A/N: This is a really, really, really short chapter, I thought it was longer, but it wasn't.
"Go, Absol!"
"Florges, let's do this."
Astrid's Absol stood proudly, but Florges had an attitude that wouldn't let her back down.
I scanned the arena quickly and saw quite a few people freaking out about Florges, white Flabebe's were some of the rarest Pokemon in the world, and naturally, that made Florges a spectacle in the arena and on-stage in either contests or showcases.
"Dark Pulse," Astrid said, her confidence was obvious.
"Florges, use Moonblast,"
Absol sent a black and purple beam, which collided with Florges's Moonblast causing an explosion.
"Flo," Florges called.
"Yeah, we need some improv practice before the Grand Festival anyway, use Magical Leaf."
Astrid had been stunned by the blast, not expecting Florges to be so powerful, I think, and her command was delayed. From what I could see, Absol took a fair amount of damage.
"Megahorn," Astrid snapped, she even snapped her fingers, I guess she thought this was going to be easy.
Absol's horn grew in size and he slashed at Florges, sending her almost all the way back to me.
"You okay Florges?"
"Florges."
"Okay, Use Petal Dance," I shouted.
Florges created pink, glowing petals and forced them at Absol, who, after taking the full attack, used one of his paws to rub his eyes. Absol didn't seem to take any damage, causing Astrid to smirk.
"Use Shadow Claw."
Absol delayed attacking, from what I saw, Absol eyes had glossed over and he started thrashing and attacking himself, Astrid looked at her partner in shock.
It worked.
"Florges, end this with Moonblast."
Florges formed a pink sphere of energy and sent it towards Absol.
Absol fell to the ground with spirals in his eyes.
"We won," I shouted.
"Flo Florges!" Florges cried.
Now I just had to win until I got all the way to the finals.
