Kiss Me

It was a chilly Winter day on the Island of Sodor. Everyone worked very hard despite it snowed heavily, causing the tracks to be blocked. Luckily, they were given snowploughs to clear the tracks and keep the railway going. Despite the harsh weather, everyone was very excited as it was Christmas Day. They were all lucky enough to get their jobs finished at one o clock in the afternoon so they can enjoy the holidays like the holidaymakers were.

When the afternoon arrived, The Fat Controller told everyone that they are off for work and will only ask a few people to work later to collect the passengers like Connor and Caitlin. Just getting that news was a massive relief for everyone as they can now go home and celebrate the most occasional holiday that everyone enjoyed. There, they all wasted no time and went off to go home.

However, out of all the workers on the North Western Railway, there were two workers that were looking forward to the most. One person was a young man with very fair skin, jet black hair, and cobalt blue eyes. He was just done pulling the express from Vicarstown with his big blue tender engine with the number 4 on the sides. He was delighted as he worked very hard for the past few weeks to make holidaymakers very happy. He knew that when he gets home, he can not only relax but to spend time with someone he loved dearly.

The other worker was a young woman with fair skin, dark brown hair that matched her eye colour. She was just done working with Emily, who was a good friend to her, to bring decorations to Knapford to make the station brighter than ever with her large cherry red tender engine. Just knowing that she can rest and not to stress a lot made her feel at ease as she was looking forward to having a wonderful afternoon with her friends and to her special someone.

Inside Tidmouth house, everything inside was glowing thanks to the fairy lights as it was hung on the huge Christmas tree that was well decorated. The stockings were at the fireplace to give a right touch as the fire gave some warmth to everyone who was in there. Near the fireplace was a radio that played well known Christmas songs that everyone knew by their hearts. Just being inside the lounge room was magical to everyone as they were enjoying every moment that Christmas had to offer. Everyone did get gifts in the morning but having an afternoon off to have a wonderful time was the best gift for them.

As everyone laughed their way, the jet black hair man was witnessing the falling snow from the window as he drank a nice hot coffee. Just seeing how the snowflakes danced gracefully with the wind giving them a twirl was a speculator thing to see. He usually didn't pay attention to what Winter had in store but now seeing this made him feel satisfied as he couldn't believe it was Christmas and that he can get some well-earned rest.

While watching the snow, he heard footsteps coming behind him. At first, he thought it was Thomas as he knew that he was the type to like to do harmless pranks or jumpscares, especially on special occasions but when he turned his head around to see who was there, he gasped in awe as his eyes went wide. Right in front of him was a woman with fair skin, dark brown hair that was done in a bun and dark brown eyes that matched perfectly to her hair colour. She was a cherry red Christmas gown with shiny cherry red slippers with hollies at the tip of the shoes. She was also wearing a holly hairclip to her right side of her head.

The man found her very beautiful, like an angel with the outfit she was wearing. He was only wearing a fine yet simple dark blue Winter clothes with a red and dark blue stripy scarf around his neck. He did feel a bit awkward as he only wore plain clothes while she wore a gorgeous outfit. However, his awkwardness faded the away as the woman gave her a warm smile, "Hello Gordon.", she greeted.

"Hey Rebecca.", Gordon replied warmly as he gave her a gentle smile.

"It's been a busy morning.", Rebecca sighed as she then went to sit next to Gordon on his right.

Gordon blushed in a lovely shade of pink as he looked at her with the same gentle smile that was shown upon his lips, "Yeah… good thing that we can have a break from doing lots of works.", he replied as he went to sip his coffee.

"I agree.", Rebecca nodded as she and Gordon worked so hard to get the jobs done correctly and well.

As Gordon continued to have his coffee, Rebecca then looked at the window as she saw the snowflakes fell gracefully from the sky above, "Wow. I didn't know that just seeing the snow falling is very pretty.", she smiled.

Gordon turned his head back to the window as he looked at Rebecca, "I agree. It's just too bad we don't get to experience the wonders that Winter had to offer.", he sighed sadly as he was a busy man that doesn't to experience the fun like others do as he does want to be a really useful worker that anyone could rely on.

Just hearing Gordon's sigh made Rebecca frowned a bit as she couldn't agree more, "Yeah… well at least we can enjoy the moment now. Just you and me."

With that, she laid her head against Gordon's right shoulder blade. Gordon's eyes went wide at first as his blush went from pink to red. He turned his head to see Rebecca was closing her eyes as she enjoyed his company. After a few seconds of feeling surprise, he then smiled at her as his blush died down.

