CHAPTER 3-JAYKIT
"How'd we do, Sharkpaw?" I sneered, and Skykit stared fondly at a sniffling Thistlekit. "Pretty well," The dark gray tom mused. He waddled to the prey pile and tossed a a fat mouse. We dug in and he left, waving his tail in goodbye. Skykit and I purred. Now, on to bully Rainkit! He did help Thistlekit, after all.
"Jay," Skykit hissed. "What, Sky?" I huffed, bathing my paws in slimy green mousebile. "You see Rain get upset at Thistle for lookin' at the clouds?" He was busy emptying water into Rainkit's nest. "Nah, bro. Only medicats do that, and Rain wanted to be one. Maybe he hopes Thistle won't." I mumbled, trying not to breathe in the terrible stench of mousebile. "Maybe we secretly make Thistle work more around there and make 'em clash?" Sky suggested. I brightened, retrieving a few mouse scraps that Thistlekit had just buried. I set them down next to me and Sky grinned. I soaked the pre-wet moss bed in mousebile moss and left Thistlekit's mouse remains in it. Our plan was to make Rainkit think Thistlekit is bullying him with us. Their relationship will be destroyed. Then Thistlekit will work with Galepaw and Coldheart and Rainkit will get mad at him for spending time in the ways of a medicat. We report to Sharkpaw, split them apart and-
"What are we doin' this all for, bro?" Skykit muttered to me. We had spent the whole day planning and it was moon-high. Iceblaze's warm pelt curled around me and I snuggled deeper into it. "Well, cuz Sharkpaw-" "Will give us the fattest mouse. I get underpaid or overworking. I quit." "I can't do it on my own!" I panicked. "We both rebel then." I huffed. "Fine." "Finally, something that you can say you did that smart for once." I growled and thumped him on the head. "Be quiet you two," Rainkit growled. We glanced at him, than at each other, and settled down. Not before I thumped Skykit for the last time on the head, though.
