Tuesdays were probably the worst, and at the same time, best days of Paninya's life. They were the worst, because it was too far from the weekend, had four day classes and a night class, and only a two hour break in between. What made them the best, though, was it was her dietary cheat day, and she got to chow down on whatever the hell she wanted with her very best friend.
Paninya groaned loudly as she exited the arts building and moved sluggishly towards the parking lot. She could spot Winry's old mint green truck from a mile away, making it the perfect meeting spot. The girl was already sitting in the driver's seat, drumming away on the steering wheel with the palms of her hands. Paninya stopped walking and watched her closely, noticing how she was not only drumming, but bouncing in her seat. That could only mean one thing: Winry was seeing someone.
"Aw shit!" she squealed to herself, and darted towards the truck.
Jumping into the passenger's seat and slamming the door shut, she turned to Winry and smacked a hand against her dashboard. "Who is it?!"
Winry's eyes grew wide, doing her best to suppress a smile, but her façade chipped away second after millisecond, and she threw her hands in the air, beaming. "IT'S ED!"
The two girls screamed in a hormonal frenzy of excitement, and after a moment of recomposing, began to drive.
"GIVE ME ALL THE DETAILS, GIRL!" Paninya shouted, still smiling. "When, where, and what happened?"
Winry, still beaming, made a right turn out of the parking lot and onto the main road. "It was last night. We were eating Xingese and playing video games at his place, and then he kissed me!"
Paninya's jaw dropped. "What the hell?! What's with this guy?!"
Winry laughed loudly and shook his head. "I don't know! I mean, I do think it was just a misunderstanding, what happened Saturday night."
"True," Paninya said, tapping a finger to her temple. "So, was it just a peck, for full blown tongue action?"
"Yes," Winry replied, nodding her head, "and yes!"
"Oh my GOD!" Paninya shrieked. "So, are you two dating or what?"
The whole smile on Winry's face shrank slightly. "I don't know!"
Paninya stared at her friend, blinking profusely. "You… don't know."
They reached a red light, and Winry glanced over at her. "No, Pan. I mean, this all just happened last night!"
"And the words 'let's date' couldn't be uttered once during a break for fresh air?" Paninya replied.
Winry rolled her eyes and focused back on the road. "It's not a big deal, Pan. I'll ask him about tonight, if you're so worried about it."
Paninya's eyes grew wide. "You hanging out with him tonight?"
"Maybe," Winry replied, shrugging her shoulders. "Now where do you want to eat?"
Paninya eyed her friend closely as she drove. As happy as she was that something was starting with this Ed guy, she didn't want Winry to get caught up in something that could potentially end up bad for her. Not only was the guy a little flaky, from what she knew of him through Winry's words, but he was also their neighbor. Things could get really messy if their little relationship went bad.
But, for now, Winry was happy, and that was enough for her.
"Girl, I don't care so long as I get a burrito," she exclaimed, and they both laughed loudly as they started their quest for greasy, calorie-filled food.

Author's Note: I don't know about you guys, but me and my best friend can just look at one another for a brief second and immediately know if something new is happening in our lives. Like Pan and Winry, we can tell if we're dating someone or got a little action just by how we're moving. Hahaha.
