Meeting Alisria
I don't own Star Wars Rebels or anything else from the Star Wars franchise! I only own Alisria!
Seven year old Alisria wandered the streets of her home planet, Alderaan. The Empire had a good deal of control over her home and had killed her parents in front of her only two years ago. She'd ran and had been living on the streets ever since.
As Alisria drifted down the busy streets, she used her pickpocketing talents to snatch coins and credits from passerby's pockets.
"Hey!" A man shouted "That little thief stole from me! Get her!"
Alisria groaned and cursed under her breath. She took off down an alley and leapt around the corner. Immediately she bumped into a tall man with brown hair tied back in a ponytail.
"Watch where you're going, kid!" He exclaimed, grabbing her arm "Where are your parents?"
"They're dead. Get out of my way." Alisria growled.
"Are you in some kind of trouble?"
"Stop, thief!" A man shouted from the other end of the alley.
"What do you think?"
"Follow me." Ponytail man whispered.
He grabbed her hand and tugged her down another alley. They ducked down into a doorway and waited.
"My name's Kanan. What's yours?" Kanan whispered.
"Aren't you supposed to be being quiet?"
"I will once you tell me who you are." Kanan challenged.
"Alisria."
"Family name?"
"No family."
"Fair enough." Kanan shrugged "Come on, let's move."
He grabbed her hand and led her towards a nearby ship in the docking yard.
"Hera, open the cargo doors. We've got incoming!" Kanan shouted.
"What kind of trouble did you get into this time?" A female voice shouted "Is that a kid? Kanan, did you kidnap a kid?!"
"Fly now, questions later!" Kanan shouted.
"Fine." A green skinned women rolled her eyes as Kanan pulled Alisria onto the ship "But we aren't done."
"Never thought we were." Kanan muttered.
"Um, pardon me, but where are we going?" Alisria shouted.
"Away from here!" The woman shouted.
They had escaped the system without too much trouble. Kanan sat Alisria down in the main room and went off to talk to the woman. Alisria could hear them very well, as they made no attempt to be quiet.
"She's just a kid, her parents are dead." Kanan was saying "Hera, we can help her."
"Kanan, it's very sad that she doesn't have any family but we are hardly in a position to offer her a normal life." The woman, who must have been Hera, reasoned.
"Well, what do you suggest we do?"
"I don't know!"
"Then we'll go with my plan. She'll stay with us." Kanan said "There's one more thing."
"What?"
"I sensed the force in her."
"What do you mean?" Hera asked.
"She's powerful. I want to give her the option to learn to control it." Kanan explained.
"You should've led with that." Hera chuckled softly "Okay, she can stay."
Kanan came into the main room where Alisria was sitting "Hey," He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly "So, you said you don't have any family?"
"I already know what you're going to say." Alisria smiled "And I accept."
"What?"
"You aren't very good at being quiet, are you? What's the force? And why did you say you sensed it in me?" Alisria asked.
"The force is...it's hard to explain." Kanan sighed "But you're willing to stay here? And to train?"
"Well, yeah, I guess so."
"Good, we'll start tomorrow." Kanan turned around "We'd better find you some better clothes."
Alisria looked down at the rags she wore. They were very tattered and dirty.
"Deal." She agreed.
10 years later
Alisria's outfit:
A/N I don't own this outfit I found it on Pinterest.
Alisria stood on Lothal waiting for her signal. She'd grown up and was now 17, she'd trained with Kanan for years before she decided it was time for a break. She was short, but fiery. Her hair reached her shoulders and was a pale purple, curtesy of Sabine Wren, another member of the Ghost crew that they'd picked up several years ago.
Sabine was very artistic and shared a room with Alisria. They were constantly trying out new hairstyles and colors. Then there was Zeb. He was a looming Lasat. Alisria was his favorite crew member. Chopper, of course was their droid, and a pain in the butt. He liked to complain and grumble.
Hera was totally the Mom. She cared for all of them, making sure they ate and Zeb took a bath every now and then. Kanan was Alisria's teacher and the tactician. He always seemed to have a plan. He was also their secret weapon if they got in a tight spot, as he was a Jedi.
Alisria was technically a Jedi too, she was trained and had a lightsaber, but she rarely used it anymore since she'd decided to take a break.
Kanan gave her the signal and Alisria walked past the stormtroopers, batting her eyes and smiling flirtatiously "Hi there, soldier." She greeted.
Even though they were wearing helmets, Alisria could tell their jaws had dropped. Behind her she heard Kanan give the first signal and Zeb start to move. Seconds later, Kanan gave the second signal and Sabine got into position.
Sabine walked past the speeder behind the stormtroopers Alisria was talking to and tossed a explosive onto the bike. Alisris smiled and moved away with a wave. Then, the speeder exploded.
