Chapter 3: The Calm Before The Storm

Celebi soon came too as she woke up inside a cage. It was a rather small cage, not giving her much leg room. The cage appeared to be made of pure Iron. But that wasn't what was peculiar about it. There was a force field around the cage. She tried to use her powers to warp of the cage... But she couldn't. No matter how hard she tried, her powers weren't working.

I don't understand! Why aren't my powers working. I know they are wonky at the minute but they should be able to work. She then took notice of the mysterious force field around the cage. Maybe this strange twisted magic is to blame. She tried to come up with a good conclusion to her problem when she noticed a very big machine near her.

There were two pokeballs hooked up to a nearly filled up energy tank, with a blueish purple liquid on the inside. What could that be?

Before she had time to ponder this thought, three men walked in the main door entry. From the looks of it, it would appear she is situated on top of a roof. At least considering the light amount of wind. One of these men had a lab coat on with glasses, obviously a scientist. The other two looked 'stiched up' one had a robotic eye, and the other had huge veins popping out of his face. Who are they?

The scientist presented the huge machine. "Ta-da! I moved the Paraclock up here! Do i get my well deserved raise?"

Zek scratched his beard for a minute. "I'll consider it. Moving a heavy sophisticated machine like this takes more than just grunt work."

"Thank you, master." The Scientist ran into the building while the observing Celebi was spectating. Master? What type of place did i get myself into.

Zek pressed a few buttons on the machine. "We have enough necessary energy to begin. The Powers of Dialga and Palkia have granted us the ability to reset everything!" He walked over to the activation lever. While it was mostly silver, it's handle glowed a bright red. "And that Celebi will watch the destruction of time and space." He pointed towards the cage with the, now terrified, Celebi. "Torturing Pokemon is our motto after all. Whether it's physical or mental."

Oh no. This is bad! What type of mad men would capture the time and space lords themselves?!

Zek turned to his business partner. "Ready Silas?"

Silas took a few steps back from the machine. "More ready than i'll ever be."

Zek pulled down the lever and at first, nothing really happened. But soon, the machine started to shake violently. The ground around them also started to shake. It was very akin to a magnitude 10. The machine shot a beam of light into the air. After a minute or so, the light fell on the ground around Zek and Silas. A blue colored portal opened up, showing a spiral leading downward.

Zek's smirk grew even bigger. "It worked! Now we can travel through time!" All thanks to the paraclock."

The machine still was shaking violently. A little more aggressive than before. Silas took some more steps back. "What's happening to the machine!?"

Zek was quite confounded. "I don't understand. We had the best math meticians figure out that the power levels wouldn't be too high. Yet it appears..." The machine shot more beams of light. And quite rapidly at that. The beams of light were hitting various parts of Unova. And opening new portals at a rapid pace. Celebi was quite upset, angry, and scared. She was aware of Dialga's power; he can time travel. She inherited the ability from him. And with great power comes great responsibility. Power that shouldn't be left in the wrong hands.

Silas was now quite the distance away from the, now crazy, machine. "Sir. We need to retreat. Otherwise, we might get hit by the light beams!"

"We can handle this Silas! The energy tank is almost empty anyways." Both of the resistance balls rolled off the machine. And they kept going and going and going... Into the first big portal that appeared. Silas took notice of this.

"Sir! The Pokemon!"

Zek looked over into the portal. "We need to get the Pokemon back. And quickly! Before someone else finds them." With a nod, Zek and Silas jumped into the portal. Meanwhile Celebi was still caged.

Crap. They are trying to retrieve those strange pokeballs. If only i was let out of here, I would chase after them. As if Arceus answered her prayers, a beam of light from the machine zapped the cage with great force. The cage exploded with Celebi remaining relatively unharmed. Well that was convenient. She eyed the portal the two villains jumped into. It did look like a never ending hole. Once you jump, it would appear you would keep falling and falling. But she had to jump in. To save Dialga and Palkia. And possibly the world.

Here goes nothing.

She jumped in, waiting to see what lied ahead for her.

It was another day for the group of Unova Pokemon. It was Tepig's turn to go fetch the food, so Snivy and Oshawott were chilling outside their little 'house.' Oshawott was a little nervous talking to Snivy given how close they were. But the training he was doing did wonders to his confidence. He was able to start conversations with her without stuttering as much. And without getting as nervous.

