Hi! So here's the next chapter and yes, there is some sort of a plot that's going on though it may not seem like it yet. All reviews are welcome as well as any suggestions for what I should do next. Without further ado... Enjoy!

Soulmate

.

Her soulmate. She needed booze, right now.

She dug around her purse for her keys and locked the door on her way out.

Chaol had been no hope whatsoever, being just as star stricken as her. He'd kept giving her non answers or vague shit that she hadn't had time to listen to. Aelin had stormed out after about ten minutes if his blabbering.

She wasn't wearing her usual club attire, dawned in a pair of baby pink sweatpants and a white bralette. She looked... horrific to say the least. Crazed eyes and hair snarled from the trembling her hands running through it.

Aelin now rushed down the street toward her favorite club.

The music could be heard from a block away, loud and blaring. Crowds of college age students swarmed the place. It was relatively cheap, at least for LA, and it was close to the campus. Strobe lights danced on the concrete exterior.

She let the building absorb her, giving herself over to the overload of senses. The bouncer almost didn't recognize her, but one icy look was all it took.

Aelin took a seat at the counter, not even waving a hand before the drink was infront of her. She sipped at it and smiled at the bitterness. When she finally downed it, she turned toward the dance floor, surrounded by tables.

Standing up, she headed into the thrum of dancers, sneakers thumping to the steady beat of the music.

Rowan groaned as his friends (meaning only Fenrys) dragged him to the most popular bar in LA (which changed nightly). He claimed that it was a new experience for Rowan. Well, he'd had plenty of experiences though none of them happened to involve a bar... or much social interaction.

"C'mon Lorcan, you're coming, too," he said in a chipper tone.

Lorcan rolled his eyes. "I don't need to go to a club to make myself feel 'fulfilled' with my life," he said.

Rowan agreed, but he had promised the little bugger to do anything he wanted in payment for saving his butt on the talk show. The talkshow. It had been... disastrous or as Maeve put it, "enlightening". He supposed he could do with a few drinks.

Rowan couldn't face the fact that he was soulmates with one of his fans. One of the fans that enjoyed watching their shitty show.

"Would it be so bad to go out for one night?" Fenrys insisted. The man raised his eyebrows and gave a pouty smile.

Lorcan sneered. "You know what they call us, right? They call us 'Uptown Fucks' behind out backs."

He did have a point, most college students hated their guts, especially the fact that they were... well off. And while some of his fans were college age, a lot of them were thirty-ish men and woman.

"They have the best drinks..." he said enticingly.

Lorcan snapped his teeth. "Fine, if it'll get you to stop bugging me, but you owe me a favor."

Fenrys waved a lazy hand. "Alright."

The car pulled up to the bar and Rowan had to blink several times to get used to the flashing lights out front.

The building was large and boxy. It was made of almost pure concrete. Steps led down into the main bar underground.

He followed Fenrys, Lorcan hot on his heels.

The room was stifling with a ring of dancers in the center. Tables were filled with chatting students and couples. A bar sat off to the side. Rowan nearly covered his ears from the blasting noise.

"I'm going to get a drink," he shouted over the music.

Fenrys ignored him and strolled over to a pretty man who was eyeing him from a nearby table. He shook his head, catching Lorcan's eye.

They strode over to the bar and Rowan got the sneaking suspicion that he was overdressed for this setting. His slacks were impeccable and his cashmere sweater was too hot for this bar.

He called the barman over and asked for double shots. Rowan flicked his hair over his shoulder and turned to the crowd.

His eyes focused in on a girl. She had long blonde hair that flickered in the light and she swayed to the music. Her clothing was... odd especially considering where they were, but he could talk. He was wearing fucking golfer clothes like a fucking loser.

She turned toward him and he breathed in. Her face was beautiful, but there was something deeply sorrowful about it. Her eyes flicked open then, meeting his as if she had known where they were all along.

Rowan banged into the table and heard Lorcan cussing beside him. Her eyes. Gods her eyes.

They were bright blue, almost turquoise, with a bright ring of gold around them. His wrist spiked with pain and he dropped the shot glass he was holding. His hands shook and her mouth parted. Emotions flicked across her face, wonder, exasperation, sadness...

She took a step, as if in a daze and he tried to scoot away. "You," she whispered in shock.

He threw out a hand. "Stay back," he hissed, surprised at the amount of anger in his voice.

She flinched, but he didn't care. All he could think about was Lyria. Lyria didn't deserve this.

Fenrys intercepted them, stepping between them and like that, the spell was broken. The pain in Rowan's wrist faded as he looked at the floor. In his periphery, he saw her hug herself.

"And who," Fenrys said, with a faint smile and a twinkle in his eye. "Might you be?" He gave her an appreciative onceover.

The girl shook herself and faced him. "I'm Aelin." She gave him a winning smile. "And I think your buddy over there," she jerked a thumb at Lorcan, "Is pissy that you dropped your glass on his shoe." That quickly, she had changed to sass and talk.

Fenrys gave an obliging laugh while Rowan stayed silent, unmoving, unfeeling.

Lyria.

The girl batted her eyelashes. "Who might you be?" she asked Fenrys.

He looked over at Rowan. "I'm your soulmate's friend." He gave a sly smile.

Rowan jerked and shouted, "She is not my-" the same time Aelin muttered, "He is no such thing."

Rowan shook his head and Fenrys looked between the two of them. Rowan made a point of not looking her in the eyes. "I think we're done here."

Fenrys gave the girl a sorry look. "It was wonderful meeting you," he said and exited with a shaken Rowan and a pissed Lorcan. Yeah, they definitely shouldn't have come.

Sorry, I know this was kinda sucky, but it continues the story I guess. Also sorry for any typos. Be kind to one another, love ;)