"Get those crates out of here!" The leader said "Keep them secure at all costs!"
Two stormtroopers hopped on the remaining bikes with the crates on them and started to speed off. Alisria used her acrobatic skills to scale a nearby building and dashed across its, leaping from one rooftop to another.
Kanan pulled a speeder back in front of the stormtroopers who had the crates and Alisria dropped into his speeder.
"Hiya, soldiers." She waved.
"How's it going?" Kanan asked.
He then jumped out of the speeder and kicked one stormtrooper in the face. Alisria took on the other two with ease. She dodged and weaved, then hit them each with a quick shot from her blaster.
As more stormtroopers came to join the fight, Zeb ran up behind them, throwing them at each other with ease. Quickly all the stormtroopers were knocked out.
A boy swung down from the rooftop above, he must have followed them, and landed in the seat of one of the bikes.
"Thanks for doing the heavy lifting." He saluted them cockily.
He sped off, dodging a punch from Zeb.
"Now what?" Zeb asked.
"After that kid!" Kanan shouted.
"On it!" Alisria yelled and hopped back into Kanan's speeder.
She followed their progress from the sky. She saw Sabine on a rooftop leap onto the boy's speeder.
"Pretty gutsy move, kid." Sabine shouted over the wind.
The boy tried to shake her off but Sabine was steady, she pulled out her blaster.
"If the big guy catches you, he'll end you." She warned "Good luck!"
She shot the link connecting the crate she was on and slowed to a stop. Alisria swooped down to pick her up. They loaded the crate onto the speeder and got back in the air.
It was easy to find the boy and their friends, they'd gone straight to the market and were causing mayhem.
"Who is that kid?" Alisria heard Kanan ask.
They followed the crazy kid out of the market and away from the city. A shot was fired at the kid and his speeder started to move erratically until it flew over the ridge dividing one side of the road from the other.
Another stormtrooper pilot landed in front of Kanan.
"Okay, you caught me, I give up." Kanan raised his hands.
"What the-" The pilot was surprised by Kanan tossing an explosive at him.
"Just kidding."
Kanan kept chasing the kid, and had caught up to him for a moment. Then he pulled back and signaled for Zeb to stop and load the crates onto the girls' speeder. Zeb frowned but gave a thumbs-up. Kanan sped ahead and released his crates for Zeb to catch.
"If Kanan catches that kid, I'm gonna end him." Zeb growled.
Kanan raced down the road and turned his speeder bike so it flew up over the ridge and landed next to the boy's. He sprayed sparks in the kid's face before turning to block the road. The kid slammed on the brakes.
"Who are you?" The kid sighed.
"I'm the guy who was stealing that crate." Kanan jabbed his finger at the crate.
"Hey, look, I stole this stuff, whatever it is, fair and square."
"And you made it pretty far." Kanan complimented "But I've got plans for that crate, so today is not your day."
He was unaware of a TIE-fighter coming up behind him, but the kid noticed and used it to his advantage.
"Mmm, day's not over." The kid sassed and turned his speeder to move around Kanan.
Kanan sensed the fighter approaching and rolled his eyes "Oh, wonderful."
The TIE-fighter fired at Kanan and his speeder, Kanan got out of the way but his ride wasn't so lucky.
"Have a good one!" The kid yelled as he rode off down the road.
Kanan glared after him as he pulled out his comlink "This is Spectre-1. I need a lift."
Alisria laughed "You know your comm was on the whole time, right?"
She drove them down and Kanan leapt in "Let's go." He ordered.
Alisria noticed a second TIE-fighter following the kid. It blew up his speeder and sent him flying through the air. They joined up with Hera and the Ghost to catch up with him. Hera fired a shot at the TIE which was coming around for a second pass, blowing it up.
Kanan and Alisria stood on the ramp, watching the kid.
"You want a ride?" Kanan asked.
"It's now or never." Alisria warned.
"Kid, you have a better option?" Kanan shouted "Come on!"
The kid ran over to the crate.
"Leave the crate, you'll never make it!" Kanan yelled.
But the kid jumped with the crate anyway, and he made it.
"Woah." Kanan and Alisria said in unison.
The kid pulled himself up onto the ramp and Alisria dragged the crate into the storage area. Hera shut the ramp and they flew away.
Everyone glared at the kid. Zeb took the lid off the crate to make sure the contents wasn't damaged and the kid gasped at the blasters inside.
"Oh! Do you have any idea what these are worth on the black market?" He asked.
"I do, actually." Kanan growled.
"Don't get any ideas." Zeb warned as the kid picked up one of the guns.
"They're mine." The kid protested.
"If you hadn't gotten in our way..."
"Too bad. I got to them first."
"It's not who's first. It's who's last." Kanan shoved the two apart.
"Easy, Zeb." Alisria said, putting her hand on Zeb's enormous shoulder.
