Hey Dravenites, welcome to the 2nd chapter of Girl meets marriage. Don't forget to follow, favorite , review and above all, enjoy!

It had been a week since Farkle proposed to Riley and she was on top of the world.

Even her co-workers at the psychology practice she worked at thought she was even more peppy than usual. Her boss Clarissa even started saying that '' smiley Riley just got more smiley''. Of course being happy about being engaged was fun and all, but she and Farkle needed to start planning the wedding…and it started with venues.

Currently the pair were in the living room surrounded by balled up pieces of paper and ashtrays full of pencil shavings.

'' How about a winter wedding?'' Farkle asked.

'' Sure, you're in a suit and I'm freezing my butt off in a dress. Let's also not forget about the constant threat of frostbite and pneumonia'' Riley responded.

'' It doesn't have to be outside babe, it can be inside with heaters.''

'' But wouldn't that mean we'd be in a church.''

'' Not necessarily but what would make that so bad?''

'' Nothing really, I just never envisioned myself getting married in a church is all.''

'' Ok, well where did you see yourself getting married?''

'' Honestly?''

'' Honestly.''

'' You won't make fun of me?''

'' Riley I'd never make fun of you'' Farkle said holding her hands.

'' Aww thanks, ok I always saw myself getting married on a beach.''

'' Why would that be worth being made fun of?'' Farkle asked.

''The constant wind and sand grains flying. The tide potentially washing away the platform we'll be standing on, the list goes on.''

'' Well don't feel embarrassed, if you want to get married on a beach, then we get married on a beach.''

'' Ok but which beach, a lot of the beaches in New York are public.''

'' Not all of them, remember my dad owns one.''

'' He'd be ok with us using it?''

'' Sure, and even if he isn't, how could say no to you?'' Farkle flirted.

'' Aww'' Riley pecked him on the lips.

'' But when? It's insane to try it during the Winter, in Summer everyone'll be boiling hot, Spring seems nice but there's a pollen problem and then there's Autumn.''

'' What's wrong with Autumn?'' Riley asked.

'' Nothing, it's a bit chilly but not too cold for the beach'' Farkle said.

'' And my parents got married in Autumn so there's that'' Riley added.

'' But when though? November's a bit too close to winter, so that leaves September or October'' Farkle stated analytically.

'' I say September, the leaves are turning so it could be a symbol of how we were friends and now we're more than friends'' Riley smiled at him.

Farkle looked at her, even 14 years later it never ceased to amaze him as to how in tune with all things positive Riley was.

'' Farkle, sweetie, are you OK?'' Riley asked out of concern.

'' Yeah I'm fine just zoned out it is all.''

'' So back to October, I can't really think of any reason why we shouldn't get married then. But then again I can't of any reason why we'd get married then.''

'' Then I suggest we go for September, there's a relatively low chance of rain and like you said the leaves are starting to turn so it could symbolize our lives changing.''

'' Great so now that we've decided that it's going to be in September we just have to ask your dad if we can use his private beach and like you said , no one can say no to me'' Riley beamed.

'' That is true, now where do we have our reception?'' Farkle inquired.

'' I don't know, we've seen so many'' Riley responded.

'' Don't worry, I narrowed it down to the top 3'' Farkle dug in his pocket, pulled out a list and gave it to his fiancée.

'' Diamond Heights, Angel's Cove and the symbiote's cave? Farkle for the last time we are not having our reception in a comic book store'' Riley playfully scolded.

'' Dammit, well I do have a backup, it's nothing to fancy and we haven't checked it out but it's a place I found at my last conference'' Farkle dug in his pocket again and produced a photo and gave it to Riley.

Riley examined the picture, it was of a hill overlooking a large body of water.

'' Farkle is this Lake Champlain?''

'' It is, we never looked near the area but I've always thought it would be a great place to get married and-

'' I love it'' Riley interrupted.

'' You-you do?''

'' Definitely also my dad's beach is a beach on the lake so…''

'' Wow, you've really thought this out'' Riley remarked, clearly impressed.

'' Guess so, I've kind of been planning this since first grade'' Farkle shrugged.

'' Well I'd love to see the area where you think we should have the reception.''

'' Great, tomorrow's Saturday so we can go check it out then, right now I have a gaming night with the guys, and if I recall isn't tonight new Bachelor episode night?'' Farkle said.

'' Yep, I think its started so I'll start watching now'' Riley said, sweeping everything off the living room table and grabbing the remote.

The following day Riley had woken up a bit earlier to make an appointment with the potential reception hall. It had been set up and the two were expected at 11AM.

It was currently 8 and Riley now had the Herculean task of waking up her fiancé, ever since becoming a business magnate, Farkle had become a very deep sleeper.

Riley crept into their room and saw Farkle sprawled across his half of the bed.

Riley tapped Farkle on the shoulder, which caused him the twitch. She then tried shaking him gently.

'' Farkle, Farkle'' she whispered.

'' What?'' he asked groggily.

'' We have to be at the venue in 3 hours, its time to get up'' she said in a loving tone.

