Chapter 8

(D.E.O.)

"You have news about Reign?" Kara asked, as she walked over to where Barry, Conner, J'onn, Winn, Mon-El, and Imra were gathered.

"Coville told you he met a dying priestess who escaped from Fort Rozz," J'onn said. "She told him everything about Reign."

"Well, we combed the manifests of Fort Rozz and found there are exactly two priestesses on board," Winn added. "One being..." He swiped the screen of his tablet and an image of a woman who appeared to be in her sixties appeared on the large screen on the wall.

"Jindah Kol Rozz," Kara saw the name next to the woman's picture. "Fort Rozz was named after her."

"Yep, and on the manifest, she actually has the exact same glyph as Reign," Winn said.

"Does anyone know where she is now?" Barry asked.

"We believe that in all the time Fort Rozz was marooned here on earth, she never got out," J'onn answered.

"Uh, there's a small problem," Kara said. "I kind of threw Fort Rozz into space, remember?"

"That's what we thought," J'onn said.

"But then we found it orbiting a little star called AZ336XB12," Winn said, as he swiped the tablet again and a bright blue circle surrounded by several rings appeared on the screen.

"Did you say AZ336XB12?" Imra asked.

"Problem?" J'onn asked.

"Yeah, that's a blue star," Mon-El answered.

"I won't have my powers there," Kara said. "There's no yellow sun."

Conner frowned. "Wait, blue stars take away your powers? That's not the case with the blue stars I'm familiar with. They make us twice as powerful."

"Maybe in your universe, but not here," Kara said.

"Blue stars also emit omicron radiation, which means it's fatal for any life form with a Y chromosome," Imra explained.

"It's poisonous to men?" J'onn asked incredulously, as he, Barry, and Conner frowned.

"I guess none of us will be able to go," Barry said, indicating all the men in the room.

"I guess I have to go alone," Kara sighed.

"Absolutely not," J'onn protested. "I will not allow you to go up there by yourself. Not without your powers."

"Me neither," Imra added. "I'll go with you."

"No, no, I would not ask you to do that," Kara said.

"You're not asking, I'm offering," Imra said.

"Kara, we fought some tough escapees on Earth," J'onn reminded her. "What's left on that fort are the worst of the worst. You two can't handle this on your own."

"J'onn's right," Barry added. "If you're gonna do this, you're gonna need more help."

"I know someone I can talk to," Kara said.

(Later)

Kara returned to the D.E.O. accompanied by Leslie Willis aka Livewire.

"Uh, FYI, not everyone here is on board with you coming along," Kara warned.

"Screw 'em," Livewire said, before noticing Mon-El. 'Cosplay! I remember you. You tried to save my life."

"Yeah, I remember succeeding," Mon-El replied.

Livewire also noticed Barry, who now had the cowl of his Flash suit on. "I remember you too, Scarlet."

"Kinda hard to forget," Barry replied.

"Hey, Leslie, you remember me?" Winn asked. "I used to fix your computer at CatCo."

Livewire regarded him for a moment. "No."

"Prisoner arrived," one of the two armed guards who were escorting Psi into the headquarters announced. Psi was wearing a power dampener on her head.

"Thanks for agreeing to join us," Kara said.

"Reign's going after people like me," Psi replied. "I don't wanna get killed by that psycho when I finally break out of this place." She then glared at Livewire. "Do you have a problem?"

"Ninety-nine, but you ain't one," Livewire remarked.

"Supergirl, can I talk to you for a second?" Barry asked, and Kara nodded before they headed off to the side. "I can understand you recruiting Livewire since you two have a history like Snart and I did. But Psi, from what you told me about her..."

"I know, I know," Kara said. "But she's very powerful. I mean, she beat J'onn in a psychic duel. She overpowered me more than once."

"Which is exactly what I'm worried about," Barry said.

Kara glanced over at the two women in question. "I'm a little worried too, to be honest, but if we're gonna win this thing, we have to take risks, and this feels like a risk worth taking."

"I get what you're saying, I do, but we need to cover all bases," Barry said.