As Rebecca relaxed and Gordon was enjoying her company, Gordon then heard loud screaming as he looked at the window with wide eyes. Rebecca also heard the noise, and she got off Gordon's shoulder blade as she thought something terrible had happened. To their relief, they saw two men playing rough in the snow while laughing. One man had fair skin, dark blue hair, sky blue eyes and he wore a blue Winter outfit and the other man was taller, had very fair skin, ebony black hair, and ruby red eyes that matched in his Winter outfit.

Just seeing them having the time of their life made them smile. They knew that these two were happy like they were, but only these two were acting like children. There, they saw the ebony black hair man used his Winter cap and covered his and the other man's face as they were kissing, which then he tossed it to the ground.

"Aww. It's nice to see Thomas and James together.", Rebecca smiled as she was a good friend with them despite Thomas was known to be very cheeky and that James was known to be a bit of a show-off.

Gordon looked at Rebecca and nodded, "Yes. I'm glad they are happy together.", he agreed as he supported their love like how they supported his relationship with Rebecca, despite the fact that they haven't dated as long as James and Thomas.

Once the couple were done kissing, Rebecca then looked at Gordon and then she gave him a look that she wanted Gordon to kiss her. When Gordon saw that, he blushed hard as he never kissed Rebecca, let alone anyone. However, he dated her for quite some time. He didn't have the courage to do so.

To try to avoid upsetting her, he then looked at his coffee and asked, "Do you need coffee?"

Rebecca only frowned a bit as she thought didn't understand her sign. Before she could reply, they heard a banging noise near the kitchen. They both turned their head sharply as they wondered about what was going on. To their surprise, they saw a man with fair skin, medium caramel brown hair, and pure green eye. The man was now covered with self-rising flour as they did remember that he was going to make some Christmas pudding. Usually, Rebecca doesn't laugh at that kind of situation, but in this case, she covered her mouth as she giggled. She felt sorry for him but seeing this was hilarious for her. Gordon, however, frowned in annoyance as he didn't find it funny.

As they witnessed him trying to clean his face as he was upset, they saw a man with fair skin, greyish blue hair, and blue star eyes entered as he rushed to help his aid. There, he grabbed a cloth a wiped his face. Once he was clean, the pure green eyes man smiled as he thanked him, "T-thanks Edward."

"You're welcome, Henry.", Edward replied as he joined in to help on making the dessert.

Once they both done watching the scene, Rebecca turned her head to Gordon and sighed as she remembered on what she was going to say, "Gordon? You know how you asked if I want coffee… well I was going to say no thank you.", she sighed.

Gordon saw Rebecca's eyes as he can see that she was hurt. He knew too well that she knew that he tried to avoid on kissing her. He didn't do this because he didn't care, but because he secretly felt like a chicken as he thought that being scared was an indignity thing to feel. So, he then tried to think of another way to get her happy. After a moment of thinking, he smiled widely as he knew what to do, "Rebecca? I have something to show you!", he exclaimed as he grabbed her hands.

Rebecca blushed from Gordon's move as he tried to take her out of the lounge room to show her something that he thought could make Rebecca smile. As he was doing it, Percy, who was Thomas's best friend, noticed something that the couple didn't see, "Look! You're under a mistletoe!", he cried.

"W-what?", stuttered Gordon as he and Rebecca looked up to see where the mistletoe was.

There, right above their heads was a mistletoe with a cute red ribbon on it. Gordon blushed madly as Rebecca's mouth went wide in surprise. They didn't expect that the mistletoe was there. They both knew that when two people stood under that plant, they must kiss each other to bring good luck. Just seeing it made Rebecca happy yet embarrassed. She knew that Gordon had to kiss her, yet she didn't want anyone to witness them. She then looked at Gordon and chuckled nervously, "Whelp… we have to kiss each other."

The moment she said that Gordon covered his face as he ran away from the lounge room. Everyone who was in the room gasped as Rebecca frowned. She knew that Gordon refused to kiss her, but she knew he didn't want to do it where everyone was there to see it. She gave Percy an upset look and said, "Now, you didn't have to make a scene."

Percy looked down in shame as he didn't mean to upset the couple. When Rebecca saw that he was sorry for his action, she sighed as she knew that Gordon had left. So, without a moment to spare, she went off to find him and help him to make him feel happy and calm once again.

