Chapter Twenty-Seven

Christian had spent the last half hour tying Ana up to the chain spiderweb in the red room. Ana was completely trussed up. Side on, her knees were under her belly, her wrist bound together and facing forward. On her left side the spider web on the right nothing but the empty room. She faced the wall her ass facing the other. This was intense. Christian had made sure that every knot was perfect and that Ana was secure before he'd taken a step back to admire his handywork. Her nipples were clamped and with little weights added to the end of them so they were being dragged towards the floor, in her ass an anal hook, tied to her hair keeping her head up, it put strain on her neck but not too much that she couldn't take it.

The ropes were secured under her breasts, pushing them together making them red and swollen while at the other end her thighs had been locked together with rope, squeezing her ass tight, the back of her knees had been tied to her back and abdomen, her ankles were tied together and fixed to the spiderweb lower down, giving Christian the access he needed.

She was also wearing a bit gag, saliva was already dripping from her mouth onto the floor beneath her. He couldn't wait anymore, he just had to have his way with her. He switched on some music, a clip of strings he'd found searching online for the perfect scene music. When Ana heard it she groaned, just the sound built the intensity up inside her.

Christian picked up the large heavy flogger. He was going to awaken every inch of Ana's skin. As soon as the music began to pick up Christian got to work, his hand elegantly waving through the air as he brought the flogger down onto Ana's bare skin. She moaned and groaned but Christian couldn't hear her, not with the music enveloping them, filling the room with intense strings from a deep bass cello to a high-pitched violin. Ana fought against her restraints, it was too much sensation all at once. When the music stopped, it automatically started again and Christian dropped the flogger to the floor before picking up the wand. He had put an insertable attachment on it and Ana groaned as it filled her, pushing against the anal hook, she could feel everything and it made her deliciously full.

He pumped the wand a few times, waiting for the right moment in the music before flicking the switch. Ana just vibrated with it, she couldn't fight against it, she couldn't fight against her restraints, too trussed up to be able to move at all. She groaned through the gag, biting down hard on it as her body was overcome with sensation. Christian watched as she began to orgasm, liquid dripped out of her onto the floor but he kept up the pressure with the wand. He reached down, the music climaxing once again he tugged at the nipple clamps pulling them off one at a time, triggering a second orgasm. He clicked the wand off and dropped it to the floor while Ana panted hard. Christian hoped she hadn't gone into subspace as he wasn't done with her yet.

"Squeeze my finger." He told her, slipping his finger into her hand, she squeezed tight, no she wasn't in subspace just yet.

Christian undid the gag and the anal hook in her hair and climbed a little up on the spiderweb till his cock was in perfect line with her mouth.

"You know what to do." He growled. Ana opened her mouth and quickly took Christian into the hot orifice. He groaned, holding his weight up on the spiderweb was hard when he was being pleased so much but Ana was like a wild animal, sucking him right back till she gagged before coming back for air, licking along his shaft as she did. He loved how she did this to him, she clearly cherished every inch of his length and enjoyed giving him this pleasure. When he came he held her head down on him and she sucked everything he released to the back of her throat, swallowing it all gratefully as though he'd given her water when she was dehydrated.

"You're incredible." He told her jumping down from the spiderweb and immediately going to undo her restraints, slipping the anal hook out in the process. He had to take them off from the ankle first, supporting her every step of the way till she was standing. Once she was completely free from all the rope he took her in his arms and carried her through to the bathroom, she was smiling happily, sated for now.

"How was that?" He asked as she sat on the edge of the toilet seat while he ran the water into the bath.

"Amazing." Ana replied softly, she was blissfully happy right now and nothing would have changed that.

"Good." Christian smiled. "Now get in the bath, I'm going to get your clothes because if you don't get a move on or you're going to be late."

"And whose fault would that be?" She giggled but Christian's eyes narrowed and Ana gulped, oh they were still in the scene.