"Keep an eye on our friend here." Kanan ordered "Ria." He called as he walked away.
"What's your name, kid?"
"Ezra."
"Thanks." Alsiria smirked.
"Wait, aren't you gonna tell me yours?"
"Nope."
Alisria followed Kanan up the ladder to where Hera was in the cockpit, flying.
"You said this was a routine op. What happened down there?" Hera asked.
Chopper beeped in agreement.
Kanan sighed "Chopper, please, it's been a difficult morning."
"He isn't wrong." Alisria agreed with the droid.
"They do have a point, love. We've got four TIE-fighters closing in." Hera pointed out.
"Hera, how about a little less attitude and a little more altitude?" Kanan suggested.
Hera turned the ship so Kanan fell and landed hard in his seat. Alisria, who had been expecting in, grabbed the back of her own seat and held on tightly.
"If I didn't know better, I'd think you did that on purpose." Kanan accused.
"She did." Alisria muttered.
"If you knew better, we wouldn't be in this situation." Hera scolded, ignoring Alisria "Seriously, Kanan, what happened?"
"He did." Kanan said, looking towards the screen that showed Zeb, Sabine, and Ezra in the hull.
"A kid tripped you up? The last time that happened it was when you met Alisria. Must be some kid. Spill it." Hera chuckled.
"Aren't you a little busy at the moment?" Kanan asked.
"Spill."
Kanan told her what had happened, Alisria adding in her own comments now and then.
"Kid sounds impressive." Hera mused.
"You're not thinking what I think you're thinking."
"He held on to a crate of blasters with a pack of troopers on his tail." Hera pointed out.
"Because I was there to save him!"
"Ahem!" Alisria cleared her throat.
"Fine, we were there to save him." Kanan corrected "He's a street rat. Wild, reckless, dangerous, and...Gone?"
Alisria turned to the screen and saw that Ezra was no longer there "Oh, boy." She muttered.
"Zeb, Sabine, where's the kid?" Kanan asked over the PA.
"Calm down, chief." Zeb said "He's in..." He opened the door to the hold to reveal it was empty "Uh...Here."
"Zeb, where is he?" Kanan asked angrily.
"Well, he is still in the ship." Zeb offered lamely.
"Oh, he's in the ship alright." Sabine laughed.
"Ria?" Kanan pointed to the vent nearby.
"Do I have to?" Alisria complained.
"Yes, you're the only one who still fits."
It was true, Alisria was very small.
"Fine." Alisria pried off the vent covering and crawled in "But you owe me!"
She scurried though the vent system until she heard a crash back the way she came. Alisria groaned and squeezed herself around the corner to turn back. When she reached the broken vent, she fell out and found herself in the gun room.
"Aw, really? I didn't even have to go anywhere? I could have walked here faster." She grumbled.
"Get off!" Ezra's voice came from beneath her.
"Oh, sorry." She'd landed on top of him.
He pulled himself up into a chair "I'm...I'm in space!" He exclaimed "And I'm about to die!"
"Yeah, and if you don't want to die in space, you'll move." Alisria shoved him out of the chair and took his place.
She began firing at the incoming TIE-fighters.
"Whoa!" Ezra gasped as she hit one.
"Ugh, I can't see a thing in this hood." Alisria pulled her hood off her head.
Ezra's jaw hit the ground. Alisria noticed this and gave him a dirty look.
"So, you know my name's Ezra, am I ever gonna learn yours?" He asked, trying to flirt.
Alisris rolled her eyes and shoved him back.
"My name's Zeb, you Loth-rat." Zab had come up behind them and grabbed Ezra "And you don't get to talk to her."
"Calculations complete, but we need an opening." Hera said over the PA.
"Found one!" Alisria shouted, she fired at a TIE fighter that was closing in and it exploded.
Hera flew through the dust and smoke and jumped to hyperspace.
As they exited hyperspace, Zeb tugged Ezra into the cockpit, Alisria following close behind, to where Hera was waiting.
"Let go! You can't keep me here! Take me back to Lothal!" Ezra was shouting.
"Calm down, that's exactly what we're doing." Hera soothed.
"Wait, right now? With Imperials chasing us?" Ezra freaked out.
"We lost the TIEs when we jumped," Hera explained "and the Ghost can scramble it's signature, thanks to Alisria here, so they won't recognize us when we return."
"Oh, that's pretty cool! Wait, your name's Alisria?" Ezra asked, turning to Alisria.
"Got it in one." She joked.
"So just drop me and my blasters outside Capital City and..."
The door opened and Sabine cut him off "They're not your blasters."
"And we're not going back to Capital City. The job's not done." Kanan said.
They flew towards the planet and landed softly on its surface. Alisria, Kanan, and Hera grabbed a crate each and walked off in one direction, Zeb and Sabine, dragging Ezra with them, went in another.