"What do you wanna do?" Kara asked.

"Get your extrapolator," Barry said. "We're gonna get more people."

"All right," Kara nodded, before flying out of the D.E.O. to her apartment.

Barry walked to Conner. "Hey, we're gonna get Caitlin's frosty roommate's help from my Earth and I'm thinking we should also get some people from yours. You don't mind coming with us, do you?"

Conner nodded. "No, not at all."

There was a whooshing sound as Kara returned with the extrapolator and descended next to Barry. "Got the extrapolator." She looked at Barry and Conner. "Whose Earth are we going to first?"

"Mine," Barry answered. "We get Caitlin, and then we go to Earth-21 to ask any female heroes there for help."

"Okay," Kara nodded, as she opened a breach with her extrapolator. She turned to J'onn. "We'll be right back. We're gonna get some more allies."

"Considering that you're recruiting Livewire and Psi for this mission, I'd feel a lot more comfortable with that," J'onn said. "We'll keep an eye on them until you get back."

Kara nodded before she, Barry, and Conner entered the breach before it closed.

Earth-21

(Watchtower, Metropolis)

Clark Kent in his Superman suit, Lois Lane, Chloe Sullivan, Oliver Queen in his Green Arrow gear with the hood down, Bart Allen in his Flash suit minus the domino mask, John Jones in his human form, Kara Kent in her red and blue suit, and Tess Mercer in her human form were gathered around the conference table discussing plans to expand the Watchtower outpost on the moon with individual rooms for each League member and potentially make it their primary base of operations.

Then, a crackling sound suddenly got everyone's attention as they turned to see a breach opening in the middle of the room. Everyone stood up, staring at the breach warily as they prepared to confront whoever was arriving. Out of the breach emerged four figures, one of them they instantly recognized as Conner Kent aka Superboy. With Conner was a man in a red suit that Clark, Ollie, Bart, and Chloe recognized as Barry Allen aka The Flash from Earth-1, a blonde woman in a blue and red suit with a very familiar symbol on her chest that Clark, Ollie, and Bart recognized as Kara Danvers aka Supergirl from Earth-38, and a woman with white hair, pale skin, icy blue eyes, and dark blue lips who seemed familiar to Clark and Ollie but they couldn't place who she was.

"Kon-El," John Jones called out in surprise.

"And it's you guys again," Ollie said, looking at Barry and Kara D.

"Hey, guys," Barry waved politely to those from Earth-21.

"How's it going, amigo? I was wondering if I'd ever run into my fellow Flash again," Bart said.

"It's good to see you again, Bart, but we do need to make this visit very quick," Barry said.

"Kara?" Conner said in surprise, as he noticed Kara K. "When did you... What are you doing here?"

"I've moved back here, Kon-El," Kara K said. "I'm no longer living in the 31st century."

"Oh," Conner nodded, still surprised. "Good to see you, Kara."

"Same to you, little cousin," Kara K said.

Kara D looked at Kara K in disbelief. "Wait, are you me by any chance? The Kara Zor-El from this Earth?"

"It's pronounced Care-rah, but yes, I'm Kara Zor-El," Kara K answered. "You must be the doppelganger of mine that Kal-El told me about."

"Well, I've met your Kal a couple of times already, so I guess that would be me," Kara D said. "Kara Danvers."

"Kara Kent, nice to meet you," Kara K said, as the two shook hands.

"I have to say, your grip is pretty firm even for me," Kara D commented on the strength in Kara K's hand. "Guess you're the stronger one of us." She frowned as she regarded Kara K's face. "Don't take this the wrong way, but you look like a supervillain I fought back in my first year as Supergirl, only she was blue."

"Really?"

"Yeah, it's strange."

"I'm sorry if I remind you of one of your enemies," Kara K apologized.

"No, no, it's okay, you're not her," Kara D said, with understanding. "And given that you're more or less another me, I'm sure that I could trust you."

Both Karas chuckled at that.

"You can't always trust another version of yourself," Barry said to Kara D as he thought of Savitar.

"I like your suit by the way," Kara D commented on her counterpart's suit. "I was thinking of ditching the skirt myself and going for some pants."

