Hero Origins Chapter 0: Prologue
HEYO! I decided to write a new fanfic, YAY! But, it is on a different fandom, My Hero Academia! I wanted to try something new in this story, which is not at all centered around romance…but there will be minor hints of some :-). The writing style of this story will probably be a bit different than my other stories because of an idea I got. So, hope you enjoy!
We live in a changing society where less than 10% of the population is born with an uncanny ability called a quirk.
Mt name is Kazuya Aki, but you can call me Kaz for short. I'm one of the few people born with one of these abilities. This is the story of how I became the world's first hero.

"Mom! MOM! HELP!"
That day was a turning point for me.
"Kazuya!? What is happening"
A day that changed my life.
"Your kid seems to have developed a quirk."
"what?"
"a very rare ability; often shunned by society"
One that shaped who I am today.
"Kazuya, life won't get any easier for you"
"Mom" I reached out to her
"No! Stay away!"
"Mom?"
"You will now be raised by a new family; I'm not your mom anymore," people in armor started coming
"MOM!?" I cried

10 years later:
"Another case of villainous quirk use," said a reporter, "most people born with quirks become criminals."
"Hey bro Kaz, what you watching?" asked Tomoya
Tomoya is probably the only friend of mine who knows about my quirk. Probably because of the fact that he also has one.
Tomoya's eyes widened when he saw the news report, "Kaz, don't worry. Quirks will be accepted by society eventually."
I laughed inside. It was easy for Tomoya to say, his quirk is easy to hide. It just allows him to keep his eyes open longer than the average human. Mine isn't as easy to hide.
"Kazuya! Tomoya! Come here," said Mai
Mai, my other friend. Tomoya, Mai, and I have been childhood friends. It kind of makes me feel bad about hiding our quirks. Kind of.
"Have you seen the news report?" asked Mai, "society is very negative about quirks, it is kind of frightening"
"Yes, Mai, we have seen it. It was indeed scary," responded Kazuya
Mai, Tomoya, and I are all on a first name basis because we are so close to each other (A/N: In Japan, people usually call each other by their last mane, but if they are very close, then they say the first name instead)
*Bell ring*
"Welp," said Tomoya, "Guess we need to get to class, see ya."
"See ya," Mai and Tomoya said at the same time
Tomoya is in a different class than Mai and me. He is in class 2-1, while we are in 3-1.
Kazuya and Mai then started to take a seat in their class.
"Ok, class. Open your history books. We are going to learn about the history of quirks."
"oh no," Kazuya muttered
Mai Midoriya: Age 15: Blood type O: Hobbies playing volleyball: Quirk None
Kazuya (Kaz) Aki: Age 15: Blood type A: Hobbies sleeping and eating: Quirk Hydro-Permeation (when the outside of his body comes in contact with a liquid, his body takes the same properties of that liquid and becomes "part" of that liquid; it works best with water)
Tomoya Reji: Age 15: Blood type A: Hobbies Minecraft and Pokémon: Quirk No-Tears (his eyes don't need tears to hydrate them, so he doesn't blink much)
So, that is the end of this chapter. It is my new story. You may notice the italics; it is the MC's thoughts. As you probably have guessed, this story is full of OC's and takes place when quirks were first appearing. The chapters here will probably be a bit shorter than my other stories, but they may increase in length. Hope you enjoy this story. Don't forget to follow/fav/review.
