After the thanks were given and received, a question pops in Scottie's head. She could almost hear the 'ding' indicating a light-bulb moment.

"Why did you ever kiss me?" She questions.

"Excuse me? Scottie it's been years since I've done that. I haven't kissed you since we were dating?" he trailed.

"I know that, Harvey." she says bitterly. "I mean it seems as though everyone knows the one thing you don't, but honestly I don't think your that moronic to not realize it."

In a small silence, Harvey thinks but a name clouds his thoughts.

"Donna." He whispers.

"Yes Harvey, Donna. You're gonna shut up for the next five minutes, because I'm going to tell you the truth that for some reason you've been avoiding." Scottie takes a deep breath and continues, "I'm asking this rhetorically; why did you ever kiss me? I mean- I'm not even half as pretty as she is."

"Scottie-" he interrupts in distress.

"Don't Scottie me. I know I'm pretty, but Donna. She's well- Donna. God Harvey, you couldn't even stay quiet for five minutes." She quips half-joking. "For some reason, you and Donna cannot see that you are in love with one another. I'm sure that one way or another, she's the reason your relationships have ended. Vice versa. I don't say that negatively, but it's true, isn't it? This is such an 'Addison-Meredith-Derek' moment. Before you say anything, yes I watch Grey's Anatomy. Everyone and their mother watches Grey's Anatomy. " She pauses, "You need to tell her and if you say that your not in love with her I'm seriously going to come over there and knock some sense into you. I've seen the way you look at her, I mean her contact picture is a picture of her in your favourite blazer." The tension builds.

"I can't Scottie. Its- complicated." He lets out a deep breath.

"Why?" she tries. All she has ever wanted for him is to be happy, and a gut feeling gives her the sense that he'd be really happy with Donna. The line goes silent. He can't bear to utter everything out loud because truth be told, he's petrified of saying it out loud.

Abruptly, "Harvey, all I have ever wanted is for you to be happy. And I think Donna is the person that would make you happy. I don't want you to regret it when it's too late. It's not up to me." She takes a beat, "Thank you, for helping me with my dilemma."

"Anything for an old friend- when did you become such a sap?"

They continued joking, familiarly, as if no time had passed. A sinking feeling didn't leave his gut. He couldn't identify it but it was eating him up. All he could say was: it's complicated.