"Bend over and hold the edge of the bath." Christian told her before marching out the bathroom. Oh shit she was in trouble. Ana pursed her lips and closed her eyes as she bent over, her hands on the edge of the bath. What did he have in mind for her now?

He returned and before she even got the opportunity to apologise for stepping out of line he was putting cold wet lube on the sphincter of her ass. She moaned excitedly as his finger slipped inside her and as always he stretched her with his thumb, she knew to stay relaxed.

Then the toy was there, a cold metal butt plug. Ana gulped and focused on her breathing. Christian worked quietly, this was a punishment for stepping out of their D/s role in their D/s bathroom. Ana knew the rules, until they completely left the dungeon on the third floor, she was his and to back out she had to safeword, that included the dungeon's ensuite. Slowly he slid the heavy butt plug into place. Ana moaned deeply when her ass closed around it. Christian sniggered, she had no idea what was coming. He pushed a button and Ana yelped as she suddenly felt whatever it was inside her grow and fill her even more. Christian had a small padlock and he fed it into the little catch that had released.

"Sir, what is that?" Ana asked nervously as she heard the padlock click close. She had to ask because it was making her incredibly nervous.

"That is a locking butt plug." He told her. "It's anchored inside you, the only way that's coming out is when I remove the padlock and allow the anchor to close."

Ana gulped, that sounded horrific but Christian sounded excited about it so she accepted this as her punishment. He gave her as a hard swot and she yelped again. It felt crazy with the heavy fullness inside her backside.

"Right, bath." He said. Christian climbed in first and then he helped Ana in in front of him. Every movement she made the butt plug shifted uncomfortably inside her. It was too big, she didn't like the sensation it was giving her but it was a punishment, technically she wasn't supposed to like it and thankfully it wasn't unbearable once she was in the water.

"Ok?" Christian thought best to check in with her as she made herself comfortable against his chest. She nodded lightly, afraid her voice would just be a strangled moan as she sat on her lower back to avoid pushing the butt plug deeper. "Good." Christian said before grabbing a flannel from the edge and starting to wash Ana.

It was torture. He washed every inch of her skin, his fingers trailing after the flannel lazily. She was on fire, her core burned to be penetrated but he stayed away from there. This was the ultimate cruelty. She felt so full while at the same time felt so empty, needing him to fill her and bring her body to the climax she knew he had no intention of giving her. Once he'd tortured her enough he pulled the plug out of the bath and encouraged her to climb out. As she stood he admired the metal padlock hanging out of her ass and gave her another spank, unable to resit. She released a deep glutaral moan, she'd have done anything for a release. She stood silently beside the bath as Christian exited, unsure what to do with herself. She was wet and cold and so desperate she might have burst if she'd moved.

Christian wrapped a towel around his waist and another around Ana's body before hoisting her in his arms. She whimpered, the butt plug moving again. He carried her out of the dungeon, down the stairs to their bedroom.

"You will learn not to be a smart mouth when we're in the dungeon." He told her. She nodded feverishly as he placed her to stand beside the bed. "I'm in two minds whether to leave that butt plug inside you when you go to work."

"Oh Sir please, don't do that." Ana begged quickly, there were multiple reasons why that was a bad idea, first she couldn't sit on this butt plug, secondly she was calling a motion of no confidence in the Prime Minister this afternoon, she needed to have her wits about her.

"Hmmm." Christian hummed, making Ana's belly do backflips. Her little doe eyes were wide with fear and hunger for a release, Christian grinned, he had no intention of making Ana go to work with the butt plug in place but he loved teasing her. "I don't know, the thought of you at the dispatch box…"

"I'm sorry Sir." Ana said hurriedly. "I'm so sorry I answered you back, I'm sorry."

"That's better." Christian said giving the towel around her chest a tug so it fell to the floor. Her whole body was flush with her need and Christian couldn't help but torture her a little more by dragging his thumbs up the side of her body, she whimpered and vibrated beneath his touch.