"You should," Kara K said. "Not only are pants much more practical compared to a skirt, but people will take you a lot more seriously as a superhero."

"She's not wrong you know," Lois said to Kara D. "In that cheerleader get up, you're bound to draw attention from certain people."

"You certainly drew some from me when we first met, gorgeous," Bart remarked, as Clark, Ollie, and Chloe rolled their eyes.

"See what I mean?" Lois said. As Kara D stared at her in shock, Lois then said, "Okay, look, I wasn't saying that to offend you or anything. It's just a little constructive criticism from one person to another."

"No, it's not that, you look... You look so much like my mother," Kara D said, as Lois frowned.

"Really?" Lois asked, as she and everyone else were taken aback.

"Well, you're younger than what she was when I last saw her, but you definitely look like her a lot," Kara D said.

"Your mom must be a real looker then," Lois said.

"I would say so," Kara nodded, with a smile. "Who are you?"

"Lois Lane, Daily Planet," the brunette introduced herself, and Kara D looked surprised.

"And I'm her cousin Chloe Sullivan-Queen," Chloe said to Kara D.

"Who is my wife," Ollie added, putting an arm around Chloe.

"I have a Lois Lane and a Chloe Sullivan who are cousins too," Kara D said.

"Let me guess, mine and Lois' doppelgangers look different too," Chloe said.

"They do," Kara D nodded. Turning to Lois, she asked, "Are you dating Kal like my Earth's Lois?"

"Actually, we're more than dating," Lois replied, holding up her hand as she showed Kara D the golden ring around her finger. "We're married."

"Oh," Kara D said, surprised that this Earth's Clark and Lois were already married while the versions of them she knew had yet to tie the knot. With a smile, she added, "Well, I'm happy for you guys."

"Thanks," Lois said.

"You're welcome," Kara D said, before turning to John Jones. "And you are?"

John shapeshifted into his green-skinned Martian form as Barry, Kara D, and Frost looked at him with dropped jaws. "I am J'onn J'onzz, the sole survivor of Mars." He shapeshifted back into his human form.

"I have you on my Earth also," Kara D said. "Your doppelganger is my mentor."

"That's different," Clark noted. "On this Earth, J'onn was my mentor who was tasked with the job of watching over me and keeping me safe, while he and Kara didn't get along at first."

"It's a long story," Kara K added. "But J'onn and I are good now."

"So what's going on?" Clark asked Kara D, Barry, Conner, and Frost. "I doubt the four of you came here only to chat and compare doppelgangers."

"We're here because Kara needs help on her Earth," Conner answered.

"To be specific, I need the help of some of your female allies," Kara D clarified.

"Female allies?" Clark asked.

"The place I need to go to in order to get intel on a rogue Kryptonian who's been terrorizing my Earth lately is orbiting a blue star, which means I won't have my powers there," Kara D explained.

"Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't blue suns increase the strength of Kryptonians?" Chloe asked. "It's red suns that remove their powers, not blue ones last time I checked."

"Unless, for some reason, blue suns affect Kryptonians differently on this other Earth," Tess suggested.

"Apparently, this star not only takes away Supergirl's powers, but it is also highly toxic to all men," Frost said.

"What?!" Clark, Ollie, Bart, Lois, and Chloe all gasped in disbelief.

"I'm sorry, a star that is highly toxic to all men?" John Jones asked in a tone similar to his Earth-38 counterpart earlier.

"I can't be the only one in the room who finds that absolutely ridiculous, am I?" Lois remarked.

"You're definitely not the only one, Lois," Ollie said.

"If a star like that does exist in this universe, I've never heard of it," Kara K said.

"Neither have I," Clark added. "I'm sure I would've learned about it during my training in the Fortress years ago."

"Well, the universe is a very vast place," John Jones pointed out. "For all we know, there could still be plenty out there that have yet to become aware of."

"Well, let's hope a man-killing star ain't one of them," Bart said.

