Y'all are so suspicious of Kat it's hilarious, it's even more funny when I think about how Kat is an OC based off a friend of mine. She has appeared in most of my stories on here and always as something different. So far she's been a bartender, a forensic scientist, a murder victim, and now an eleven year old orphan. Haha. By the way, that's four different stories, in case you thought the scientist and victim were tied together. They're not. Haha thanks for the reviews and all the support!

"How?" asked Jack.

"The girl who delivered the message, she came back. She told me where Peggy is and how to find her once we get there." said Sousa in one breath; he was talking so fast Jack barely understood him.

"You're telling me that a child we don't know anything about-" said Jack.

"Her name's Kat Baker, she's eleven and an orphan. She's incredibly smart for her age. Her dad died in the war fighting for this country." said Sousa, interrupting Jack mid-sentence.

"That's what she told you? Did you confirm any of it before waking me up at three in the morning?" asked Jack.

"Jack, it's solid! Her story makes sense. If you would just listen to it!" said Sousa.

"No." said Jack, not convinced that there was anything to this girl.

"No?" asked Sousa incredulously, like he couldn't believe what he heard.

"No. look, it's clear to me that you haven't slept or eaten in days which makes you unreliable right now. For all I know that girl is being trained to be another assassin like Dottie. You weren't there but you have to realize, the girl we saw in Russia couldn't have been older than ten, and she was capable of killing us without a second thought. In all likelihood this girl was sent to lead you on, get you to fall in a trap. I already lost one agent to these lunatics I'm not losing another. Go home, get some sleep. I don't want to see you in the office before ten tomorrow." said Jack.

"Go to hell Jack, I thought you cared a little more about your agents then this. I'm going anyway, with or without your help." said Sousa.

"You're going right now. To fall into their trap." said Jack.

"I don't think it's a trap." said Sousa.

"Whether or not it's a trap, you do realize that there will be at least one Russian assassin in there and two mad scientists." said Jack.

"No shit Jack." said Sousa.

"Ugh, fine! I can't let you do this. I'll hear the girl out, but that's all I'm promising." Said Jack.

"Thank you." said Sousa.

"C'mon we'll take my car." said Jack.

They arrived at the SSR five minutes later. Sousa limped into the building as fast as he could, Jack following close behind.

"Kat! You gotta wake up." said Sousa, going over to his desk he carefully knelt down.

"She's gone." said Sousa.

Are you sure she was here at all? I mean they say that a part of sleep deprivation is hallucinations." said Jack.

"Yes I'm sure. She probably got scared, she was pretty shaken up." said Sousa.

"Or I was just using the bathroom." said a voice behind them. Sousa looked and smiled.

"You see Jack, told you she was really here. Kat this is Agent Thompson, he wants to hear your story." said Sousa.

"Alright then." said Kat, regarding Jack warily.

Telling her story for the second time took three times as long because Jack kept interrupting with questions, trying to confirm her story and make sure she wasn't changing anything about it. By the time Kat was done telling her story, Agents Wallis and Smith walked in. Sousa and Thompson got up and joined them, leaving Kat at Sousa's desk.

"What's going on here?" asked Wallis.

"This is the girl who delivered the message to me; she came forward and told me the exact location where they're keeping Peggy. Jack doesn't believe her, thinks it's a trap." said Sousa.

"Even if it is a trap I think we should go, just in case it's not." said Smith.

"You haven't heard this girl talk, she reminds me too much of that kid assassin we encountered in Russia. She's shown absolutely no emotion, and why else would she supposedly be allowed in their makeshift headquarters? Listening to her is a mistake." said Jack.

"So then what should we do?" asked Wallis.

"Look, in an hour Dottie's gonna be at Stark's to pick him up. I say we let that happen and see if they let Carter go. There's a new window in the interrogation room right?" asked Jack, Smith nodded.

"It looks like the girl fell asleep again, so take her there and lock the door behind you when you leave." said Jack to Smith who nodded and went to pick the girl up. She didn't stir at all as Smith carried her out of the room.

"They are not going to let Peggy go. I told you about the note I found, they're gonna kill her and leave her somewhere for us to find." said Sousa.

"We don't know that." said Jack.

"We also don't know that they're going to let her go." said Sousa angrily. Jack used the moment to whip out a pair of handcuffs and handcuff Daniel to the desk.

"What the hell Jack?" said Daniel.

"Sorry, but I can't risk you going off on your own, or stopping Stark from giving himself up. Wallis go make sure the interrogation room is locked, then I want you and Smith to do a canvas of the neighborhood, see if anyone knows who this girl is." said Jack, also taking Daniels crutch and moving it across the room.

"Yes sir, sorry Daniel." said Wallis.

"You son of a bitch." said Sousa to Jack as Jack left too, off to God knows where.