He lifted her up, his hands under her ass, she yelped but had no time to do much else as he threw her back down on the bed.

"Hold your thighs this will be fast." He told her tugging his own towel free. Ana did as she was told and wrapped her hands around her thighs. Christian quickly removed the padlock from the butt plug, he'd made sure to bring the key down from beside the bath with him. Then he clicked it so the anchor closed, leaving it inside like a regular butt plug. Ana braced herself and Christian slammed his rock hard erection into her making her scream. Yes, this is what she had needed. It didn't take long, she came long and loud as Christian kept up his relentless punishment of her. His thighs pounded against her ass, almost bruising her. Just before he came he tugged the butt plug from her and she clamped down on him hard, locking him in place inside her.

"Ana, Ana, Ana…" He called like a siren as he gripped tightly to her hips, leaving his fingerprints embedded in her skin. She panted hard, gasping for air as though her life depended on it. He climbed onto the bed beside her and pulled her into his chest. He worshiped her, he couldn't believe how incredibly strong she had become over the length of their relationship, how much further away her limits were to what they had once been. She astounded him.

"I love you." She whispered into his chest.

"And I you." He replied, nuzzling her hair.

"I need to get ready for work. I cannot be late for this." Ana sighed, she was so sated and now all she wanted to do was sleep.

"You get ready, there's an outfit on the chair in the wardrobe. I'll go and see if Gail can get our breakfast ready and you can eat in the car."

Ana nodded and Christian went into the closet giving Ana a moment to compose herself. He took less than a minute or two to pull on his suit trousers and shirt before heading out the door, giving Ana the space and privacy she needed, after such an intense session, to ground herself once more before she had to go and be one of the most powerful people in the country.

Christian as always had chosen the perfect outfit for Ana. A black fitted pencil skirt that fell to her knees, a white chiffon blouse tucked in at the waist. It was finished by a double breasted red jacket with embossed buttons and shoulder pads. Ana slipped her feet into some black, pointed toe stilettoes before pulling her hair up into a perfect thick bun on the top of her head.

By the time she'd done her makeup she knew she was pushing it for time but she didn't care. She admired how she looked once more, she would feel so incredibly powerful today standing in front of Elena Lincoln and she'd look the part too.

By the time Ana came down the stairs Christian was by the door waiting for her, his tie now done up, his suit jacket on.

"Breakfast is in the car." He told her. Ana nodded, grateful that he was more together than she was this morning.

It was only an hour drive into the city, it wasn't too bad though with Christian and breakfast to keep her company while she went over her speech notes it flew by. The Parliamentary Party wanted this, some of the Conservatives wanted this and Emma had been clear that she wanted this. Ana however wasn't sure. In her view, the Conservatives were playing her, getting her to do their dirty work and then they would come up trumps with a new Leader for the General Election, they probably had someone already waiting to take the reins with a cabinet in mind and within 14 days a vote of confidence would pass. But like Emma said, it was better than having another nine weeks of Elena Lincoln.

So, Ana had taken Emma's advice and gone to the Motion's office to have it placed on the order paper that she was bringing in a Motion of No Confidence. It had spread like wildfire of course, the media hadn't stopped going on about it and today they would find out if it was worth it. Ana had concerns that she was being set up to fail.

"If you keep frowning your face may stick like that." Christian said teasingly.

"Sorry." Ana smiled awkwardly. "Guess I'm just nervous."

"You have no reason to be, win or lose today it isn't going to do much damage to you." Christian reassured her, with only a few weeks to go before Parliament was dissolved it wasn't like she was going to cause herself too much damage even if she lost this vote.

"I'm worried if I win they'll put someone so much more likeable in her place and come May I'll have ruined any chance of us getting the General Election win." Ana sighed as she glanced out the window, not wanting to see Christian look disappointingly at her.