At the backyard, Gordon sat on the patio rocking chair as he had his head covered by his legs in embarrassment. He was going to surprise Rebecca something nice, but to have someone shouted that he was under the mistletoe with Rebecca was humiliating for him as he didn't have the guts to do so. He knew that his action was an indignity move. As he tried to ignore what had happened back in the lounge room, he heard the backyard door opened. He wanted to see who it was, but he was too embarrassed at that point. So, he kept his position, hoping that the person would go away and leave him alone.

However, he heard footsteps was going toward him. At that point, he kept mumbling in hopes he would get the person to leave, "Go away. Go away. Go away. Go away. Go away."

His plan didn't go well as he heard the person sat next to him on the patio rocking chair. Feeling rather cross, he put his head up quickly as he turned his head sharply. He then went to give the person a glare as he frowned. To his shock, it was Rebecca who was next to him. There, his anger was immediately replaced with guilt as he sighed, "Oh… it's you."

Rebecca could see Gordon was troubled and upset, "That was pretty unnecessary for Percy to make a scene.", she sighed as she tried to comfort him.

"Yeah.", he grunted as he folded his arms, "Percy just made me an absolute fool and that he made you feel embarrassed too."

Though Gordon was embarrassed from that situation, Rebecca didn't feel the same as Gordon felt. However, she tried to get Gordon to calm down as he was the type the person that was difficult to get him to calm down when he was furious, "Yeah… I did talk to him about it.", she softly spoke as she looked at him with glistening eyes.

Gordon knew that Rebecca was the type to tell someone off if they caused a scene or a problem. He looked at her and gave her a brief smile, "You didn't have to do it."

"I have to.", she spoke firmly yet kindly, "What he did was not okay. He could off let us figure it out on our own."

Gordon agreed as he doesn't like it when people are making the scene big. He sighed and said, "I wish I-I…"

But before he could continue, he then kept his mouth shut and he realised he was going to confess something to Rebecca. Rebecca could see his expression, "What is it?", she asked.

Gordon blushed as he looked at her with wide eyes. There, he saw Rebecca gave him a worried look as she placed her hand on his lap. He knew that Rebecca doesn't like lies, yet he felt ashamed of telling the truth. So, he thought for a moment until he took a deep breath as he mustered up the courage, "Rebecca… I know it sounds stupid, but I know you wanted me to kiss you but… I'll felt embarrassed and scared…", he sighed sadly as he thought Rebecca would laugh at him or get angry at him.

To his surprise, Rebecca gave him a gentle smile, "Now that explains everything.", she replied, "There's nothing to be ashamed about. I know we have been together for a while, but I'll admit, I always knew by my gut that you were nervous whenever I wanted a kiss from you."

Gordon was surprised to hear this. He was glad that his girlfriend didn't judge him and that she understood him very well. He then slowly but surely gave her a genuine smile as he felt thankful. Rebecca looked at him and smiled back. However, as they gazed each other with pure love, they both noticed something dangling over the head. They looked up and their surprise, there was the mistletoe that looked like the one in the lounge room, but it was hanging from the patio rocking chair roof.

Gordon and Rebecca looked at each other, but this time, Gordon didn't feel as nervous or embarrassed as not only Rebecca helped him, but there was no else there. It was just him and Rebecca. There, Gordon took a deep breath as he placed his left hand under Rebecca's chin. She blushed in a deep shade of pink as she surprised by his move. Gordon then smiled and said, "I love you, Rebecca."

"I love you too, Gordon.", she replied as the two leaned in.

Once their face was a mere inch, Gordon took his courage and placed his lips gently against hers. He blushed at first, but then the blush died down as the two kissed slowly and gently. Gordon couldn't believe it. He never expected to have the encourage to kiss his girl. Rebecca didn't expect this as well, but the two didn't care as they felt like they were in their own world as their kiss went from gentle to tender.

After a few minutes of kissing, they both stopped as they looked at each other with pure love, "Merry Christmas Gordon.", Rebecca smiled.

"Merry Christmas to you too.", Gordon replied as they went for another round for a kiss.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Now this fanfiction was an art trade/fanfiction trade to a wonderful user on Twitter name LadyGreatWestern, and it wasn't the first time. I did this because she and I felt generous enough to do it again.

Also, keep in mind that this another AU as I ship Gordon with the canon Rebecca so please don't get confused with it. I'll admit I enjoy doing this for her, and I do recommend at looking at her lovely artworks for TTTE and other stuff!

Anyways... I hope you guys enjoyed it and I hope you love it, LadyGreatWestern!