Normally Oshawott breaks the silence between them. But this time around Snivy did. "Hey Oshawott?"

The otter turned to Snivy. "Yeah. What's up?"

"I thought about your story yesterday." This caught Oshawott's attention. "And I'm sorry if Tepig said that he didn't believe you. Cause I do. After all, you always end up telling the most crazy unbelievable stories, even if these stories are real."

Oshawott laughed nervously and had a very small blush on his face. "Yeah... Um... Y-you know. I'm-m quite the story teller." Despite him being nervous, Snivy didn't mind. But she always did have a fondness for the otters attitude. She always found it 'cute' but for some reason, she never figured out why she likes him like that. She never was the emotional type of Pokemon. So she doesn't know what to think about that.

The two saw Tepig running quickly back to the base they established. Tepig had a wooden basket balancing on his back filled with various berries. "Alright guys! Time to dig in!" He lowered the basket on the grass. "But I get dibs on the razz berries."

Snivy shook her head and sighed. "Of course you would do that. Whatever."

As they started to split the berries, Oshawott noticed something bright out of the corner of his eye. "Hey guys? Do you see that streak of light that's getting brighter and brighter."

The others looked up and noticed that there was, indeed, a bright light approaching them. While Tepig was slightly mesmerized by it, Snivy immediately tackled the other two out of the way. "Guys! Duck!" She managed to move them out of the way... Just in time when the beam of light hit the ground, causing a massive shockwave. The impact took out several trees and there was a huge dust cloud around the explosion.

Once the dust subsided, the trio looked at what was in front of them; a massive portal. It had a spiral effect going straight down and was tinted a light blue. Oshawott recognized what this was. "This is one of the portals that Celebi appeared from!"

Tepig scoffed at that comment. "As if! I highly doubt it. This could be completely unrelated to Celebi."

Snivy shook her head at what Tepig said. "Well I still believe Oshawott. This could be a portal that transports you through space and time. But what could one of these portals be doing here? And how did this happen?"

While they thought about these questions, there was a tree that was close to toppling down. The impact did a lot of damage to the tree, but surely it wasn't enough for it to fall. Well, gravity took over and it was starting to fall... On Snivy!

"Snivy! Watch out!" Oshawott 'returned the favor' and pushed Snivy out of the way. So Oshawott endured the impact. However Snivy got pushed a little too hard... Straight into the portal!

Tepig looked down and felt a bit of panic within him. "Oh no!" He burned the tree that was on top of Oshawott with a ember.

"Thanks Tepig."

"There's no time for thanks. Snivy fell in!"

"WHAT!" Oshawott didn't mean for the grass snake to fall into the portal. All he wanted to do was get Snivy out of harms way. He succeeded by pushing her away from the impact. But she got put in a situation way worse than getting hit by a tree. This portal could lead her anywhere. Anytime. Assuming it really did mean time travel. All Oshawott did was do another mistake. But he wasn't going to let that get him down. He used to get sad at the mistakes he made before. But now he knows that the only way to get past them is to learn from them.

"We have to jump."

Tepig's eyes nearly flew out of their sockets. "What! Are you crazy! I get that's she's our friend but jumping into danger is never a good course of action!"

"I Understand it looks dangerous. But it's kind of my fault for having her fall into the void. We couldn't even hear her screams." Oshawott started to form some tears. "It's all my fault. And I need to make it right." He wiped the tears away from his eyelids. "Please Tepig. Join me as we save her."

Despite how scared Tepig was, he did have to admit the otter had a point. Snivy was their friend and jumping down to save her would be the right thing to do. "Alright buddy. Let's do it."

Oshawott nodded slowly. "Okay..." He then pushed Tepig into the swirling portal. "But you go first!"

"AAAAHHHH!" Tepig fell into the void with Oshawott following after him.

The descent downwards felt very weird. It was like one big optical illusion. The fall was never ending and every where you would look would have the same spiral effect going on. And everything had a light blue color to it.

Oshawott was trying to remain relatively calm. But Tepig was having a freakout. "AHHH! I THINK I'M GOING TO BE SICK!"

Don't worry! I think I see the exit!" Oshawott shouted to hopefully calm Tepig's nerves.

They both kept falling. And falling. And falling. But eventually they entered a blinding light. And they soon saw their destination.