"Ana, I don't think you have anything to worry about May. No one in the Conservatives came out to support the victims of Islington, they toed the party line and it's too late for them to backtrack and while I fully understand why you won't use Islington to your advantage, others will. You will have a hell of a campaign team and the NEC and all your candidates out there and they will talk about it with people on the doorstep, you know that I know that. The public adores you."

"Being adored and being trusted to the highest office in the country are two different things." Ana replied, she genuinely was worried, while she didn't really want to be Prime Minister she owed it to Douglas, John and the entirety of the Labour Party to secure the election win.

"Listen, we're not talking about the GE right now because there's no need, let's get you to Westminster to do what you need to do and we'll cross the GE bridge when we get to it."

They drove the rest of the way eating their breakfast and drinking their coffee rather than talking any further. Ana's mind fixed on what she was going to do that afternoon and Christian's mind drifting to the future he and Ana might have, especially if a GE win was on the table too. It was crazy.

As always, Kate met them in the underground garage but Ana didn't have time for pleasantries, instead, she allowed Kate to whisk Christian up to the public gallery as she made her way to the House of Commons.

It was bursting at the seams and the noise was deafening. Cheers rippled through the Labour benches as she walked in. The House was not yet officially sitting, the business not starting until this motion. Ana had got this motion to the motions office before the close of business and therefore, as convention dictated, it was on the order paper for the following day. The entirety of the House of Commons was in attendance, it was crazy. There would be an hour of Debate before the question would be put to the House and Ana would have the floor for a large proportion of that time.

"Ready for this?" Emma Phillips asked as Ana sunk into the space reserved for her on the front bench.

"I don't think you can ever be ready to try and bring down the Government." Ana gave a lop-sided smile to her colleague and partner in this venture, without Emma she wouldn't have put the motion forward.

"Well if those Tories are true to their word I think our Prime Minister is about to have a very rude awakening." Emma said as the Prime Minister herself strutted into the chamber, her chin high and her shoulders back. She was exuding confidence. Ana just smirked, she could play this game all day.

"Order, Order!" The Speaker called, bringing the House to silence. "I call the Leader of the Opposition, Ana Steele." He called and Ana gracefully rose to her feet, pushed her own chin out, rolled her shoulders back and confidently stepped up to the dispatch box.

"Mr Speaker." Ana called confidently. Christian chuckled from his seat in the Public Gallery, Ana was oozing sexy self-confidence even though he knew how terrified she was, no one would have known looking at her. "Yesterday afternoon I tabled the motion, 'That this House has no confidence in Her Majesty's Government.' I did this in response to the ever-growing hostility by members of the public that The Prime Minister and her Government continue to fail to recognise the horrific act of terrorism that took place on September Twenty-Sixth. I also draw your attention to the horrific display of childish name-calling displayed by the Prime Minister yesterday in this place. Not once in recorded history has a session of PMQs been suspended due to the behaviour of the Prime Minister. I put it to this House that our Government and our Prime Minister has lost touch with reality…"

"Will the Right Honourable Lady give way?"

"Of course." Ana nodded towards the Conservative backbencher who asked for her to give him the opportunity to speak. She remembered him from the 1922 committee the previous day but had a feeling he wasn't about to publicly announce support for her.

"I'm sorry but is the Leader of the Opposition not also playing childish games of name-calling by stating that the Prime Minister has lost touch with reality? Doesn't she, therefore, believe that she is lowering herself to the same standard?"

"Thank you for that intervention. What the Honourable Gentleman seems to have forgotten is that I am not the person who brought the House to a standstill yesterday afternoon, and I am not the person who has decided to pretend that the biggest act of terror this country has seen should be ignored and wiped from memory. Therefore, no I do not believe I am lowering myself to her standards. What else can you call it but a loss of touch with reality?" Ana was smirking and Christian couldn't be prouder. Rosin gave his shoulder a squeeze, she knew he was as nervous as Ana today even though he'd masked it well all day. The tense energy was all in his shoulders and every time Ana seemed to score a point he'd let out a little breath. She felt it only right to let him know when Ana was doing well.

