You all asked for it :) Thanks for ONE HUNDRED reviews :)

I did not see my father that day, and I didn't see Eric either, until he arrived at Merlotte's and sat in my section. He'd given me one of his flashy car's to drive. Sam had also been acting a bit out of character around me, and I was starting to get pissed off. Tara wasn't in tonight, so Sam is covering her shift. Maybe that's why he's grumpy?

"What can I get you?" I asked Eric, note-pad at ready.

"Did you see him today?" He asked me, glancing at my boss through narrowed eyes.

"No. I stayed by the pool all day, after I had my coffee, which was rudely interrupted by some middle-aged grumpy, disrespectful fart." I tell him bluntly. Bobby Burnham is for sure in a league of his own. Eric's head snapped up in my direction so fast, I thought he blurred for a second.

"What did my day-man do?" He asked, clearly pissed.

"Oh nothing much. Maybe leta few things slip..." I shrug and walked over to the next table, and made sure everyone was happy, completely ignoring everyone else. Let him stew on that for a while, a million and one things is probably running through his mind right now. Shame I can't hear a fucking word of it.

I carried on as if he wasn't even there. Then I hear a voice I'd completely forgotten about. Oh fan-freaking-tastic. I continued on as if I hadn't heard him, and felt myself moving towards Eric's table. He seemed to sense my unease and pulled me in to the booth he is sat at.

"Ignore him." He said. Arlene just happened to turn and see me sat down at that moment.

"Oh hey, handsome." She say's coming over, as if she hadn't noticed him before. She also completely ignored me. I found myself moving closer into Eric's side, placing a hand on his thigh under the table, as if staking my claim on him, and his arm tightened around my waist. When had that got there? And why did I just think 'staking my claim' as if he where mine? The heck?

"What can I get cha? I see Miss Stackhouse still hasn't ordered you anything. She's not a very good waitress I'm afraid." I went to move but Eric held me in place.

"I don't want anything, I'm just waiting for my woman to finish her shift so we can have make up sex. I pissed her off earlier you see and she took my favourite car thankfully undamaged." He said, I had to really keep a straight face, and thankfully I think all my years of practicing with my telepathy has paid off. I felt Eric's lips at my ear. He had five flashy cars, and left me a note saying that he'd given me the least expensive one and not to worry if I damage it.

"Play along." I peaked inside Arlene's mind, and noticed Sam watching our group intently, cleaning the same glass, over and over again.

Arlene is to put it simply jealous and pissed off. Pissed off because for the first time in her life she's actually had to step up and work.

"I didn't know you had a boyfriend Sookie." I do actually roll my eyes, upon hearing this

"Why would you?" I say sweetly, laying my head on Eric's shoulder. It felt strangely right, doing this move.

"How does that lovely grandmother of your's feel about him?"

"Oh she's met him already."

"ARLENE!" Sam came up behind her, causing her to jump. At that moment Jason popped on right over. Just my rotten fucking luck. Eric felt me stiffen, and I'm pretty sure Sam saw it too, as his eyebrows rose, then closed his eyes.

"WHAT?" Arlene snapped back at him.

"Get back to your section, you shouldn't even be in this area it's Sookie's. Sookie we are already short staffed with Tara off tonight. I still don't know what's going on, but judging by your reaction to him, and what you said last night it's something big. I don't want any more shit to go down in my bar."

"Sis, why weren't you at breakfast or lunch to- oh? Gran was pissed. I've never seen the lady so angry before. I took my plate and left, before she hit me with it!" Was Jason's smart response.

"At least you are sober." Eric answered for me.

"Fuck off." Jason continued to stare at me. Sam is looking between the three of us with narrowed eyes.

"Why don't you?" He said in response.

"And she is my fucking sister mister." Jason folded his arms over his chest, narrowing his eyes at Eric.

"She's my fucking woman you dip shit." I closed my eyes and just blocked them all out, using Eric's empty void as an escape from those around me. I felt myself relax and float, as all the noise left my mind, and enjoyed a few moments of peace before my eyes flew open, and I realised I was in my room back at Eric's place. HU?

"I believe you fainted, your father will be here this afternoon." A voice to my right said, I looked in that direction, and found Eric leaning against the wall in the shadow's.

"Oh, I don't remember. Just that I closed my eyes for a second to block everyone out." I say honestly. He moves in at super-speed and is hovering over me, our faces almost touching.

"What are you?" He asks.

"What are you?" I fired back at him.

"Why can't I here you? It's so peaceful, yet frustrating at the same time."

"You go first." He said. I narrowed my eyes.

"It's almost like your thoughts aren't there, where they are supposed to be. Instead it's a peaceful yet frustrating blackhole instead. I've never come across it before." I pause. "That's your only clue." I tell him. He narrowed his eyes this time, still hovering over me, not quite touching.

"A mind reader, also none as a telepath. I've heard of your kind, but never actually met one, in all of my decades of walking this earth. You are a rare breed." He paused. "That's your clue!" He fired back, smirking, looking amused.

"Decades? You don't look much more than in your twenties?" He chuckled.

"Try hundreds..." I felt my eyes widen.

"Hundreds?" I say in shock.

Eric leaned in as if he was going to kiss me. Instead I felt his lips at my ear.

"Vampire."