Peggy woke up gradually, there was blood caked down the side of her head and her brain was a little fuzzy. There was no one in the room or anywhere near, not that she could hear at least. Peggy worked at freeing her hands, it took slightly longer than normal as her right arm was broken, but Peggy managed to get free. She bent down, wincing slightly at the pain in her ribs and untied her ankles. Standing up slowly, she waited for the room to stop spinning. Peggy walked to the door and jiggled the handle, surprised to find it unlocked. There was a hanger to her right which Peggy took with her. After all, anything could be made into a weapon if you were smart enough to use it. Peggy listened at the door before opening it to make sure no one was there. She opened the door slowly and stepped out of the hall. There was a small stool next to her which had a pair of earplugs on it. Taking a leaf out of Sousa's book, she put them on. Unfortunately she couldn't hear anything and was therefore surprised when Ivchenkov came around the corner with Zola.

"Look who is up. Focus, my dear, you must be tired, why don't you sit down?" asked Ivchenkov.

"No thanks." said Peggy, although she didn't hear a word the doctor said. She figured that would be as good a response as any. Suddenly there was a rope around Peggy's neck and she was forced backwards. Dottie had crept up behind her and surprised her. Peggy grabbed at the rope with one hand while jamming the pointy part of the hanger behind her. Dottie dodged the hanger and kept her hold. Peggy moved the hanger to her throat and with one quick swipe, cut the frayed rope enough to break it. Meanwhile Zola had Joined Ivchenkov and both were moving to a room adjacent to the one Peggy had been in. Peggy spun around and punched Dottie in the face, this time hitting her mark, Dottie fell backwards a bit. Peggy advanced with the hanger and swung again at Dottie's face, again hitting her mark and causing a nasty cut across her face. Dottie kicked the hanger out of Peggy's hand and moved in on Peggy. Peggy was now on the defensive, blocking each of Dottie's blows while being backed against a wall. Deciding that she didn't like this new position, Peggy kicked Dottie away from her and ran, hoping the assassin would follow, and that Dottie wasn't carrying a gun. Peggy ran until she found herself at a dead end, facing a window which led out to a fire escape. Going through it, she waited for Dottie to follow her. Pressing herself against the wall Dottie came out a split second later. Confused, Dottie acted exactly as Peggy wanted her to. Dottie paused, and didn't see Peggy pressed the wall until it was too late. Peggy pushed Dottie off the nine story fire escape.

"Survive that bitch." said Peggy, taking out the earplugs and walking down the fire escape quickly, she wanted to make sure that Dottie really was dead this time. Peggy got down about ten minutes later and knelt at Dottie's head, checking for a pulse. When she found none Peggy breathed a sigh of relief, and walked back into the building. She wanted to take the doctor's into custody with her. Peggy took the elevator up to the top floor and cleared each one on by one. It took her half an hour, as the building was tall not wide. Finishing up the last floor Peggy cursed when she realized that the doctors and second assassin who was there when Dottie took Peggy from Stark's manor were gone. She was about a twenty minute walk from the SSR but didn't feel like walking so she pulled over the nearest cabbie.

"Are you alright ma'am?" asked the cabbie.

"Never mind that, can you take me to the telephone operation center? The faster you get me there the higher your pay will be." said Peggy, the cabbie nodded.

"Get in." he said.

They were at the SSR three minutes later. Peggy paid him with some money she kept hidden in her coat.

"Thank you." said Peggy before limping into the SSR.