"Mr Speaker. This Government has lost touch with the people. They're angry, they're hurt and they're let down by the behaviour of the Government." Ana displayed her passion and her love for the people here. She sounded like she was desperate for the members opposite to believe her. It was beautiful and showed how much heart she had. "She's lost touch with her Party. While I sat here in stunned silence at the Prime Minister's behaviour yesterday afternoon her party did so also for longer than I have ever seen them before. I, the members of The Opposition and the public saw the stunned and horrified looks upon the faces of the members opposite…"

"Give way?"

"Yes." Ana signalled over to the member of the Scottish Nationalist Party who asked to speak.

"Would the Leader of the Opposition agree with me that the behaviour displayed by the Prime Minister yesterday is behaviour that we condemn wholeheartedly in this House and if that behaviour had been displayed by any other member in this Place they would have faced an individual suspension for a period of five sitting days?"

"I believe I'm right in saying, Mr Speaker that the five-day suspension is usually the correct procedural way when a member refuses to leave upon being asked to do so. The Prime Minister therefore used her position to flaunt the rules of this place beyond what any other member would be able to do. That goes to show just how far the Prime Minister has fallen. This country can take no more Mr Speaker. While the Prime Minister has been burying her head in the sand regarding the Islington Bombing, the public are coming to terms with the results of investigations by the Metropolitan Police and NHS England which clearly states that the lack of funding, the cuts to their services are why the response to Islington was not what we would expect in London in this age of terror on our streets. Yet the Government who is responsible for those cuts is ignoring the fact the event even took place."

Ana was glaring Elena Lincoln down. Elena was smirking at her, she was confident Ana didn't have a hope while Ana put on a confident front she was concerned that the Conservatives that had promised to support her would turn their back at her in the moment.

"She's doing so amazing." Kate whispered.

"She looks like a leader." Rosin smiled. Christian looked from one to the other. He had to agree with them both but he also knew that what they thought was more important, they knew better what they were talking about.

"Mr Speaker. This can go on no longer. Austerity has broken our country, it's broken our public services, it's broken the heart and soul of this great nation. I also speak on the behalf of all the families and victims of Islington when I say we are deeply hurt and disappointed by our Government and Prime Minister. This Country has had enough Mr Speaker, we need a Government we can have faith and confidence in. This Government is no longer that. The Prime Minister needs to go, she should hang her head in shame for the behaviour she has displayed and the actions she has taken that have destroyed homes, lives and families. This Country deserves so much more, it deserves a Government who cares about them, cares when something happens to them, cares when they are sick or hurt. This Government doesn't have a heart to be able to care about the people of this country, therefore Mr Speaker…" Ana smirked back at Elena, cocked an eyebrow cockily at her. "…I commend my motion to the House."

Cheers erupted from the opposition benches as Ana took to her seat once again, that smirk fixed onto her face. She knew she'd done well, she felt it, the electricity in the air and while Elena was still smirking in her direction it was clear the same confidence was not there as when she first entered the House.

"She did good." Rosin said confidently. Christian nodded, he was so proud of her and watching her now receive nudges and taps from the member's surrounding her seat showed he wasn't the only one who felt she had done amazingly. No one would have known how terrified she had been the whole way over to the House, no one would have ever suspected a thing. If anything, it told Christian that Ana was born to do this, she was born to lead people. Jesus she could have persuaded half the house to drink the kool-aid the way she'd just spoken!

"The motion is that this House has No Confidence in Her Majesty's Government. Prime Minister." The Speaker called, now it was Elena's turn to respond and Christian gulped, this was where things could go badly for Ana.

