"Final call for participants to register in this year's Kalos League!" a woman said, her voice blaring on the PA system around the entire city.

"Nene," Dedenene said, urging me faster towards the registration.

I clapped my hands over my ears as I ran under one of the speakers.

"How do you think Clemont would respond to being told one of his inventions worked a little too well," I sarcastically muttered to the Antenna Pokemon on my shoulder.

My legs were going as fast as they could, of course, registration had to be on the other side of the city, I thought. I opened my mouth to complain once again and was met with angry squeaks from Dedenene. I had run almost three-quarters of Lumiose City, in smaller cities like Santalune, this would be a simple task, but here, where taking a day trip to the other side of the city was a normal occurrence, that was impressive.

"Nenene!" Dedenene cheered when we got there.

"Easy for you to say, I was the one running with your constant squeaking in my ear," I shot back.

"Dene."

I sighed and walked towards the registration booth.

"Good afternoon, would you like to register for the Kalos League?"

"Yeah."

"Name, please."

"Bonnie Lumion," I said, grabbing my Pokedex and Trainers License.

The woman inspected the license and had me sign my name on the registration form.

"There," I sighed after walking away, "Got that set, why don't we go head home to Dawn and Clemont."

"Bonnie?"

I froze, "Trent," I muttered under my breath.

Trent walked towards me, I tried walking off before he grabbed my wrist.

"C'mon, I thought you'd be happy to see me."
I yanked my wrist back, "Leave me alone," I shouted.

He took another step towards me.

"Hey, didn't you hear her, leave her alone," someone jumped in front of me and shoved Trent back.

Blue hair that went to his shoulders, a green vest with a white t-shirt underneath, blue jeans, and a black backpack. It can't be.

"Maple?" Trent spat.

"Yeah, Trent, it's me, and you better listen and scram."
Trent held his hands up in surrender, "Fine, Max, I'll leave you and your girlfriend, hopefully, you'll prove to your Dad that you aren't as worthless as the finalist in the Sinnoh League, oh wait, that was you."

Trent smirked and walked away. Max had clenched his fist at his side and released it.

"Max?" I said, still in disbelief that he was here.

Max turned around to face me, "Hey Bonnie, long time, no see," he smiled at me with his toothy grin, kinda like Ash.

"Yeah, where have you been," I said, holding my hand up for a high-five.

Max returned the high-five, "Around, I guess, after Unova, I headed towards Alola, got to the top four there, then I went to Kanto with May and got in the top four again, and then, as Trent said, I went Sinnoh and just barely lost, had Sceptile been able to stand for two seconds longer, we would've won the whole thing, what about you, I heard you've been doing well in the contests here."

I nodded, "Yeah,"

"I'm surprised you're in the league, I thought you'd never compete again after losing in Unova."
"I surprised myself too, I wasn't going to originally but if you're urged by the Champion himself, it can't hurt to try."

A flash on my left caught Max and I's attention. Max figured out it was camera flashes before I did.

"Twenty bucks, that's Ash and Serena," he said.

"I don't doubt it," I said, watching the mass migration of reporters towards the growing crowd.

"When was the last time they actually watched a Kalos League?" Max asked, looking at me for an answer.

"Three years ago, when they announced their official wedding date," I said, Ash and Serena were known for never being in Kalos, though they were normally here for about half of the year for the Master Class.

Max nodded, "You have a much better memory then I do," he said.

"Yeah," I said, then an idea popped into my head, "Clemont has this huge dinner planned for my return and you could join us if you want."

Max looked at me in shock, "You mean it?"

"Sure, the more the merrier," I said.

We walked towards my home, I noticed something silver glinting in the light on his vest collar, I guess he noticed me staring because he told me what it was.

"When I changed my look, I guess, I wanted to give some connection to my dad and the gym, so I pinned my balance badge on my collar. I got the idea from you."

Oh yeah, I thought, glancing at one of my bag's straps, Squishy and Dedenene's pocket has the Lumiose City badge as a clasp.

We walked in silence for a bit before I broke it, "So, will May be here?"

"I don't know, I doubt she will be," Max said, I thought I could hear some sadness in his voice.

"Pharos!"

An Ampharos appeared in our path.

"Dedenene!" Dedenene cheered, jumping off my shoulder and running towards Ampharos.

"Bonnie, there you are."
"Clemont!"

I sprinted towards my older brother who pulled me into a hug. Over a few years, I managed to close the height gap between us, though he was a few inches taller than me. And instead of his embarrassing jumpsuit he used to wear, he was wearing a white collared shirt and with sleeves that were rolled up to his elbows and dark blue jeans, not much about his face or hair had changed, same glasses, same hairstyle.

After Clemont released me he turned his attention to Max.

"Max! I'm glad you got past Korrina and Wulfric in time."
"Thankfully, Korrina was a real challenge, normally I'd use Sceptile but I ended up using Gallade because of Lucario's speed."

"Hm, are you at the same level with Gallade that you are with Sceptile?"

I looked at both of them in confusion, they lost me a while ago.

"Kind of, I've still got a long way to go."

