"I can feel your heart beating under my skin, And the beating of your heart is making me bleed from within. And if we cut open your heart, pour it in a cup, Do you think it'd be enough, do you think it'd be enough?
To fill... my heart with music?
Oh no, not a chance in hell! Yeah I've heard you sing but it ain't too well, Heart melts, yeah you meant so well, But your song's no good round here."
((I hope you're seeing a pattern in these songs, also, for reference, The Assassin wasn't really a song in ideal, i mean, there prolly is a song, but I've only started quoting songs since chapter 2 so yeah.))

The two pink diamond replacements were stuck in a secluded prison cell, they had no idea if they were even on homeworld. Steven was just in the corner, constantly sad. Spinel was always in the other corner, face against the wall. Steven had been able to heal her from the painful death she would have had if it weren't for him. But she was still the same. Aggressive, snappy... broken...
Spinel was talking to herself again, speaking random words quietly. Steven was not only scared FOR HER, he was cared OF HER now. He kept his distance often, afraid she'd snap at him. They stayed like this for days.
--
The gems were frantic. Connie was blaming herself. "If only I hadn't left him!" She was sobbing. "Where do you think they could be?" Pearl asked the diamonds directly. "Well, probably not on homeworld or earth. I'd assume they have spies around here to deliver messages to the head master of their foolish plan." White responded.
"So we just yell out 'we surrender' to the whole palace? That's dumb." Amethyst scoffed.
"It's all we can do, amethyst. If only spinel would have let us in there more.." garnet sighed.
Greg was silent. All he could do was comfort Connie and cry.
--
They eventually found their way to the place of hiding, brought as prisoners. The rebel gems looked deranged. Like, they were broken, torn out from the outside in.
It was scary to Amethyst. She had never seen such broken gems before. Garnet and a Pearl however, only got horrid flashbacks from the war. Still, it hurt them just as bad as anyone else.
--
Spinel and Steven were still stuck in their cell, lonely and ruffled. Neither have spoken much. The one time they perked up was at this moment.
"Good news for you saints, your gems have come to surrender theirselves." A shadowy figure explained.
"wait, surrendered? There was no war?" Steven questioned.
"Quiet, or there will be nothing to give those gems in return." It hissed.
He winced, ushering back towards Spinel in fear. She instantly lashed out, snarling, and fluffing up her fur in anger. She didn't want to be near ANYONE. She spent the rest of the day slashing at the stone walls. She didn't feel it would do anything but sharpen her claws, which is exactly what she wanted.
The door instantly opened, and the shadowy figure unlocked the cell. Steven instantly bounced up and looked over towards spinel, who hadn't moved. She snarled, following behind him, keeping distance.
They trailed off towards a group of figures lining the colorful walls. "STEVEN!" The figures yelled, running up to the peach bicolor tom with black along his back. He was joyful to see his family. Spinel sighed, they could have sworn she cracked a smile. She flopped down on the stone, exhausted. Her fur lay flat, gazing over at the patterns on the wall. Anything to look at but them, it made her jealous. Sad. Lonely..
She rolled onto her back to then pay attention to the ceiling's patterns. She let out a snort in disappointment to find they were the same. She roll back over to her side, now facing the direction she came from. That's better. A comfortable position and not a pain for what she sees before her.
She lay her head down, not caring if she was taking a nice ol' snooze in the enemy's base. She suddenly felt a prod at her side. "Spine--"
She jumped up and let out a paw, claws unsheathed, with a loud hiss in defense.
"Hey! Hey! It's just me!" Steven meowed in a concerned tone.
She felt her fur lie flatter, still ruffled up. "We are going to go back now... I don't know what will happen after this.."
Spinel narrowed her eyes, and walked past him. She walked past the fearful gems, giving them all glares and hissing a warning. She then took the lead, turning into a sprint, then a fearful desire to escape this hellhole.
--
When they arrived to the warp pad, they warped back to homeworld eagerly. Spinel raced forward, everyone though she was just happy to see the diamonds, but truth be told, that was a solid no, as shown.
She entered the palace. The diamonds sprung up. "Spinel! Are you alright dear?" Blue diamond spoke up first.
Spinel looked at them all swiftly and hissed loudly, sending warning swipes their way. They backed off, obviously, but were in tears later, spinel didn't care and went back to her balcony.
