It's a lovely, sunny morning in Death City. Well, as sunny as a morning can feel when you live in a city with such a name.
Dressed in black, the Kid is strolling on the streets, casually, with his hands in his pockets and that sophisticated, seemingly collected and nonchalant expression on his face. And I say seemingly because, normally, a person with obsessive compulsive disorder is far from nonchalant.
By either of his sides, his two trustworthy female henchmen are walking: Liz and Patty, Patty and Liz. Dressed in their usual outfits: cowgirl hats, red crop tops, black footwear and dark jeans (Patty's jeans are short, whereas Lizes jeans are long).
Suddenly, the Kid lets out an inarticulate scream, clutches his temples and falls on his knees. 'I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!' he hollers, with passers by gasping and coming to halts.
Liz is just looking at him with her arms crossed and a blank expression on her beautiful face, having grown pretty used to those panic attacks of her master by now. Patty closes her eyes, places her hand on her mouth, slightly leans forward and giggles in a cute fashion.
'What is it this time?' Liz asks indifferently. 'You just remembered that you counted all seeds in the coffee vase this morning and the result was not a round number?'
'No,' the Kid answers, breathing heavily. 'Something worse has just occurred to me. Something I cannot figure out, no matter how hard I try.'
'Which is?' Liz sighs boredly, sure she's going to regret asking.
The Kid stands up, turns around and points towards his two girls, in a distraught state. 'One time, you two told me that you always carry sleeping powder with you,' he begins developing his thought. (Note: They told him that in the manga, Chapter 55.)
'Yeah. So?' Liz shrugs while her sister bats her eyes and scratches her head curiously.
'So,' the Kid continues, 'where exactly do you keep this powder when you carry it? I mean, most of the time, you go around lightly dressed in those revealing outfits that cause male mortals to drool for whatever reason. And (at this point, he gropes them a little, to Lizes mild annoyance while Patty doesn't seem to mind) your jeans don't seem to have any pockets. Furthermore, as I saw when the spirit of that pharaoh undressed you (anime episode 3, manga prologue 3), you don't hide anything in your hats or underneath your crop tops or in your panties. SO WHERE THE HELL DO YOU KEEP IT?'
The Kid falls on his knees anew and sobs in agony, 'This is against logic. You take part in so many battles everyday, you perform somersaults, fall off cliffs and all. And yet you somehow manage to hold onto something one would expect you to lose track of amid all that action. MY BRAIN HURTS!'
The two girls exchange meaningful looks.
'I'm no longer sure whether that boy has OCD or just too much free time,' Liz comments with a sigh.
'Big time, sis!' Patty adds.