'' Uggh, too early'' he replied as he turned over so his face was buried in his pillow.

Riley sighed, this wasn't the first time she'd had to wake Farkle up and it definitely wasn't going to be the last. Walking over to the curtains she swiftly opened them causing Farkle to hiss and get up.

'' Gah, Riles you know I hate that'' he complained.

'' I had to get you out of bed somehow '' Riley shrugged. '' Now come on there's a new episode of Pointless on and I recon it's my turn to beat you.''

'' Not today Matthews!'' Farkle declared as he dashed after her.

An hour later the pair had gotten out of their pajamas and into normal clothes, they were currently off to the forementioned area.

The place they were off to was called the Crystal Palace, overlooking a portion of Lake Champlain, the naturally occurring quartzite crystals created a gleam that shone over the lake. The palace part of the name came from its medieval-style architecture and of course because of its size.

The hotel had close to 600 rooms, it also included a large pool, tennis courts, a spa, minigolf course and much to what would be Maya's delight, its own private vineyard.

It's most prominent feature however was its function center, the hotel had become, according to its owner, '' synonymous with wedding functions''. The area was a large round hall with all tables in a triangle, of course Riley and Farkle's would be at the top point.

'' So how did you convince the owner to let us come in on such short notice?'' Farkle asked as the two neared the hotel.

'' I said my fiancée is Farkle Minkus, and then magically there was space for us.''

'' Yeah that'll do it'' Farkle chuckled.

The two reached the parking lot of the hotel, as the walked towards the entrance, they saw an overweight man, with balding hair standing in front of them in an obviously too small sharkskin suit. Currently he was occupied with his phone.

As the pair walked towards him the man got off his phone. '' Ah Ms Matthews and Mr. Minkus, welcome to the Crystal Palace, my name is Marius DuBois and I am the owner of this proud establishment.

'' Am I detecting an accent?'' Riley asked.

'' South African Ms. Matthews, I'm originally from Johannesburg in Gauteng.''

'' Oh that's cool, why did you come to America then?'' Farkle asked.

'' I came because I got accepted for a hotel management course at Cornell, it's been an amazing experience but the highlight is hosting the celebrity wedding of the century'' Marius said.

'' Oh well, we don't see it that way'' Riley said.

'' Regardless I'd love to show you what we have to offer here. Follow me'' Marius instructed.

The couple obediently followed the man as he led them through a lobby which could easily encompass their entire townhouse. The lobby held three large fireplaces, a pianist and multiple chesterfield couches which sat upon carpeted floors.

'' Babe this place is massive'' Riley whispered.

'' I know, I've never felt so, tiny'' Farkle responded.

Eventually Marius brought them outside to a garden that overlooked the lake, the Sun was in its highest position so its beams shone upon the water, creating a glisten on the water.

'' Its magnificent'' Riley sighed as she rested her head on Farkle's shoulder.

'' It's my personal favorite Ms. Matthews. I'm assuming that since you enjoy the view, you'll enjoy the function area?'' Marius asked.

'' Most likely'' Farkle said excitedly.

Marius lead them through a pair of wooden doors that led to the function area.

It had the feeling on an old school lodge save for the four gigantic chandeliers that were the room's light source. The tables, although bare at the moment were still mesmerizing with the pearl white color that they were.

The pair gazed around them, adorning the walls were pictures painted by an artist they personally knew; Maya Friar. The paintings were of the lake, sunsets and the hotel itself. The floor they were standing on was a mahogany hardwood, smooth in nature with no specific pattern on them.

'' Farkle?''

'' Yes Riley?''

'' This is it.''

'' It is?''

'' Yes, I want to get married here, it's huge of course but it's also strangely intimate, what do you think?''

'' I also love it, the view of the lake, the function area, it's all perfect but what's the price'' Farkle asked Marius.

'' Normally I would charge someone of Mr. Minkus' financial situation triple the price, however I cannot do this for you, I'm giving you a discount.''

'' Not that I'm complaining, but why?'' Farkle asked.

'' Consider it a wedding present from us here at the Crystal Palace, this will cost you 10,000 dollars, food included'' Marius said happily.

Since Riley and Farkle had known each other for so long, they could tell what the other was thinking simply by looking at the other person, this was happening now. Riley looked at Farkle, and he at her.

'' Deal'' they said in unison.

'' Perfect, here is my email address, and I'll send you a quote in the morning'' Marius smiled at them.

'' Wow, so two things are done already, what do we do now?'' Riley asked Farkle as they watched Pointless later that evening.

'' About what?'' Farkle asked.

'' Other wedding prep, we should take our time shouldn't we, I mean this is going to be a day to remember for our whole lives, it should be special'' Riley explained.

Farkle kissed her cheek, '' As long as I'm with you that's all that matters'' he smiled at her.

Riley snuggled into him and a few minutes later, fell asleep.

Not going to lie this is by far the most fun I've had writing for a long time. Not that I didn't enjoy writing my other fanfics but this one just feels different. Anyway I hope you enjoyed it and stay tuned for more Riarkle.