"This star is the reason I couldn't bring Barry, Conner, and any of the male allies from my Earth with me," Kara D said. "So far we've recruited Caitlin from Barry's Earth," she gestured to Frost, "and three others from my Earth who are waiting as we speak. But there are two of them I'm not sure I can trust and that's why I'm asking for additional help to keep an eye on them in case they stab me in the back."

"What exactly is this place that you need to go to?" Tess asked.

"It's called Fort Rozz," Kara D answered.

Chloe frowned. "Fort what?"

"Fort Rozz, basically an alien version of Alcatraz," Kara D explained. "It contains some of the deadliest aliens in the universe."

"Sounds very similar to the Phantom Zone," Kara K noted.

"I'll accompany you guys," Tess volunteered. She clicked a button on her watch and her synthetic human form instantly transformed into her Red Tornado form. With a smile, Tess added, "Meet Red Tornado."

Kara D stared at Tess in disbelief. "Red Tornado?"

"I take it there's one on your Earth as well," Tess said.

"You could say that," Kara D nodded, shuddering at the memory of destroying the android with her heat vision and temporarily losing her powers as a result. "But you seem a lot friendlier and much more human than the Red Tornado I encountered."

"Long story short, Tess was human before her bastard of a half-brother Lex drove a knife through her abdomen and killed her," Ollie said.

Kara D frowned. "Wait, Lex? As in Lex Luthor?"

"The only and only," Lois said.

"And he's your brother?" Kara D asked Tess.

"Illegitimate brother to be exact," Tess answered. "Although birth name is Lutessa Lena Luthor, I go by Tess Mercer."

"Lena Luthor?" Kara D said in surprise. "I know a Lena Luthor on my Earth who, like you, is Lex's half-sister. She's also my best friend. I'd love to see her reaction to meeting a version of her who is an android."

Tess chuckled. "I bet it would be an interesting conversation."

"I'm coming along too," Kara K also volunteered.

"Hang on, super-blondie, I don't know if you were listening to your doppelganger, but where they're going, you're not gonna have your powers," Ollie reminded her.

"And? I'm aware of that," Kara K said.

"Oliver has a point, Kara, you would be as vulnerable as any human if you take part in this mission," John Jones said.

"I really appreciate the concern, but you guys know me well enough that, powers or no powers, I'm gonna help people at every opportunity I get," Kara K stated. "And don't forget that I survived months in the Phantom Zone of all places and successfully fended off any Zoners who tried to kill me without my powers."

"Okay, I'll give you that," Ollie said.

"You might as well give up now, Ollie," Chloe said. "Once Kara has her mind set on something, you're not changing her mind. Kinda reminds me of several others standing in this room, including the man I married."

Clark turned to his cousin. "I know how stubborn you can be, which is why I'm not even going to try and talk you out of getting involved in this mission. But what I will tell you is to please be careful and make it back safely."

"I'll do my best, Kal-El," Kara K said. "And it's not everyday I get the opportunity to team up with another version of myself."

"Don't worry, Superman, I'll protect your cousin," Tess said, before throwing a glance at Kara D. "Both versions of them."

"I'll have their backs as well," Frost added, as icy mist surrounded her hands for a few moments.

"I know you will," Clark said.

"All right, let's go," Kara D said. She opened a breach with her extrapolator before she, Barry, Conner, Frost, Tess, and Kara K went through it.

Earth-38

(D.E.O.)

Barry, Conner, and Kara D returned to the D.E.O. with Frost, Tess, and Kara K. They were approached by J'onn, who regarded the three visitors.

"Are they the allies you told me you were bringing?" he asked Kara D.

"Yeah," she nodded.

Conner gestured to Tess and Kara K. "J'onn, I'd like you to meet Red Tornado and the Supergirl from my Earth."

"Actually, it's Superwoman now," Kara K corrected.

"Believe it or not, she's a version of me from his Earth," Kara D said to J'onn.

"And you're Red Tornado," J'onn said to Tess, looking at her warily.

"Yes, but you can call me Tess," she replied.

"We've encountered an android just like you a few years ago and it wasn't pleasant," J'onn said. "But if Supergirl trusts you, that's enough for me."