Daniel was busy trying to get himself free when he thought he heard the familiar click of high heels but at a slower pace than normal. Daniel looked up and a smile spread across his face, replaced quickly with a frown when he noticed how badly she was hurt. Peggy was covered in blood. Without looking at anyone she said.
"Would someone be so kind as to get me the first aid kit?" Asked Peggy
"I would but I'm kinda chained to a desk." Said Sousa, Peggy looked up in astonishment.
"Why are you chained to a desk?" Asked Peggy
"Long story. Can you uncuff me? The key is on Jack's desk." Said Sousa.
"Yes, of course." Said Peggy, limping over to Jack's desk and grabbing the key before hurrying back. She unlocked Daniel and was about to move again to get his crutch when he pulled her into a hug.
"I'm so glad you're ok!" Said Sousa.
"You really missed me didn't you?" Asked Peggy jokingly.
"More than you know." Said Daniel. Daniel hesitated for less than a moment before leaning in and kissing Peggy. He did so lightly, waiting for her to push him back and slap him. What she did surprised him to no end. She kissed him back. Daniel smiled and pulled her close. He only stopped when he heard her gasp in pain. He broke away and said.
"Sit. I'll get you that first aid kit." Said Sousa. Lightly pushing her down into the chair.
"Your crutch." Argued Peggy.
"It's two desks over, I'll manage. Stay in the chair, please." Said Daniel. Peggy nodded and took her shoes off, wincing in pain as she did so. Daniel moved as fast as he could and grabbed his crutch. His pace doubled as he got to the first aid kit in the back of the room. He brought it back to Peggy and set it in the desk. Daniel then took his handkerchief out of his pocket and used Smith's water bottle and poured water on the cloth. He offered the handkerchief to Peggy who took it gratefully. She began to wipe at her face with her non injured arm.
"How bad is the break, does it need to be set?" Asked Daniel. Peggy shook her head.
"No I don't think so. I can make a sling." Said Peggy as she finished wiping the blood off her head.
"Let me do that. Let me do something I feel so helpless. Your head looks like it needs stitches." Said Daniel, examining the still bleeding wound.
"Maybe it does, do you know how to stitch up a head?" Asked Peggy.
"I've stitched up a few in my past." Said Daniel.
"Have at it then, my sewing's horrible." Said Peggy. Daniel chuckled lightly. He handed her the wrap to make herself a sling while he got to work on her head.
"You never said why you were chained to a desk." Said Peggy.
"Do you remember them taking a picture of you?" Asked Daniel, Peggy nodded and Daniel continued.
"Dottie found a homeless girl and had her deliver the message with the picture. It was delivered straight to me. That same girl came back the next day on her own accord and told me her story. She claimed she was taken to an abandoned factory and she heard someone screaming. She had taken a look at the photo before giving it to me and thought that the woman she heard screaming was you. She told me that the abandoned factory was the one in Greenwich Village and that you were somewhere on the ninth floor." Said Daniel.
"She was exactly right, but that doesn't explain why you were chained to a desk when I walked in." Said Peggy.
"I was getting there, so she told me this, at two in the morning, I was the only one here so I went and dragged Jack back here but he didn't believe the girls story. Wallis and Smith showed up and they were on Jack's side. Jack chained me to the desk to stop me from following the lead on my own." Said Daniel, he finished stitching her head up and sat in front of her.
"You were limping when you came in. Where are you hurt?" Asked Daniel.
"Just a turned ankle, Darling." Said Peggy.
"I'll get you some ice, and aspirin." Said Daniel.
"Well if the offers still on the table, I'd rather have that drink." Said Peggy. Daniel smiled.
"You got it. I'm still getting you that ice though, for your arm too." Said Daniel. He disappeared around the corner and reappeared a few minutes later bearing alcohol and ice.
"Thank you." Said Peggy. Daniel sat next to her and watched as she but one ice pack inside her sling and held the other one to her ankle.
"Do you want to put your feet up on the desk or something?" Asked Daniel.
"My ribs are a bit messed up; I don't think I could get my feet up that high and sit comfortably." Said Peggy.
"Feel free to hit me if you find this offensive, but you can put your feet up on my leg or something." Offered Daniel sheepishly.
"Thought you'd never offer." Said Peggy, grinning.
"Sorry I didn't say anything sooner. You know propriety and all." Said Sousa.

"Damn propriety, we're the only two in here anyway." Said Peggy.
"Spoke to soon, Carter. Good to see you back." Said Jack.

"Good to be back." Said Peggy.

"The girl was telling us the truth Jack, she had everything right down to the room Peggy was in." said Sousa.

"I'm sorry I didn't believe her." Said Jack.

"Speaking of this girl, where is she?" asked Peggy.

"Jack had her locked in the interrogation room." Said Sousa.

"You locked a child in an interrogation room?" asked Peggy.

"I was just about to get her out." Said Jack.

"Why on earth would you lock a child who was trying to help you in an interrogation room?" asked Peggy.

"I didn't trust her." Said Jack.

"You didn't trust an eleven year old girl who was in need of some money." Said Peggy. Wallis and Smith walked in before Jack could answer.

"Agent Carter! Glad you're back with us." Said Wallis.

"Did you escape or were you set free?" asked Smith.

"I escaped, why on earth would they set me free? Dottie's dead by the way you may want to send someone to collect her body." Said Peggy. The last bit was directed at Jack, who nodded.

"In exchange for Stark." Said Wallis.

"Stark is in Europe." Said Peggy.

"Uh, no he's not." Said Daniel sheepishly.

"What are you saying?" asked Peggy.

"Well when we couldn't find you, Jarvis panicked and then panicked again and called Stark who evidently turned around and came right back. Angie's safe by the way. She's in a safe house in case you were wondering." Explained Daniel.

"Thank you, but where is Stark if he's not in Europe? Is he also in some secluded safe house? I'm sure he loves." Said Peggy.

"Well actually, when he heard that they wanted to trade you for him, he uh, he insisted on giving himself up. And we kind of let him." Said Jack.

"I was against it from the beginning, but of course no one listens to the crip." Said Daniel.

"YOU LET STARK DO WHAT?" yelled Peggy, the men in the room flinched and instinctively backed away.

So this was getting kind of long, I've been working on it on and off all day. First it was on paper, then a laptop, then my ipod, and then back to a different laptop. But I finally got it done, I hope you enjoyed this chapter! Obviously they've found Peggy but this is not the end of the story cuz I wanna stretch it out a little bit. Especially now that Stark's missing. Oh and yes, Dottie really is dead.
