Chapter 2 Bruce
Like every day, Bruce woke up at 06.30 and was out of bed by 06.45. He liked routines cause then he would always know how much stuff he had time to do before school. On the way out of bed he saw the poster Tony gave him for his birthday. The poster always made him think about Tony, it was sort of nice. They had been dating for god knows how long... They met in first grade and they had been dating ever since. He started to think about his parents reaction when he told them that Tony was more than an friend, it was a little funny actually. He pushed the thoughts away, cause he really needed to get to the shower. He grabbed sweater and pulled it on over the PJs. He also quickly made his bed and then went out in the hallway. He started to head to the bathroom when he suddenly had to stop.
"Morning" Came a voice from behind him when he was on his way to the bathroom. He turned around and saw his uncle standing with a suitcase in his hand.
"What... What are you doing here?" Bruce asked, his voice was groggy and horse after sleeping but he managed to get the words out.
"I am going to move to the city. I got a job and everything" His uncle stated. Bruce looked at him surprised and a little terrified cause he knew his uncle was a teacher.
"Where are you going to work? Bruce asked and prayed that he didn't say Avengers High.
"Ehm... Its called Avengers High I think. I think your father went there." He awnsered and Bruces face immediately dropped. He didn't like changes, that made him uncomfortable and he got angry easier when things was unstable.
"That's my school... I go there" His uncle looked surprised and maybe a little happy? Almost no one in his family except for his parents knew about his anger issues. And for his uncle (that he didn't like) to meet the kids at his school and maybe his friends, made him angry. He took a deep breath before he turned around and continued to walk towards the bathroom.
"Maybe you could help me move into my apartment after school today?" His uncle called from behind him.
"I am going to my boyfriends house." That was another thing almost no one in his family knew about, he liked boys.
He didn't bother to wait for his uncle to prosses anything before he went into the bathroom.
He took a shower, brushed his teeth and brushed his hair. After he was done he took a towel and folded it around himself and went back to his room. He picked out some clean clothes that involved a purple shirt, beige pants, black socks and black tennis shoes. He made sure that all of his homework was in his backpack, and went downstairs. His mother was standing over the stove, making some scrambled eggs. His uncle sat at the table and talked to his dad. Bruce walked over to the cat food and filled up a small bowl with it. He gently placed it on the ground next to the water bowl.
"Can you toast some bread Honey?" His mother asked when he was about to sit down at the table.
"Sure" He went over to the bread box, and took out a couple of slices. "How many slices do we need?" Bruce asked, and just hoped that it would be the normal amount of slices. Cause he didn't handle change very well.
"The same amount as always. Paul already ate." His mother awnsered. Bruce sighted relieved and went over to put them inside of the toaster.
He brought his dishes over to the sink, before he grabbed his backpack and went outside to wait for Tony. Tony was normally a little late, so he didn't have to hurry. When he walked over to the driveway he couldn't help but think that he forgot something. It was that little annoying feeling that he was forgetting something. He couldn't remember what though, and before he knew it Tony and Pepper pulled up. He gave Tony a small smile and threw the backpack into the backseat and sat down.
Even when they had been driving for a while he couldn't shake the feeling that he had forgot something. It was so annoying, he got a little lost thinking about it. Suddenly the silence broke when Pepper told Tony to let her off. Bruce stepped out of the car when Pepper hopped out. He sat down in the passenger seat, and gave Tony a quick kiss. The kiss made him remember that Tony had a checkup earlier this week, and he always got nightmares after those checkups.
"Do you want to talk about the checkup?" Bruce asked with a little hope in his voice, but mostly understanding.
"No"
"Come on Tony! You need to talk to someone if you are having nightmares. And you know that you have to take PTSD seriously." His voice was strict, but still comforting. Tony only shook his head and mumbled a small "not now". He didn't question him anymore after that. Bruce knew that Tony would come and talk to him if he needed to.
Ther rest of the car ride was mostly Tony talking about how a time traveling movie didn't make sense, and bruce agreeing with Tony. When they reached the schools parking lot it was easy to find a parking space, because they were so early. Tony and Bruce walked hand in hand into the school entrance. They went inside to their lockers and started to put things inside.
Clint and Natasha showed up first, then Steve and lastly Thor. They spotted their teacher walking down the hallway, so they started to gather their stuff and following the other students inside the classroom.
Bruce looked around for a place to sit, and then he spotted Tony who was busy with organizing his books on the desk. He went over and sat down next to him. Tony gave him a soft smile, and slowly their hands slipped together. They sat with their hands like that for almost the entire class. They only separated their hands when they had to write, because Tony was left handed too.
The class was mostly Mrs. Hill awnsering students questions about the assembly, and the six of them passing notes to each other. In most of their classes they would just sign to each other, but Mrs. Hill was fluent in ASL so that was sort of off the table. And besides it was less obvious with small notes, than big hand movements. Most of their teachers had started to pick up on ASL too, so the best solution was starting to become note passing.
Bruce hurried with kissing Tony when the bell rang. Everyone were headed in different directions now. Tony was going to have biology with Thor, Steve had gym, Clint and Nat had ASL and Bruce had French. He liked French because it was fun to learn a foreign language, but he didn't like to have classes without anyone from his group. He usually sat next to this girl that was from the same land as Thor. Her name was Valkyrie but everyone just called her Val. Val was nice a little terrifying but she was nice, and she enjoyed Bruce's company so it was a win win situation.
His French class was at the other side of school so he had to hurry up if he didn't want to be late. He walked with his head down. He didn't like it when people stared or whispered about "The Hulk". It was a stupid nickname that he got in seventh grade. Some jocks gave it to him after he lost his temper and smashed a window and beat up another kid. He hated it when he lost control, and that usually happened if someone was bothering him, and it bothered him when someone whispered and made fun of him.
He reached the French classroom after a couple of minutes with walking. He went inside and sat down at his usual spot, next to Val.
"Hi... what are you reading?" Bruce asked kindly.
"Oh, hi... Its this version of Romeo and Juliet but everyone is ducks and it's full of conspirity theories." Val said and showed him the cover. Bruce smiled a little when he saw that it was just the French book.
"Well It would've been more interesting than the French book." Bruce said with a smile. Val laughed and started to talk about the test they were going to have next week. Bruce followed along and started to focus on French. He haven't had time to study yet, so he really needed to get some notes from Val.
"Cours du matin! Nous Préparerons le test la semaine prochaine en lisant et traduisant Roméo et Juliette." (Morning class! We will prepare for the test next week by reading and translating Romeo and Juliette.) The teacher said. Most of the class understood it but the people that took this class for the first time this year looked like question marks.
"You must be psychic or something" Bruce whispered to Val with a smile.
"Yeah, I am... I just doesn't tell anyone that." Val whispered back, and they both had to fight to keep from laughing.
He teamed up with Val and some other guys that he hadn't bother learning the name to yet. They spent the whole hour translating Romeo and Juliette and when the bell rang they all sighted relived. Bruce grabbed his books and said his goodbye to Val. He then headed the long way back to his locker and the others. They agreed to meet up there, since principal Fury wanted to see all of them in his office after this period.