"Mr Speaker." Elena purred, a sly smile on her face. Christian knew she had an ace up her sleeve, he knew that look on her face. It was the one she'd wear when she'd punish him and throw in something new, something she knew he wasn't interested in or something that frightened him. It was a look that made him scared for Ana. "This Government has made this country a far more stable place than it was ten years ago. Our record and mine as Prime Minister speaks for itself. Therefore, I ask for the confidence of this House. Reject this motion for stability with us at the helm."

"That's it?" Rosin asked almost standing from her seat to see the Prime Minister return to her seat. While many on the Conservative benches were cheering, many others were looking confused. Even Ana looked puzzled. The Prime Minister could speak for as long as she wanted to, there was an hour scheduled for this debate and the only people scheduled to make statements was the Prime Minister, Ana and the leader of the SNP and then back benchers were going to get to use the time up. This made no sense to anyone.

"She's that confident." Kate whispered. "Is she brave or stupid?"

"She's arrogant." Christian replied as he sat there, one hand crossed over his chest, the other hand at his mouth, stroking his lip thoughtfully. "She doesn't know which way this is going to go, she's not worried, she's arrogant."

The Scottish Nationalist Leader was making his speech, no surprise it was all about how bad the Tory Government had been in regards to Scotland, he didn't even mention Islington or the behaviour of the PM the previous day even though they were what had triggered this vote. Of course, the SNP didn't care about anything but Scotland and trying to get Scottish independence.

He spoke for a solid thirty minutes, rambling on and on, half the public gallery were asleep by the time he sat down, even Ana and the PM looked like they were struggling to give him their attention. The mood in the house had lowered considerably. Now it was backbenchers time, this was when things would get interesting, they would see if any of the opposition were leaning towards supporting the Government.

"I hope to God she's got this." Kate murmured as the first of the backbenchers started their piece.

"I don't see anyone on the Opposition benches refusing to back the motion, because the bottom line is the election is only going to be a couple of weeks earlier than it was planned anyway." Rosin replied, there was no reason for them to go against Ana here unless they were having a dig directly at Ana's capability to lead. That would be a statement and a half against Ana if they were to do that.

"Under the Order of the house for today, I am now required to put the question. The question is that this House has no confidence in Her Majesty's Government. As many as there are of that opinion say aye…"

"Aye!" The voices ripped loudly through the house.

"Of the contrary No?"

"No!" Rippled through the Conservative benches but Christian didn't fail to notice how unenthusiastic some of the appeared.

"DIVISION!" The Speaker cried.

The House became alive as everyone stood to make their way to the voting lobbies. Ana looked up at the public gallery, her eyes seemingly finding Christian's. He smiled at her and she stood just a little taller once more.

"Well here we go." Rosin said already turning to her phone.

"Public is going crazy." Kate said finally putting hers down. "This is the biggest thing to have happened in British Politics in decades."

"I hope this goes Ana's way." Christian murmured.

Their voices dipped as the Speaker called on the tellers. Rosin marked them, knowing that she would know the result before the announcement came by knowing who the tellers were.

"How do you think she's holding up?" Kate asked Christian, they had some waiting to do now before the vote would be done and counted.

"She's rocking it." Christian smiled, the pride sparkled in his eyes.

"That she is." Kate agreed. She couldn't be prouder of Ana, she'd come so far in such a short space of time and with every bit of adversity she faced she seemed to gain so much more in strength and passion. It made her an incredible woman, a force to be reckoned with. "I just want to see Elena Lincoln's face if Ana wins this."

"Yeah, she may regret the day she sacked Ana as Education Minister." Rosin chuckled though her eyes were glued on her phone.

"What's the media saying?" Christian asked.

"They're giving the points to Ana for the debate, unsure what to make of the PM's lack of response." Rosin shrugged. That was the weirdest response she'd come across in her entire political history, she didn't know what to make of it either.

