Thanks for 90 reviews everyone :) Here's an early update.

"My brother?" I asked in shock.

"Was!" My... father said. "He passed to the summer lands, a few years ago now."

"Oh." I didn't know what to say, so looked to Eric who was watching me. Our eyes locked, and something passed between us but I couldn't explain what. It was almost like I am drawn to him in a way that I'd never been to anyone else.

"You have two other, older brothers and cousins." I looked back to my father and stared at him in shock. I had completely forgotten about my... Adele who had suddenly found her voice again.

"She has one brother named Jason, and has one cousin named Hadley."

"You are trying my patients old woman. I only tolerated you because of my son and his trust he had for you for some reason I will never understand. Sookie, it is up to you where you chose to live. I would prefer it if you didn't work at the S-Merlotte's bar but I know you've been raised... unfortunately differently to how you would have been, has things been different in our world."

I didn't answer straight away.

"Where would I stay? All my stuff is here and is a ten minuet drive away from work. Well it'll be a twenty minute walk tomorrow night."

"I'd let you stay with me, but id need to prepare things for your arrival and inform the family I have a daughter." Silence greeted his words.

"She can stay with me Brigant if she choses not to stay here."

"Or I can just stay with my friend Tara, who also works at Merlotte's."

"I'd rather you not stay here, and be poisoned further, and I'd rather you not live with Northman, so your friend Tara, would be a good choice." My father tells me.

"There's nothing wrong with my place Brigant. What are you afraid of, what was she on about? At least she'll be better protected with me, rather than out in the open, with another human defenceless." I wonder who the she was, he was referring too and found myself feeling surprisingly jealous.

"Sookie's home is here, where it's always been." Adele suddenly pipped up again.

We all turned to stare at her, completely forgetting she is here.

"Really? You'd honestly think I'd want to stay here, under this roof after years of lies. I've just discovered I'm not a Stackhouse. I've just realised I'm not the only one who's different, and has unique abilities and you expect me to not find out who I actually am?"

"I expect you to be the young lady I raised you to be, and I didn't teach you to speak to me in this manner. They are changing you already."

"Or perhaps she's finding her voice Adele. We Brigant's don't hold back, you should know that." Brigant... I'd heard that a few times this night. Sookie Brigant... Sookie Stackhouse... Sookie Brigant!

"What is your decision Sookie? It's up too you. It's not your father's or that woman's. I only live in Shreveport so it'll only be a half an hour commute each way. All though I will agree with your father I don't know if working for the S-Merlotte will be a good idea... for long." I narrowed my eyes at them both. My... father glaring at Eric, and Eric ignoring him completely, his eyes waiting for me.

"Why would I not be safe?" Before either of them could respond...

"Yes! She has a home here, where I'VE kept her safe for twenty one years."

"Shut up!" All three of us said at once, not even looking at her.

"I'll stay at Tara's thanks. I don't know either of you well enough to make that decision. I don't particularly want to stay here. But that will mean getting my stuff." I glanced at Eric to see his eyes flash something, then my father who looked pleased.

"Unless you two can give me that one good reason why it is not safe to stay at Tara's."

"Brigant, I believe that is your story." A phone rang before he could answer. I watched as a look passed between Eric and my father. He pulled it out of his pocket, and looked at the screen. He sighed.

"Yes." Is all he said, in greeting to the person on the other side.

"Why?"

"Just pass her the phone Brigant."

"Shut up V-Northman." I raised my eyebrows at this. I noticed Eric lift one up, but his eyes flashed something I couldn't read. A warning perhaps.

They both seemed to flinch and my father handed me the phone. I looked at it as if it was going to burn me, then looked back up at him.

"What am I to do with it?" I asked him, confused. Eric burst out laughing so I shot him a glare.

"Somebody wants to speak with you." He said looking some what reluctant, taking hold of my arm and placing the thing in my hand himself when I didn't budge.

"Oh." I took it and put it to me ear and waited. I noticed Eric had stopped laughing now, and was looking at me or the phone with rapt attention, as was my father. He looked to Eric briefly who looked over my head, and then I heard the door slam shut behind me, making me jump, and felt a wave of something wash over me.

"Hello dear, I'm aware you don't know me, but I know all about you. You've got two powerful men, wrapped around your little finger. Just a little tip for you, chose the Sheriff and not your friend Tara. Your father will just have to learn to accept that things wont be as he visioned. At least with the Sheriff he can protect you, and you can still live your life the way you have been for as long as you chose. If you stay with your friend Tara, things might not end well, depending on the choices of those around you... and that will be a shame to loose your life so soon, when it's only just beginning."

"Why would I loose my life at Tara's?" I ask the person, confused. Looking up at my... father and then to Eric. I got a funny feeling, that they could both hear the whole conversation but then again how?

"That I can not say."

"But you've just told me I can not stay at my childhood best friend's house because I will loose my life? I think, I have a right to know why? I've stayed there loads of times before... and how do you know Tara's name?" I demand. It chuckled back at me.

"Niall, she's definitely a Brigant." What the fuck?

"Indeed." My father said with a hint of amusement through tight lips, glaring at Eric.

"Good luck girly. I hope you chose wisely. I look forwards to meeting you in the future."

"You never answered my question." I ask hurriedly.

"Feel it." Is all I got, before the phone went dead. I handed it back to my father, who was looking between myself and Eric with an unreadable expression.

"She unfortunately can't stay with me yet, as I would have liked her too. One day she will see her home, when I have made preparations in our world but during the day she's mine Northman, and when night falls Sheriff... if a single hair on her head get's hurt in any kind of way, your own sword in my hand will be the death of you. I do not need your location, she is my blood."

Pulling me in for a quick hug he, kissed my forehad and dissapeared before my eyes.

"What the fuck?"