Alisria could hear Ezra asking "Hey, where are they going?"
"If I told you, I'd have to kill you." Zeb chuckled "Oh, and I might just kill you anyway."
"Grab a crate, pull your weight." Sabine ordered.
Alisria followed Kanan and Hera towards Vizago's camp with the crates of blasters.
"Any problems procuring these lovely ladies?" Vizago asked.
"Nothing we couldn't handle, Vizago." Kanan assured the smuggler "Your intel was accurate. This time."
"We got the goods and took a bite out of the Empire." Hera nodded "That's all that matters."
"At least to us." Alisria murmured under her breath.
"Business is all that matters." Vizago corrected "But I love that you don't know that."
He handed Kanan the credits for the job, but hesitated before he gave them the full amount.
"Keep going." Kanan told him.
"I could. Or I could stop and trade the rest of the bounty for another bit of intel you've been begging after." Vizago offered.
"The Wookiees?" Hera and Alisria asked together.
"The Wookiees." Vizago confirmed.
When the three got back to the Ghost, Kanan and Alisria sensed something was going on in Kanan's cabin.
"Oh, come on!" Alisria complained "We can't go anywhere without someone breaking into your cabin."
It was clearly Ezra who had broken in, Sabine and Zeb knew better than to go into Kanan's cabin without him there. The door slid open and Ezra whirled around, holding Alisria's green lightsaber and Kanan's blue one.
"Careful, you'll cut your arm off." Kanan warned.
"Look, I know you're not gonna believe me, but it's like these things wanted me to take them." Ezra insisted.
"You're right." Kanan nodded.
"We don't believe you." Alisria held out her hand "Now give us our lightsabers."
"Lightsaber? Isn't that the weapon of the Jedi?"
"Give them to me, and get out." Kanan commanded.
Ezra sadly shut off the lightsabers and handed them to Kanan. Kanan passed Alisria hers.
"Kanan, I don't-" Alisria protested.
"Just take it for now, I've got a feeling we might need it." Kanan told her "Now we'll see. Go get Zeb and tell him to bring Sabine to the common room."
When Zeb and Sabine arrived, Kanan started talking "We have a new mission. Vizago acquired the flight plan for an Imperial transport ship full of Wookiee prisoners."
"Most of these Wookiees were soldiers for the Old Republic." Hera explained.
"I owe those hairy beasts. They saved some of my people." Zeb muttered.
"Mine too." Hera agreed.
"If we're going to save them, we've got a tight window." Kanan mused "They've been taken to an unknown slave labor camp. If we don't intercept this ship, we'll never find them. Now, I have a plan, but..." He was interrupted by a loud thump from inside the holding cell.
Quickly, Alisria walked over and opened the door. There was Ezra, his ear pressed where the door had been. He fell over when it opened and looked up to see the crew glaring at him. He gave a sheepish smile before he dove back into the vents. Zeb grabbed his legs and pulled him out.
"I ordered Chopper to keep watch!" He shouted angrily.
Just then, Chopper rolled in, beeping a warning too late.
"Little late, Chop." Alisria rolled her eyes.
Zeb growled "Can we please get rid of him?"
"No, we can't." Sabine held out her arm to stop the Lasat "The kid knows too much."
"Calm down, Zeb." Alisria soothed.
Hera helped Ezra up "We don't have time to take him home anyway. We need to move now. I'll keep an eye on him. Alisria, come with me." She led them up the ladder to the cockpit.
"You know, this whole 'mission' thing is nuts." Ezra complained "I'm not against sticking it to the Empire, but there's no way I'd stick my neck out this far. Who does that?"
"We do." Hera answered, they pulled out of hyperspace and Hera spoke into the radio "Imperial transport 651, this is Starbird, coming inbound." She turned to Alisria "You better go help them."
"You got it." Alisria slid down the ladder and joined her master, Sabine's and Zeb.
They stood in front of the door to the docking platform, Zeb was holding his hands together and had his head down, looking like a prisoner.
Two stormtroopers opened the door.
"That thing's not a Wookiee." One said.
"Haven't you ever seen a rare hairless Wookiee before?" Kanan asked.
Zeb imitated a Wookiee roar.
The stormtroopers shared a look.
"Oh, forget it" Zeb rolled his eyes and punched the two soldiers in the heads "Told you they wouldn't buy it."
Sabine ducked around him "You didn't exactly give 'em a chance to buy it."
"Ah, there's just something about the feel of their helmets on my fists." Zeb chuckled.
"I know, big guy." Alisria giggled.
"Okay, you know the plan. Move out." Kanan ordered "No troopers. Security's soft." He said into his comm.
"Good luck, Master." Alisria said, and she ran off after Sabine.