"Understood," Tess nodded.

J'onn turned to Kara D and handed her a small key. "This should unlock Psi's psychic dampener."

"All right," Kara D said, before she, Barry, Conner, Frost, Tess, and Kara K headed over to where Livewire, Psi, Imra, and Mon-El were waiting for them.

"You brought more heroes, huh?" Livewire said, as she noticed Tess, Kara K, and Frost. "I figured you didn't really trust us."

"Can you blame me? I just want to cover all my bases," Kara D said.

Livewire looked at Kara K. "Who are you, Supergirl's long-lost sister or something? At least you don't dress like a high school cheerleader."

Kara D sighed as she looked at Livewire firmly. "It doesn't matter who she is. She's here to help keep an eye on you two."

Livewire then turned to Frost. "What's with the white hair and pale skin? Are you trying to copy my look? Mine is cooler, whoever you are."

"That's debatable," Frost said. "And you can call me Frost."

"Frost? Not as catchy and original as Livewire."

"Are you done?" Kara D asked Livewire in an annoyed tone.

"Ready when you are, cape and skirt," Livewire answered.

"The ship's ready," Imra said to Kara D.

"Remember, the light drive can get a little finicky," Mon-El said to them.

"I know," Imra nodded.

"And if there's a breach, just..."

"Mon-El," Imra cut him off. "I've captained the ship more times than you."

"You guys take care of each other," Barry said to the women. "We'll be here in the meantime."

"We will," Kara D nodded, before Tess, Kara K, Frost, Livewire, and Psi followed her and Imra to the Legion ship.

(Legion ship, outer space)

"Do we have any idea where she could be?" Imra asked about Jindah Kol Rozz, as she, Kara D, Kara K, Tess, and Frost were looking at a hologram of Fort Rozz.

"No, her records didn't say where she was held," Kara D answered. "We'll just have to search, I guess."

"Fort Rozz, that was where your real mother..." Imra said.

"Locked up criminals? Yeah," Kara D nodded. "Let's just say no one there will be welcoming my arrival."

"I know that feeling all too well," Kara K said, remembering her time trapped in the Phantom Zone.

"Good thing you brought us along for this mission," Tess said.

"We definitely got the dream team," Frost quipped.

"Sort of," Kara D said.

Meanwhile, Livewire and Psi were sitting across from each other on the floor bickering when Kara D, Kara K, Imra, Frost, and Tess approached them.

"Hey, let's tone it down here, okay?" Kara D instructed. "We're all here for the same reason, right?" As Psi shot her a glare, Kara D added, "I'll take that as a 'yes'."

"How much longer is this gonna be?" Livewire wondered. "Do we have to get plugged into some kind of space beds so we can sleep until we get there or something?"

"Actually, we're approaching now," Imra stated.

"For real?" Livewire asked incredulously, as she and Psi got up.

"It's a fast ship," Imra said, as she and everyone else looked out the window and saw Fort Rozz not too far from their location. Behind Fort Rozz was the massive bright blue sun.

"So that's this Earth's Kryptonian version of Alcatraz," Tess said.

(Few minutes later)

"Well, according to the reading, we should be securely locked on," Imra stated. "Brainy, can you confirm?"

"Affirmative," Brainy responded.

"Shall we?" Kara D asked Imra, who nodded.

Kara D walked up to Psi, who pointed impatiently at her power dampener. Hesitating for a moment, Kara D sighed and unlocked the dampener, causing the blue light on it to disappear. Psi removed the dampener from her head.

"Supergirl and Superwoman may not have their powers at the moment, but if you make her regret this, you're gonna have me to deal with," Tess warned her. "Understood?"

"Boo," Psi said, sarcastically.

Kara D rolled her eyes. "Let's go."

Suddenly, the ship shook as everyone held on to whatever they could.

"What was that?" Kara K wondered.

"Is everyone okay?" Kara D asked.

"She's looking a little green," Livewire said, pointing to Psi as the other woman shot her a glare.

"Brainy, what was that?" Imra asked.

