After the shopping trip
River and Bella both are season the chicken so that it can roast in the oven. They added veggies to it along with some red potatoes. Bella lets the rolls sit out. The chicken is done, when the rolls are in the oven. Bella helps her mom to set the table up. There was butter and honey out on the table, Bella has the iced tea out too. When the rolls are being pulled out, the door opened up and he hung up his coat and gun belt. Bella walks over to give her dad a hug; he kisses her hair. He walked over to his lovely wife, he wrapped his arms tightly around her waist. She turns her head for a kiss, he pulled back so they can have dinner together as a family. Mal sits in between his daughter and River. He had hoped some day after having their daughter that they could have another child. But they tried after their daughter was eight years old. But there was no luck, they had gone to doctor's over the years. It wasn't that they couldn't have another child, they can still have children. But River and him had accepted that Isabella would be their own child. He was very happy with his life with his wife and daughter. All of them were sitting together. Mal looks at his daughter, "how was your first day at school?" Bella thought it over, "it's no different then the big city. But I guess, no one will ever like you one way or another." Mal had a sincere look in his eyes. "I'm sorry, sweetie." River don't want tell her husband about the almost accident that happened today. "Mal, there sometimes that I need to tell you." Mal saw the seriousness in his River eyes. "What is it sweetheart?" River had her hand on his hand, "while I was picking up our daughter from school. Someone pulled out in front of us near crash our car." Mal had a tight grip on her hand. "Who was it?"
River looked to Bella; "it was Edward Cullen; sister Rosalie." Bella answered him. Mal wasn't too happy with the circumstances. "I'll talk to her father in the morning. He better have a really good realization why I shouldn't take away her driver license." River and Bella know that when he was angry it was best not to anger him. Mal don't look too happy, that he could have lost his wife and daughter. He got up from the table; Bella had wonder if it was best not to say anything at all. She had tears in her eyes; thinking she was in the wrong for saying something. River hug her tightly around the waist, both of them are holding on to each other. "Honey, your father isn't angry with you. He just worries about the both of us. Worried that he's going to lose the both of us. Don't take it to hard, sweetie. Your dad loves us more then life itself." Bella is hugging her mom very tight. Both of them pulled back from each other. Bella and River both heard the door opening up. Mal had returned after cooling off; from his anger. He saw both of his wife and daughter sad faces. Mal races over to his family; he hugged both River and Bella. Bella and River hugged him back, "I'm sorry you two, dad was just upset that's all. I don't mean to upset you two." Mal kisses both of their heads. River kissed his cheek; "your, alright my love. Worried that we may have gotten killed or serious injured. But me and Bella are safe."
The next day after school
Bella had finished school for the day, she and Edward had talked to each other. Bella saw that her mom was waiting by her car. Bella was trying to be careful of the ice. She made it to the front of her mom car. Her mom was trying to cover up the tires with chains. River and Bella couldn't figure it out. Then Bella and her mom hear; "need some help?" Both of them are looking over their shoulders at Edward. River said; "yeah, sure. That would be really good." Edward helped them out with the chains on the tires. Edward got up was walking away, when Tyler van was heading right for them; the brakes were scratching real bad. River grab her daughter to cover her up and then Bella saw Edward as a shield against her and her mom. Then the van some how stopped; Bella saw a hand print against the dent in the van door. Bella saw Edward looking at her; River was looking at the other body protection them. Was surprised to see that Edward was covering her and her daughter. What's surprised her; was that Edward hand was against the van. Edward got up; he got out of the way. Soon, everyone was checking on mother and daughter. River and Bella were looking at each other. Both of them are still in shock, some of the students and teachers are asking mother and daughter if they were alright and an ambulance pulled in.
At the Forks Hospital
Bella and River are being examined on, both of them keep telling the doctors and nurses that they were fine. Both of them hear; Tyler trying to apologize to both of them over and over again and again. River finally said; "how many times, does me and my daughter have tell you that were both fine. Could you just stop bugging me and my daughter." That's when the doors flew open; her husband was out of breath at this point. He run over to Bella first, he was looking her over checking for injuries. Then he was looking over his wife. He was looking her over too. He kissed her very hard on the lips. He pulled back, he looked over to the other driver. "You, are in so much trouble."
