It was the day after the coffee date. Eddie still had Gwen on his mind as his girlfriend who he would intend to marry whether by persuading her to do so or simply do it by force. Gwen was doing model shots by someone else on an office floor for a magazine since Eddie was working at the Bugle. But while modeling a crane gets out of control and Eddie is told by his boss J. Jonah Jamenson to go down their and get him photo shots. Eddie makes it to the scene only to discover after one shot that it's Gwen who's in peril.
Eddie: Oh my god. That's Gwen.
Captain Stacy: What? (Grabs Eddie's camera and notices it is Gwen) What's she doing up there?
Eddie: I don't know I just saw her last night, she said she had a modeling gig.
Captain Stacy: Who are you?
Eddie: It's Brock sir. Edward Brock Jr. and I work at The Daily Bugle. And I'm dating your daughter.
Captain Stacy: She's never mentioned you before.
Eddie: That's because we just met the other day and had a coffee date yesterday. Other than the Bugle, I take photos for her modeling gigs. But today I work at the Bugle so I couldn't do them today.
Captain Stacy: (upon hearing Gwen's scream) Please Spider-Man come quick!
Captain Stacy and Eddie: (upon witnessing Gwen's fall) Nooooo!
Spider-Man saves Gwen just before she falls to her death. Captain Stacy and Eddie are relieved that she was saved.
Spider-Man: You ok?
Gwen: Yeah I'm fine. Thank you.
Eddie: Hey Spidey hold on! I need your photo! Thank God you're ok.
Gwen: Daddy! I'm so sorry daddy!
Captain Stacy: Sweety, you ok?
Gwen: Yeah I'm good. Relieved now.
Captain Stacy: You never told me about your boyfriend over there.
Gwen: He's not my boyfriend. We only had one date yesterday. And I'm looking for someone else.
Eddie: (After Spider-Man takes off) So you don't have to worry about that anymore buddy!
Captain Stacy: Gwen tells me you're just a friend.
Eddie: Well….(sees Gwen take off in a cab) I gotta head back to the bugle now. See you later.
Captain Stacy: You too Eddie.
