Mid-World had never seen such bustling activity. Those who had competed within the tournament between worlds had been seen, as have their friends that also inhabited their worlds. It was an odd sight to see, but a wonderful sight as well. Tanjiro had only recently joined this world, and others have wondered if it was possible for other worlds to interact with them as well. The excitement was always in the air.
Tanjiro, Asuka, Yumi and Naoto were hanging out again together. The two couples had never been this happy before, using this time to take a break from all the fighting they were doing, until they had received a message. Naoto read it, and it told them that they were to meet up at the Orient Town Chinese Restaurant, as it turns out that Noel and the other inhabitants from her world had finally shown up. Excited to see some more of their old friends again (and in Tanjiro and Asuka's cases, make new friends), they quickly made their way to the place, where several others had gathered as well. Inside, they saw many familiar faces.
There was plenty of greeting and Tanjiro and Asuka introduced themselves as the newcomers to the group. They all noticed that Noel was actually wearing a nun outfit instead of her normal clothes, but that wasn't the important part. Looking around, a certain white haired, red coated, Grim Reaper was missing. Several of them asked where Ragna the Bloodedge was, while Tanjiro and Asuka looked confused (especially since the name sounded almost demonic to Tanjiro). At that name however, several of those from Ragna's world had sad and downtrodden expressions. Rachel stood up and cleared her throat, saying that there was a lot for them to explain.
For Tanjiro and Asuka, she explained to them just who Ragna was. After a quick rundown for them, she then began to explain to everyone else just what had happened after the Phantom Field Incident. Naoto and some of the others would pitch in with their own sides of the story whenever it was necessary, which caused some of the others to wonder why Naoto hadn't brought it up at all, despite knowing about it.
To say everyone was shocked when Rachel told them that Ragna was the Central Fiction who had to make the ultimate sacrifice for everyone would be an understatement. Ruby felt like crying, remembering the man who was almost like a big brother to her. Yu and Hyde were saddened, as Ragna was someone they looked up to and respected despite what his appearance may imply. Mitsuru, Akihiko, Aigis and Labrys (who had learned of his fate) had found a similarity to Ragna's sacrifice to a certain someone from the Shadow Operatives's past as SEES (who resembled Ragna in some ways, but was otherwise a completely different person). Linne was impressed at how Ragna had managed to succeed in his goal, despite the endgame resulting in his passing. It was not unlike her own quest. Orie and Weiss were a bit more conflicted, considering their last meeting with Ragna had them accusing him of being a criminal, though the stories Hyde and Ruby told them caused them to think differently about their opinion on him. While everyone else was sad, Tanjiro and Asuka were more in awe as they had never met Ragna, but knew that he was a great person to sacrifice himself for everyone else's sake. After hearing the story, everyone understood most of it, except for one part that was nagging away at them; Velvet Crowe.
Rachel and the others went on to explain just who Velvet Crowe was. The girl was a dear friend of Ragna's from another world who had met with Ragna within his dreams. What was interesting was that they were both two very similar individuals in many ways, that they believed that was the cause of their bond being created. This caused Tanjiro and Asuka's eyes to widen, as some of the others looked at them. To think that what they believed was a circumstance unique them, yet it turns out that they weren't the first ones to share this special connection. When they revealed this information to them, everyone from Ragna's world were all surprised at how Tanjiro and Asuka had gone through the same situation as Ragna and Velvet, but put that to the side at the moment to continue the story.
After Ragna had erased himself, and Velvet had sealed herself away, the two of them were brought back to life in another world where they could have a second chance at life, free from suffering. The two of them had gotten married and actually had six kids together. This information blew everyone away. Not just the idea of Ragna the Bloodedge being a husband, but being a father to six children.
Someone then asked how Ragna's friends remembered him if he had erased their memories. Rachel explained that a strange man who was passing through had brought them together with Velvet's friends. He had power comparable far more powerful than an onlooker, and called himself Decade. He restored their memories of Ragna, and then showed them his fate, giving them all a sense of closure. Knowing that Ragna was alive and happy with his new life let them move on with their own lives.
This brought smiles to everyone, knowing that Ragna had gone through many hardships in his life, and that he deserved his happy ending. Several of them found his story inspiring, as did Tanjiro and Asuka, with both of them vowing to keep an unbreakable will like Ragna, to honor his actions despite never having met him personally. Ragna's influence and story was just that influential to them, especially Tanjiro.
They all decided to have dinner together at the restaurant, since they were all already gathered there. They made a toast.
To Ragna the Bloodedge, wishing for his peaceful life and happiness to last for a long, long time.
And while they didn't know it, Ragna himself wished them all the best as well.
