"That wasn't part of the plan." Sanosuke said.

"No it wasn't." Kenshin agreed. "But she is the Priestess. She makes the plan."

"She isn't even awake yet! And she's siding with the Fallen!" Sanosuke protested.

"You haven't seen her power." Yahiko said. "The Priestess will be the one to defeat him."

"How do we know she will not side with him?" Sanosuke asked, earning a slap from Kenshin.

"NEVER talk about her that way again! Kurai is nothing like that monster!" Kenshin shouted. "You'll see! She'll awaken soon and then you'll see! Until then, it is your turn! Stage on!"

Kurai into the school building, right into Yahiko.

"Oh. It's you." Taiki said. "You're my lab partner."

"Ugh are you three fighters obsessed with me or something?" Kurai said, then in a low voice. "Or perhaps you are another warrior like Sanosuke."

Yahiko gasped. "I-I don't..."

Kurai looked at Yahiko as they sat down in the lab. "Do you guys think I'm stupid? You're one of them, and so is Kenshin."

"What do you want then?" Yahiko asked.

"I want your help saving the Fallen." Kurai said. "Saving Reiko."

"She cannot be saved." Yahiko said. "She'll betray you! She'll kill you!"

"I don't care." Kurai said stubbornly. "I'm not leaving her behind."

"You can't—"

"As I told you. That's not good enough." Kurai finished the experiment and stormed out.

Reiko pushed past her, running to Yahiko. "The demons are coming! You have to save the school!"

"You only know that because you sent them!" Yahiko accused.

Two fish headed demons ran into the room. The class scattered.

Yaten rushed in. "So, this time it's Astarte."

Scales flew from the demon and struck Reiko, knocking her to the ground. They moved to fire again but Kurai got in the way.

"Fight them! Protect Reiko! You have to listen to me right! That's my order!" Kurai said.

Yahiko and Sanosuke got between Kurai and the demons.

Sanosuke punched one of the fish heads to dust and Yahiko sliced the other with his wooden sword.

Their attacks destroyed the demons.

Behind Reiko, a third demon appeared, wrapping its fins around her neck. The shadows surrounded her.

Kurai cried out. "No let her GO!"

A bright light banished the shadows and struck the demon. Injured, it grabbed Reiko and jerked her into the darkness, where they vanished.

"NO! Not again!" Kurai yelled. "Why do we keep LOSING!"

A pulse from her body, and uncontrolled light broke all the windows and the room began to shake. Her power continued to explode through the building as she sobbed, until finally a hand landed on her shoulder.

"Kurai. Breathe." Kenshin said. "Your power is too raw, you'll destroy the school. People will get hurt."

"K-Kenshin..." Kurai said, calming down. "This is the last time we lose. We are going on the offensive. Find Reiko. P-Protect her."

Kenshin smiled, impressed. "What is your plan?"

"We get Reiko and bring her to a safe house." New Moon said. "And then we are going to find the enemy and stop them."

"Alright Priestess." Kenshin said. "But first I should introduce myself properly."

"Oh please I know who you are. Kenshin Himura."