"The docking of the Legion ship has slightly altered the orbital path of Fort Rozz by .003 AUs," Brainy explained from the D.E.O. "Not to worry, just a bit of turbulence."

"Turbulence," Winn repeated.

"Uh, turbulence is the result of chaotic changes..."

"I know what turbulence is!" Winn snapped.

All right, boys, this is riveting, but we have a prisoner to find," Kara D said in exasperation, before she and the other women headed off.

They exited the ship and approached the entrance to Fort Rozz. Stepping forward, Kara D grabbed the round handle of the door and grunted as she tried to turn it, but the handle wouldn't budge.

"Promising start," Livewire said, sarcastically.

Kara D looked at Imra and Tess, the latter nodding as she walked up. Tess grabbed the handle and turned it effortlessly. The door slid open and they entered the alien prison.

"Space is creepy as..."

"Guys," Kara D interrupted Livewire as they noticed a dead reptilian-like alien on the ground.

"Holy hell," Livewire said.

"I've seen worse," Psi remarked.

"He must've been poisoned by the radiation from the blue star," Kara K said.

"Clearly," Kara D agreed.

"I'm pretty sure these doors are not supposed to be open," Frost announced, as she noticed the prisoner cell doors open.

"Fort Rozz has been floating with limited power for so long the cells must have opened," Kara D said, as she and the others continued on.

(After a while)

"This place is like the Mall of America," Livewire commented, as she, Kara D, Kara K, Imra, Tess, Frost, and Psi were scouring through Fort Rozz. "You can wander around here for days and not find a thing."

"At least the Mall of America isn't as creepy as this place," Frost said.

"Do you smell that?" Psi asked.

"What?" Kara D asked.

"Another dead body of a hideous alien perhaps?" Livewire remarked.

"I smell it," Imra said.

"I'm sensing something nearby," Tess announced.

Suddenly, a dark-skinned female prisoner jumped down from above and attacked Livewire with a silver staff, knocking her against one of the cell doors.

"You, and you!" the prisoner snarled, pointing her staff at both Kara D and Kara K. "You bear the sign of the House of El. How dare you show your face around here?!"

As the prisoner prepared to attack Kara D and Kara K with her staff, Imra telekinetically launched a cell door at the prisoner, while Psi attacked the prisoner with a psychic blast, Livewire unleashed a blast of electricity, and Frost fired a blast of ice at her. Psi moved closer to the prisoner preparing to attack again, but the prisoner whacked her in the head with her staff, knocking Psi to the ground.

Imra rushed over to Psi, who was holding her head in pain. "Are you okay?"

In response, Psi took Imra's hand and attacked the latter with a psychic blast.

The prisoner swung her staff towards Livewire and Frost, but Tess got in the way, snatching the prisoner's staff from her hands and tossing it aside. Tess then fired a blast of air at the prisoner, sending her flying several feet back. Livewire restrained the prisoner with a pair of lightning lassos and Tess punched her in the face, knocking the prisoner out cold.

"Imra," Kara D called out in concern, as she rushed over to the woman, who was sitting on the ground holding both sides of her head with a horrified expression. "Imra," Kara D said again, comforting her. "You're okay. You're okay. It's gonna be okay." She glared at Psi. "Why did you do that to her?"

"I guess you were right about us keeping an eye on them," Kara K said to her counterpart.

(Legion ship)

Kara D had put the power dampener back on Psi's head. As Kara D neared the key to the dampener, Psi glared and grabbed Kara D's wrist. "Is that really necessary?"

"Look, either we can't trust you or you lost control of your powers," Kara D replied. "Bottom line, you're unsafe."

Psi removed her hand from around Kara D's wrist, allowing Kara D to lock the dampener as the blue light came back on.

"So you dragged me all the way up to space for nothing," Psi said.

"Maybe you shouldn't have been so loosey-goosey with your powers on poor Matilda over there," Livewire remarked.

"Are you okay?" Kara K asked Imra.

"Yeah," the latter nodded.

Kara D walked over to Imra. "I know what it feels like when she gets in your head. If you need a minute or two..."

"I'm fine," Imra said.

