A/N: Fox River is in Kansas not Illinois. Enjoy!

"Let him go kid."

"He killed her! All she wanted was a chance and he killed her!"

"That doesn't mean you need to turn into an executioner. Now let him go."

For a moment he just stared into the other boy's eyes, hearing each beat of his heart. A moment later he sighed and dropped him to the floor.

"Good, now put your hands behind your back."

"What? Why?"

"Clark Kent, you are under arrest for attempted murder. You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you…"

The rest of the Sheriff's words fell on deaf ears as Clark Kent was led out of the barn and placed inside the police car. The only thing he saw was Tim's smiling face, the only thing he felt was Alicia's body growing cold in his arms. For the first time in his life Clark Kent felt truly helpless.

Nine Months Later

"Clark Kent, you are hereby sentenced to three years at the Fox River State Penitentiary."

The Last Son of Krypton hung his head at the judge's words, barely registering his parent's gasp of shock or Lex telling him that they would fight this, that he would find a way to get him out. He ignored the cameras and mike's shoved in his face as he was escorted to the prison transport. As he was driven off toward the prison, he knew that it was over. Oh he was sure Lex and his family would do everything they could to get him out, but he knew it wasn't going to work. He had gone over the events of his arrest again and again, and he had finally reached a conclusion. He had been set up, and there was nothing he could do about it short of breaking himself out of prison. That wasn't an option because it would bring trouble for his parents. As he walked into his cell a little over an hour later, Clark had resigned himself to his fate. He would spend the next three years in prison.

"And it is official. Clark Kent, the son of possible state Senator Jonathan Kent has been sentenced to three years in the Fox River State Correctional Facility."

Michael Scofield smiled as he turned off the television, taking a moment to straighten his tie before walking out the door. All the pieces were in place. Now all he needed was to get himself arrested.

"Open on forty!"

Clark barely looked up as the door to his cell opened. He was nearly a month into his three year prison sentence, and had made it policy not to talk to his cellmates. Most weren't going to talk to him anyway after what he had done to T-Bag on his first day in the yard. The sick rapist had offered Clark 'protection' if he had joined him. He had responded by breaking his left arm and leg. Of course no one had reported it, not that it would have mattered if they did. You found out pretty quickly that the prison guards were just as corrupt as the criminals.

"I'm Michael Scofield."

"Good for you." Clark replied, continuing to stare at the ceiling.

"I know what happened to you. How some punk killed your girlfriend and then you got arrested because you wanted payback. You don't belong here."

"Well this isn't like a hotel, you can't just check out whenever you want."

"Hypothetically speaking…if you could get out would you?"

"Hypothetically speaking?" Clark asked as he turned to look at Michael for the first time.

"Hypothetically speaking….say someone had a way out would you be interested?" Michael asked.

"That depends on why they would want to break out, and what they would want me to do." He replied.

"My brother is Lincoln Burroughes."

"The man who killed the Vice-President's brother?" Clark asked, but Michael shook his head.

"You may find this hard to believe but he was set up."

"Actually I don't." He replied, thinking of his own circumstances that led to his imprisonment.

"So, hypothetically how would we do this?"

"We would need access to medical and control over PI for starters."

"Well John Abruzzi has PI in his pocket, but I think I can handle that without too much trouble. As for medical well…"

"Open up on forty! Scofield, Kent infirmary!"'

"Ask and ye shall receive." Clark muttered, and Michael grinned in response.

The two walked into medical where Clark saw Dr. Tancrettie whom he had met when he first arrived. However, the woman next to her stopped him in his tracks.

"You must be Clark Kent. I'll be handling your visit today."

"Do you have a name?" He asked when he finally trusted himself to speak.

"My name is Kara Danvers." She replied before escorting him over to one of the beds. Leaning over so as to check his pulse she spoke softly.

"What are you doing here Kal, and what's this I hear about an escape?"

A/N: I was watching Prison Break and this popped into my head! Should I continue?