Ana shuffled her way through the voting lobby trying to scan for faces of the Conservative Party members who had said they'd support her. She saw a couple, which relaxed her a little but she needed sixteen to get the vote through by one vote. That was a lot of members going against their own Leader to get this vote through.

"Ana Steele." She said going through the gates then she stepped through the door to be counted by the tellers before being free to return to her seat. Emma was already back when Ana got there, having made it through the voting lobby that much faster.

"Well?" She asked, wanting to get a feel for how Ana thought it was going to go. She pursed her lips and shrugged; she didn't have a clue. "Hey even if you get close, that will be an amazing achievement in your first week as Leader of the Opposition." Ana sighed, she didn't think it would be, if she didn't win this, she was sure she'd lose support in the Parliamentary Party because she'd originally told them there wasn't any point taking this to vote. She glanced up at the public gallery again, she couldn't see Christian from her seat but she knew he could see her and she gave a tense smile.

Christian saw the smile and wished so much he could return a more confident smile, reassure her without words that she had this. Even if she lost, it didn't matter, she'd shown she was a leader worth voting for tonight and had probably garnered a lot of support from swing voters who were fed up of Elena and the Tories.

The Chamber started to fill again, the noise increasing as more and more arrived back engaged in their own conversations. Ana kept an eye on the Conservative backbenches, trying to catch the eye of those who dared look in her direction to see if they had lent her their support. She wasn't having much luck though, they were avoiding looking towards her. That made no sense to her, their vote would be in the public record before they even made it home tonight, the media would be announcing all the names of the Tories who went against the PM by the time she'd be getting into bed in her house in Chesham.

When the first of the tellers filed in, they stood in the centre, not giving away which way the vote had gone. Ana's stomach was churning as was Christian's, this was horrendous. Was this going to be Ana's fall from grace? Was this to be a shining moment in her career? She didn't know, no one did.

Christian pressed his fist into his hand, he couldn't cope with this. The stress was ageing him minute by minute, he couldn't imagine what it was doing to Ana even though she looked quite calm and collected.

The last two tellers filled in and when they stood cheers erupted from the Labour benches. Ana's hand flew to her mouth, Elena's face hardened, her lips pursed together.

"She's bloody done it." Rosin gasped as the House was called to Order.

Christian beamed and did a mini fist shake, he couldn't believe it, she'd done it!

"The Ayes to the right three hundred and twenty-nine, the noes to the left three hundred and seventeen."

"Twelve, she's done it by twelve votes." Rosin was beaming, she was beyond happy that this had gone Ana's way. Christian didn't care, it could have been by one vote, Ana had bloody well done it.

"The ayes to the right three hundred and twenty-nine, the noes to the left three hundred and seventeen so they ayes have it the ayes have it. Unlock!"

Before anyone had the opportunity to do or say anything more, Elena Lincoln dove from her seat and for the door. Jeers rippled from the opposition benches while the majority of the Conservatives just looked on completely shell shocked.

No one actually knew what to do now, this was the first time a vote like this had been passed since the passage of the Fixed Term Parliaments Act which meant the Prime Minister had fourteen days to decide what she was going to do. Ana bit her lip, unsure if she was to call a point of order and say something.

"Yes, Point of Order Mr Robert Chernow." Ana didn't get the chance to make her mind up as the Chancellor called first.

"Mr Speaker, I am right in saying that the Prime Minister and the Government now have fourteen days in which to regain the confidence of this house. I believe by the Prime Minister's swift exit this evening that she will need some time to come to terms with the will of the House before making any decisions."

"Yes the Government has fourteen days in which to bring and win a confidence motion before the House." The Speaker replied, confirming the deadline but he seemed as confused as everyone else about what happened next. "I believe the Prime Minister will either bring a Motion or a Statement to the House within the deadline. We come now to the adjournment, the Whip to move?" And before anyone could hear much else the majority of the House rose, glad that the evening was now over. Christian just wanted to get Ana home and celebrate.
