Sesshomaru could not help but be curious as to why the young Miko had drawn a crowd around herself. He had just returned from his lunch break and was unpleased to see employees blocking the path to his office. Pure annoyance was written on his face as he walked out of the elevator onto his crowded floor. It was bustling with people and boisterous with chatter.

"You idiot, that's not what it's saying!", yells Sesshomaru's most annoying business partner, Kouga. The wolf could be an efficient man at times with his ideas and business tactics, however, he can become quite a nuisance. As of right now, he was arguing with none other than the half-breed himself. It was another one of the wolf's good qualities, it's easy for him to aggravate Inuyasha.

Diverting his attention back to Kagome, he knew that he can only assume that all this ruckus was none other than her fault. He made a mental note to add to the growing list of things that he would make sure to thank Sango about. Luckily for Sesshomaru, his employees started to notice a change in the atmosphere and his presence. They quickly began to scurry out of the floor and back to their respective spots. The Miko was too concentrated on whatever noise was coming out of her phone to notice the Dai Youkai.

Sesshomaru made his way over to her and leaned over her small frame to get a glimpse of what the priestess was doing.

"Higurashi, could you explain to me why all the workers of this building were on MY floor" his voice startled Kagome, she jumped and quickly turned to face her temporary boss. Though his face read emotionless, she could clearly see irritation.

She laughs nervously as she realizes how close in proximity she is to her temporary boss. She takes a step back and displays her phone to him, making sure to keep a tight grip on it. Kagome could never forget the time he'd taken it away from her.

The phone displayed two words that were separated on the screen reading 'Yanny' and 'Laurel'. Sesshomaru arches his brow in question and looks at the Miko.

"When people listen to the recording they either hear 'Yanny' or 'Laurel'." Kagome then plays the recording on her phone. She looks at her boss and can't help but quickly grimace when a smirk finds its way onto his face. She quickly puts her phone away in fear of him confiscating it again.

"Which is it that you hear?"

"'Laurel', but sometimes I can hear 'Yanny'. What about you?"

"I hear my secretary not working" Sesshomaru swiftly turned, satisfied to finally have a clear path to his office, and made his way down the hall. The Miko sulked and quietly trailed behind him, muttering obscenities.

Forgot I even had this typed out!

So someone left some strong criticism in the reviews and I just wanted to say this is a light-hearted romcom. If you want a serious office-like setting where Kagome can't be silly there are so many other fanfics for that. I know that some of the things I have written about are not okay for an office setting but this is not real life, it's fiction! Also if you think my Sesshomaru is OOC then you have not read half the fanfics here lmao, have a nice day.