Clemont nodded, I stopped paying attention, Clemont was a gym leader and Max was most likely going to be one after his dad retires.

Clemont started leading us towards home and kept up a conversation with Max.

"I'm back," Clemont called when we got home.

"Pip pip?"

"Nene!" Dedenene cheered when he saw Piplup.

I kneeled to scratch Piplup under his chin.

"Munch!" A Munchlax cheered, waddling towards Max.

"Surprise Max!" May said, stepping out from the Shadows with Drew in tow.

"May! What are you doing here?" Max said.

"I can't come to support my brother in one of the biggest leagues in the world," May said.

Piplup darted towards the kitchen and came back out in Dawn's arms.

Clemont narrowed his eyes, "Did you know about this?"

Dawn giggled, "Of course, I had no idea if you would run into Max or not, I love you but you're horrible at keeping secrets, and I have one more thing," she said, motioning to something off to the side.

A Pikachu and Sylveon appeared out from behind a corner and confused us all before we saw their trainers.

"Surprise."

My jaw dropped, I had barely talked to Ash and Serena in three years, much less seen them. Their outfits, as normal, matched. Ash was wearing a red t-shirt with white sleeves, blue jeans, and black fingerless gloves with yellow trim, and he was wearing a cape similar to what you would find at the Battle Chateau. Serena was wearing a matching shirt, pair of jeans, and gloves, but her jacket, which was white with gold trimmings, was draped across her shoulders instead of wearing it normally. Her hair had grown back and was in a simple ponytail that was accented by a blue ribbon, and Ash had wrapped his arm around her.

I sprinted over to Serena and was enveloped in a hug, but I couldn't help but notice that Ash kept his hand on her shoulder.

"It's been three years," I said after she released me from our hug.

She sighed, "Yes, I know, but work and Kalos Queen and don't even get me started on his commitments," she gestured to Ash who rolled his eyes, "It's a lot to do, and I haven't had as much free time as I'd like, I mean, Mom is practically begging us to visit her in Vaniville."

After Dawn and May came over to talk to Serena, Ash separated from her and started talking with Max about the league.

"So Serena, are you retiring from Kalos Queen?"

"Wait, Serena, you're retiring?" I said.

"Yes, it's not a rumor, I am retiring," Serena said, "This year's Master Class will be a face-off between the two most popular finalists."

"So why are you retiring?" I was desperate for answers, Serena was like an older sister to me and journalists found this out first, I couldn't believe it.

Serena made eye contact with Ash across the room and everyone fell silent.

"Should we tell them?" Serena said, with a joking tone, "Or make them wait until tomorrow?"

"I say now, what harm could it do."

"Spill the beans, Serena," Dawn called.

"Alright, alright, we will," Ash said, walking to his wife's side.

The entire room was focused on Ash and Serena, "Tell you later tonight," Ash said, everyone in the room groaned.

"Alright, dinner's ready," Clemont called from the kitchen.

Everyone sat down and devoured dinner, it was Clemont's so of course, it was good.

After dinner, Max, Ash, Clemont, and Drew went outside, Max probably wanted some training help and who better to help you than Kalos's Champion himself.

Serena went upstairs and I stayed and talked contests with May and Dawn, both were once Top Coordinators so they were great to ask for advice, but I preferred talking to Dawn, I mean, she is my sister in law and I like to think I was the one that brought her and Clemont together. We eventually went upstairs and found Serena wrapped in a blanket reading.

"You aren't staying with Ash? You two looked pretty inseparable all day," Dawn said.

"No, knowing him he'll be training for hours and I've been a pretty light sleeper recently so he doesn't want to wake me."

I couldn't argue with that logic, Sylveon was curled up at her side and gently snoring, which was adorable.

May and Dawn sat down across from Serena and I sat next to her.

"So," Dawn said, obviously looking for an answer to a question, "do you need Ash with you to tell us this big news?"

Serena shook her head, "No, he's telling the guys outside."

"So what is it?" May asked.

Serena smiled, "Well, Ash and I are expecting," she said, rubbing her belly a little.

May and Dawn squealed in delight and I looked at her with a mix of shock and happiness.

"When did you find out?" I asked, still in shock.

"Last week while we were visiting Ash's mom in Kanto, we immediately called my mom which is why she's begging us to visit her."

"I think I had something to do with this," I said, crossing my arms, I really did.

Serena giggled, "I don't believe it, little miss matchmaker is dense."

"What?" I asked.

"Don't worry about it, I'm going to head to bed, good luck in the league."

Serena left and May and Dawn both passed out but I couldn't help staying awake and thinking about what Serena had said.

Little miss matchmaker is dense, what does that even mean.

A/N: So that was Chapter One from Bonnie's perspective, and they will all be from Bonnie's perspective. I'll probably gloss over most of the battles in the league, and this does not mean I'm stopping work on An Amourshipping Reunion, in fact, I'm currently working on Chapter 12, so you have nothing to worry about. Hopefully, I'll have Chapter 2 up by tomorrow. Feel free to leave your opinions and comments in the reviews, I love reading your thoughts. See you tomorrow :D.
