BOOM! Guess what? I'm back now for this story! Modules were literally difficult for me to answer, but still, my time of studying is still important before proceeding it.

Without further ado, let's go!

CHAPTER 2:

A New Thrive To Be

"It's closing time!" Lisa chirped.

"Finally!" exclaimed John, "Now we can have a day off tomorrow!"

"Especially," Asteria rambles, giving them some wages, "Here. Forty dollars for you both to split."

"Thanks!" John thanked her.

"Oh my god!" Lisa screeched.

"What is it, Lisa?" Asteria asked.

"You-You're plant!"

The three glanced at the plant on the counter; it is now wilted so fast! Even its leaves fall down too.

"Oh boy," Asteria walks closer to the plant, "Umm, John, Lisa, you might as well... go home now. I'm the one will take care of it."

"Wouldn't you display it in front of the shop?" John asked.

"No, but I'll just... bring it into my home... and taking care. Nothing's been worry about..."

"Oh, okay!" Lisa grabbed her sling bag just as John opens the door as Lisa went out. "Good night, Asteria!" They said before they went away.

Asteria smiles at them, but sighs in unison while staring at the wilted plant. She grabbed her bag and she carefully picking the plant up into her small basket with few gardening magazines she'd placing at. Switching off the lights, she carried the basket and heads out the flower shop, grabbing the keys and locked the door of the shop. The neon lights of the word "ASTERIA'S FLOWER SHOP" glowed upon the streetlights of the bustling vehicles roaming around.

Asteria heads off the bus station to wait the bus. Few minutes later, the bus was stopped in as she and the other citizens went inside through it.

Asteria grew up here in this beautiful place. In San Francisco, California. Since she was very young, her 2 older brother and sister, including her father, got a heated argument with her mother as they divorced without saying goodbye, left with her and her mother broke their hearts sorrowfully. Later, she proceed her schooling and would often visiting her mother at home since she was boarding a dorm room of the college. Her mother died when she was 21 when she finally opened her new business: a flower shop.

On the way to her home, she was passed by her best friend. Layla. Her truly best friend; she was there with her boyfriend, who instantly yanked her hair violently and gave her a hard slap of her face. Asteria shook off the events and sighed frustratingly about the man's unmannerism act.

The bus finally stopped at the little road as she step out through it. Few vehicles went on rummaging the streets as she walked alone. Her home was near the beach and she had also a Zen Garden too. Stepping inside of the house, she put her stuff on the floor and find the main switch to turn on the lights.

Once it was done, she hurriedly grabbed the new but wilted plant towards her other room. She stopped on an empty space of the wall and drew her hand on the wall, magically turned into a door as she went inside of. Inside of this room, were filled with various magical and technological powers even her things and stuffs too. It seems that everything is futuristic and clearly nice.

Asteria then changed her outfit into a futuristic knee-level skirt with star pixels. Putting the plant on the desk, she grabbed a book that contains a lot of plant information species she discovered or researching through internet.

"So about that," Asteria mumbled, "Your pod looks like strange, but really, you were like a Venus flytrap..."

Asteria blinked her eyes twice, a holographic trapezoid encircling through the plant. Any minutes later, she sighed in relief.

"Well, honestly you don't have a plant name; and I can't find exactly any the same species as you."

The plant slowly lift its pod in confusion, but then droops down.

"Okay, little plant, I-I'm gonna try some of my best gardening tips to revive you."

Asteria get to work while the little plant, was still drooping. She tried every source to grow the plant, but still, it won't work. It took 30 minutes to figure it out to grow, but simply nothing.

"Damn, it's getting late night," she told the plant, while cleaning some stuff on the table, "My powers won't work on you, but maybe tomorrow mor- ARGH!!!"

Asteria had been pricked herself on a sharp pruning knife she forgot to placed back on her gardening tools of the table. A little blood oozing out on her index finger.

"Bad girl! Bad!" Asteria muttered. "Shoot, I forgot to placed it back. Hey, look what happened to me."

As she glared at the plant, it slowly mimicked a kissing noise. The girl was confused at what the plant mimicking something. When she pointed her wounded finger of the plant closer, it began to lick her wound. Asteria realized that the plant needs human blood to thrive quickly.

"You drink blood?" Asteria asked in confusion.

The plant nodded, then gesturing the pruning knife.

"You-You want me t-to prick my finger?!" she retorted, but the plant shook its pod in disagreement.

She never knew why, and Asteria gave the pruning knife to the plant. It then opened its mouth, revealing tiny sharp-like teeth and leafy tongue. Grabbing the knife, it began to etched something on the table. Asteria then leaned into the table, a word saying:

"MY NAME IS AUDREY II"

"Wait, you're name is Audrey II?" she asked in disbelief, "You're name's like a girl. But you plants are hermaphrodites."

The plant, Audrey II, just shrugs off, before mimicking again a kissing noise.

"Alright, I'll feed you when you needed it." Asteria carefully squeezes her wounded finger to drop some more blood, "I hope there's nothing sinister about you..."

After feeding enough blood, she gently grabbed the flowerpot and went inside of her bedroom. There, she put it on her nightstand table beside her bed.

"Just stay here okay? I'm gonna get a hot shower." The girl grabbed the towel on her chair and closed the door.

Audrey II's base began to grew two small leaves as it smiles in satisfication.

"You did very good well, sweetheart."

A/N:

Haha! Yet, another chapter done! Audrey II will be getting more love for Asteria, she's unaware of that. Also, she was born with both magical and technological powers. I'm gonna post the 3rd Chapter of my spare time! I hope y'all have a good time!
