirt collar and pulled him out of the way. One of the shots had almost hit Amelia, but Evy kicked one of her legs off the ground causing her to fall.

"Thanks," Amelia said. She finished reloading her gun and stood up.

Rick and Amelia exchanged gunfire with several of the robed men as they and Evy made their way to the railing of the boat.

"Can you swim?" Rick asked Evy as he takes the gunny sack and throws it over his shoulder.

"Well, of course, I can swim, if the occasion calls for it," Evy replied.

"Trust me it calls for it," Rick told her as he picks her up and throws her over into the water. He then looks over at his sister.

"You do it, you die," Amelia said.

When Amelia and Rick were about to dive into the water, one of the robed came over the railing and tackled Rick to the floor.

Rick stood up ready to fight, but the robed man punched him first and continued to punch him. When his back hit one of the poles on the deck, the robed man began to strangle him. Amelia then jumped on the man's back and locked onto him. The robed man released Rick from his grasp and struggled to get Amelia off of his back.

When his back hit one of the poles on the deck, the robed man began to strangle him. Amelia then jumped on the man's back and locked onto him. The robed man released Rick from his grasp and struggled to get Amelia off of his back.

Rick took this opportunity and headbutted the man. Amelia jumps off his back and kicks him in the back of his knee.

Rick then kicks him in the back and sends him crashing through a door and into a room on fire.

"O'Connells! O'Connells! What are we going to do?" The Warden asked as he ran to them.

Rick throws the gunny sac back onto his shoulder, "Wait here! We'll go get help!"

Rick and Amelia jump over the railing, dive into the water and swam to shore. Rick, Amelia, Evy, Jonathan and the Warden walk out of the

water.

"We've lost everything! All of our tools, alI the equipment, all my clothes!" Evy listed as the walked on the shore.

"O'Connells! Hey, O'Connells!" They turned around and saw Beni, on the other side of the river with everyone else, shouting at them, "Looks to me I got all the horses!"

"Hey, Beni! Looks to me like your on the wrong side of the river!" Rick shouted back at him.

Beni looks up at the stars, then angrily kicks the sand. They watch the flaming barge slowly sink before heading out to find somewhere to get supplies.
