"Well then, who, sir, is about to relieve you of your magic box?" Robin Hood taunted, drawing his sword.

The Doctor joined Robin on the tree bridge across the stream. "Nobody, sir. Not in this universe or the next."

"Well then, draw your sword and prove your words."

"I have no sword. I don't need a sword," the Doctor said, rising smoothly off the ground and drifting stiffly toward Robin. He floated menacingly above Robin Hood. "Because I am the Doctor." He suddenly dropped to the ground, producing a spoon from inside his coat. "And this is my spoon. En garde!"

The Doctor polished his spoon after winning the sword fight with Robin Hood. "Like I said. My box."

"Doctor?" Clara said with a tone of worry.

The Doctor looked into the water where he'd knocked Robin. The rogue hadn't resurfaced. The Doctor floated off the tree bridge down to the water, slightly concerned.

Something splashed out of the water behind him and grabbed him, pulling him into the shallow water. Robin let go and he and Clara laughed infuriatingly.

"Guards, I cannot remain in this cell. Execute me now," the Doctor complained.

"You heard him. Execute the old fool," Robin said.

"No, hang on. Execute him," the Doctor said.

"I do not fear death, so execute away."

"Really?" The Doctor's short fuse ran out and he jumped into the air, the chains floating around him and pulling Clara and Robin toward him. "Maybe I'll execute you myself," the Doctor said, making the chains slowly roll toward Robin's neck, "I'd like to see if your head keeps laughing when I've strangled it off."

Robin Hood wore a cheery expression after only a flash of bewilderment and fear. "Oh, Robin Hood always laughs in the face of death."

The Doctor caressed Robin's neck with the chains, deliberately trying to scare him. "Yes, rolling around on the floor laughing, I would pay good money to see that."

"Guard!" Robin shouted.

"Guard!" the Doctor shouted, letting the chains return to his sides, not getting the satisfaction of seeing Robin cower.

They both shouted for the guard, competing to see who could make the guard come.

"The Sheriff himself commanded me to listen, to find out which of you is the true ringleader," the toothless guard said.

"Ah, so he can do the interrogating. Very wise," the Doctor said.

"Excellent. He will get nothing from me," Robin said.

"No, no, no, no. no," the Doctor argued, "He will get nothing from me, because interrogation, that's where I always turn the tables. You see, that's my plan."

"Just hurry up and take me to him," Robin said.

"No, no, chop-chop, come on," the Doctor said.

The guard unfastened Clara's chains.

"Seriously," Clara said.

"Come on," the guard grunted.

"No," the Doctor said, stunned.

"What are you doing?" Robin Hood demanded.

The Doctor suddenly remembered he could control the chains and thrust Clara's end at the guard, but the chains were too short and the guard was just out of reach. "Don't be ridiculous!"

The door slammed behind Clara and the guard and the lock clicked.

After knocking the guard out and accidentally kicking the keys down the drain, the Doctor stood on the air and pulled the chains as hard as he could. He pulled the chains and made every link pull itself. Robin grabbed his side of the chains and joined pulling. They grunted and groaned with the effort. The Doctor felt the block begin to slide loose. He pushed against the air and pulled as hard as he could. The block slid out and fell on its side with a bang. The Doctor floated it into the air and thrust it at Robin as he floated out the door.

Robin grunted with the weight as he caught it and jogged to catch up with the Doctor. "Why should I carry it? It's hard work for me. For you it's weightless." Robin tossed it at the Doctor and he quickly caught it out of the air, gritting his teeth, and floated it in front of him.

"It's hard work for me too! My mind has to work hard to keep it in the air." The Doctor thrust it back at Robin and he caught it, grumbling.

"Well, now what?" Robin asked.

"First, a blacksmith's forge."

Robin Hood grabbed Clara around the waist from behind and pulled her toward a window.

"What are you doing?" Clara asked nervously.

"Surviving," Robin answered.

"No!" Clara shouted as Robin leaned backwards and fell, taking her with him.

"No! Clara!" the Doctor shouted, flying toward them.

A robot knight grabbed his ankle and jerked him to a stop.

The Doctor's fury pulled the knight into the air after him. "Never touch me!" he growled, and threw the knight against the wall.

It staggered and collapsed. The Doctor floated to the window and looked down at the rippling water and the moon reflecting on its surface.