"It was an accident!" Psi exclaimed.

"Didn't look that way to me," Livewire scoffed.

Psi glared at her. "Do you wanna try this thing on, see what it feels like to have your powers taken away?"

"Get that thing near me and I'm gonna fry you!" Livewire threatened, her hand lighting up with electricity as Psi's glare deepened.

"That's enough!" Tess said firmly, as she stepped between the two women. "The last thing we need right now is you two threatening to kill each other."

"No one's getting fried, no one's getting hurt," Kara D added, glaring at Livewire and Psi. "We have a job to do."

(Legion ship, few minutes later)

Kara D, Kara K, Tess, Imra, Frost, Livewire, and Psi entered the room where the Fort Rozz prisoner from earlier was now restrained to a chair. She growled at the sight of Kara D and Kara K.

"We're looking for Jindah Kol Rozz, she has information we need," Kara D demanded.

"You're a bunch of fools," the prisoner sneered.

"She's not wrong," Livewire agreed.

"You're not helping," Frost said.

"Xitheria," the prisoner stated.

"Who is that?" Kara K asked.

"The last one who ever went to try and find Jindah," the prisoner explained. "Xitheria was a brutal criminal, but she had softened. She wanted Jindah to join us. We never did see her again, but we heard her screams." Kara D's, Kara K's, Imra's, and even Frost's blood ran cold, while Tess, despite her body lacking any blood, had a similar reaction. "You wanna risk your life, you be my guest. Jindah is in the Dendara Corridor. Beyond the dark fog. Good luck."

Suddenly, the ship shook again as the seven women held on to whatever they could. The alarm started beeping.

"Imra, we have a small emergency here," Brainy announced.

The women headed back into the cockpit. "Brainy, are you there?" Imra asked.

"A solar flare has critically..." Brainy started, but there was static and the transmission cut off.

"Did we lose him?" Kara D asked.

"Lovely," Livewire remarked.

"Communication with the D.E.O. was reliant on our orbital path," Imra stated, as she approached the console and starting typing several buttons.

"I heard something about a solar flare," Kara K said, right before the ship shook again.

"You have got to be kidding me!" Psi snarled.

"Fort Rozz has been hit by a solar flare," Imra stated.

"That's not good at all," Tess said.

"It's been knocked out of orbit, and it's pulling us with it," Imra continued.

"Pulling us? Pulling us where?" Kara D and Kara K asked in unison. The others would've laughed at them if not for the grim predicament they were in.

"We're falling into the star," Tess realized, as she and the other women paled.

"Vessel temperature rising," the ship's automated female voice announced. "Twenty degrees to critical overheating."

"I hate space," Livewire groaned.

"That makes two of us," Frost agreed.

"We need to get out of here," Psi insisted. "Detach from this monstrosity of a prison and let's go back to Earth!"

"The docking port's jammed," Imra said.

"So we're stuck here?" Kara K asked, worried not for her own life but how Kal-El would react if she died and he found out about it.

"So how long before we meet our fiery maker?" Livewire asked.

"One hour, maybe two," Imra answered.

"So we have time," Kara D said. "We still have a job to do. So let's find Jindah. Tess, you and Imra stay here and reestablish communications with the D.E.O. Psi will stay with you two."

"What use am I here?!" Psi snapped.

"Too much could go wrong if you lose control of your powers out there so find a way to be useful here," Kara D said. She then turned to Imra, handing her the key to Psi's power dampener. "And if anyone attacks the ship, cut her loose if you have to."

"Copy that," Imra said.

"Leslie, Superwoman, Frost, let's go," Kara D said.

"I really hate when you call me that," Livewire grumbled, as she, Kara K, and Frost followed Kara D out of the ship.

The rewrite for this episode ended up being longer than expected, so I decided to split it into two chapters.

While the idea of blue stars being poisonous to men on Earth-38 was beyond cringeworthy in the actual episode, hopefully I took advantage of that plot point enough with the opportunity of adding more allies to help Kara D on Fort Rozz, and also having the Kara Kent/Kara Danvers meeting finally happen.
