" Where am I ?"
This is the question was asked by a young, athletic Caucasian male with black hair, green eyes, he is wearing a wore a black shirt, dark blue jeans, and an emerald jacket but the oddest thing he had on him was on his finger which is a green ring.
The green ring is an emerald green ring that has the emblem of a circle forcing two lines apart which is the symbol of the Green Lantern corps.
The black-haired youth looked around his surroundings and his emerald eyes widened as he see he is in a forest of some kind and it doesn't look like the standard humankind.
The forest was large, crowded, and thriving. Its canopy was overshadowed by chestnut, pine, and redwood, who allowed adequate light to pass down for dispersed saplings to spread in the insect riddled soils below. Quiet vines grasped many trees, and an array of flowers, which grew dispersed and sparingly, clashed with the otherwise emerald view.
The youth heard a tumult of beastly noises, most belonged to prowling animals, echoed in the air, and were in harmony with the occasional splashes of animals jumping in the nearby lake. The youth tore off a branch off a tree and he held it like a weapon as he heard rustling.
The youth see a creature about the size of a tiger, has four legs, but they have no tail.
They have thin, rough skin covered in thin, coarse hairs which are usually either red or light grey or a combination of these colors. The creature have small, slanted eyes, largemouths, teeth, and a short tongue.
The youth shouted," What … the …. Hell !" He looked at the creature in shock and horror on his face.
The creature let out a high-pitched roar making the boy let out a scream then it lunges at the youth causing the youth to roll out of the way. The youth charges at the animal and he gets on the back of the creatures then he takes his branch then he stabbed it in the creatures' head.
The creatures let out a relatively high-pitched scream which sounded like a nail on a chalkboard making the youth jump off the beast. The youth looked at his power ring with a cautious look then he pointed his ring out then a constructed fist punches the creature.
The creature was sent flying to parts unknown leaving the youth alone and he checks his surrounding until he decided to move further into the forest. The youth looked around the forest for any other animals of the is place.
The youth is going through the forest and he sees a village up ahead making him smiled but he squints his eyes to get a closer look at the town. The village itself looks luxuriant. With its blackwood rooftops, granite walls, and huge, majestic geyser.
The youth made his way towards the village but he see something that horrified him as he saw an army attacking the villages. The youth see the army is wearing armor has a squared helm with a faceguard shaped in the face of an angel. Attached to the forehead area is a wide, wing-like ornament piece. The shoulders are rounded, very long, and enormous. They're decorated with a masterfully crafted metal face on each side, one side has a crying emotion while the other is smiling. The upper arms are protected by rounded, fully covering rerebraces which sit nicely under the shoulder plates. The lower arms are covered by vambraces which have a layer of chainmail covering the outer sides. The breastplate is made from one large piece of metal but crafted to mimic the appearance of muscles. It covers everything from the neck down and ending at the groin. The upper legs are covered by rounded, fully covering cuisses. The lower legs are protected by greaves which have a dagger attached on the outer sides.
The youth see they are using blades that are very short, narrow, warped blade made of silver is held by a grip wrapped in rare, onyx salmon leather.
With a point as sharp as a razor this weapon is the ideal choice to turn your enemies into Swiss cheese. The blade has a thin, slightly curved cross-guard, just large enough to give the blade the perfect weight balance.
The people they were attacking feline-like humanoid aliens possessing large heads, hands, and feet, as well as pointy ears and were wearing strange clothing, making the youth curious about, but he remembered he have to save the village from the strange army that attacking.
The youth said," Hey! Pick on someone that willing to fight back. He glared at the army who paused in their destruction.
" What in all of creation is that ?"
" I I never sen anything like that before."
" Let Kill it !"
The Youth sticks his power ring out towards the army then he blasted the away with ease then he looked around the village to see he has the residents eyes on him making the youth see that the people are feline-like humanoid aliens possessing large heads, hands, and feet, as well as pointy ears.
One step out of the crowd and it's a female feline with yellow hair and blue eyes wearing a dress is now a vile collection of pieces of dirty fabric, grime, and muck, it barely manages to hang from her shoulders like a discarded old towel.
A big chunk of fabric has been torn from the left side and there are holes and tears all over, leaving much of her exposure to the elements.
She's wearing a ripped poncho over her dress. It's a nasty mess of stains and dirt, but at least it helps her fight the elements, even if only for a little.
Her pants aren't looking great either. Holes everywhere and the legs have been shortened by wear and tear. But at least she has shoes to protect her feet. Although they're ragged, a little too big and the left toebox has come loose from the sole.
She wears a small scarf around her neck and has it wrapped around her face to just below the eyes. It's worn out, but still holding head is covered by a beanie, there's a hole in the top, but that's pretty much its only flaw.
The alien asked," Who and what are you ?" She spoke in a female teenager's voice as she looked at the black-haired youth.
The youth said," My name is David Green and call you to tell me where I am ?" David looked around his surroundings.
Note: Here is the first chapter of the Green Lantern story that apart from my upcoming DC Comic Heroes projects.
