The next day was the first quidditch match of the season. Gryffindor versus Hufflepuff. Gryffindor won 180 to 120. That night was their detention. Harry had them cleaning a few things that he'll need for his next classes by hand while he graded homework.

On Tuesday, he had them again. "Welcome class," he said, walking in. "Today, we are going to be working on throwing off the Imperius curse. Does anyone not wish to go through with this? If so, I will not force you."

No one raised their hands.

"Alrighty then. We're first going to be looking at the theory and if we have time, we'll start putting you through your paces. Now, what the imperius curse does, is it allows the caster to take control of their victim. Your mind just gives in because it doesn't have the will power to think if it doesn't have to. You have to increase your willpower to resist this curse. Let's start. Mr. Black, let's have you first." Sirius walked up and Harry said, "Imperio," and made him do 10 somersaults. "Good effort, Mr. Black. Miss Evans, let's have you now. Imperio!"

Once he took it off, he told her, "You did a very good job playing apparently nonexistent bagpipes, but you could work on resisting the curse," she blushed and ran back to her seat.

"Mr. Potter, you now." James was told to start running around in circles, but didn't for a few seconds. "Exceptional, Mr. Potter. I don't think I've ever seen anyone resist the curse that fast." Harry continued putting his students under the curse until everyone had a go and then he dismissed them a bit early. "Homework is an essay on how you felt under the curse and how it takes control of you."

Sirius walked up. "Um, Professor?"

"Yes, Mr. Black? What can I help you with?" Harry quizzed.

"Well, how much do you know about the Blacks?" Sirius asked, timidly.

"Well, not much, I have to admit. I know that they are a very old wizarding family that prides themselves on their pureblood status. I also know that their motto is Toujours Pur which means Always Pure. Unfortunately, I don't know much else." Harry lied. He obviously knew a lot about the Black family.

"Well, my parents and brother very much agree with You-Know-Who's ideals. When I wouldn't agree, my mother put me under the Imperius curse and took me out doing things I don't want to remember. I broke out of it after 3 weeks. Right away, I went over to James' house and I've been staying there. But, I don't want to risk being put under it again. Do you think I'll ever be able to resist it without waiting 3 weeks?"

"Well, first of all, 3 weeks is still much better than some very old wizards. And, I don't know as much. Some people can't," Harry admitted.

"I don't want to have to be practicing for months before I can throw it off," Sirius said, standing up.

"Well, you could have private lessons with me," Harry suggested, smiling.

"Really?" He got a nod in response. "Thank you, Professor, thank you."

"Why don't we start tonight at 7." Sirius smiled and ran off to Potions.

Harry smiled before heading to the quidditch field. He had to think and flying always helped. Afterwards, he realized that there was a staff meeting. He hurried to the room.

"Ah, Harry, there you are," Dumbledore greeted. "Now, does anyone have anything to say before the Head Boy and Girl arrive?"

"Actually, yes," McGonagall volunteered. "Harry has given me a unique perspective into why the Marauders do what they do. To make people laugh." Harry smiled.

"That actually makes a lot of sense," Sprout considered.

Before anyone else could say anything, Lily and James came in. "Well, let's get started." Dumbledore clapped his hands. "First, I have hired someone else. She will be helping out Professor Patterson as a DADA professor under him. This is Professor Ginevra Willowes." Ginny walked out, except her eyes were amber and her hair was more strawberry blond, instead of bright red.

"Ginny!" Harry called. He went over and hugged her, whispering, "Let everyone think that you're my fiancee. Different last names, so, you know." Ginny nodded in agreement.

"So, I take it you know your assistant?" Dumbledore smiled.

"Yes. This is Ginny, my fiancee." Harry introduced.

"Oh, then you won't have any trouble sharing quarters, then?"

"No, Albus." Harry agreed. They all talk about a few more things then Lily and James leave and Dumbledore asks if anyone has anything else. "Yes, actually. I was thinking about an extra class for seventh years who want to take it. It would be teaching wandless magic." Dumbledore approved it. Harry and Ginny went back to his quarters. "Boy who lived," Harry gave his password.

"Really?" Ginny rolled her eyes.

"Hey, no one's guessed it. Now, what is happening? It's the end of November meaning for you, I've been gone for about 3 days. Why are you here?"

"I missed you and I wanted to be here for moral support. It can't be easy teaching your dead godfather, surrogate uncle and parents. Plus the person who betrayed them." Ginny said sympathetically.

"I guess you're kinda right. Oh, wait, isn't April 1 going to be the day Fred and George are born?" Harry asked.

"Oh, yeah. They were born in 1978. Wow," Ginny was appalled, but also a bit sad remembering her lost brother.

"Oh, what is happening with Delphi?" Harry asked, remembering their daughter.

"She wanted to get to know Teddy better. So, I told her she could stay at Teddy's house for the week since Tonks and Remus were fine with it."

"Ah, okay. Anyways. I gotta go. I'm teaching Sirius to throw off the Imperius Curse. He asked for private lessons." Harry sighed and went off to his classroom. But, he was overall happy with the outcome. After putting him through his paces about 3 times, he could escape the curse's hold after about 20 minutes. Harry was happy with it and told him that he was improving considerably.

"It's so hard!" Sirius complained.

"Well, if it were easy, we wouldn't have to learn it," Harry reminded him. "The only thing harder than throwing off the imperius, is the cruciatus.

"You sound like you're speaking from experience."

"I am." Harry nodded. "I tend not to have anyone know about my talents."

"But, why? It would be an asset to have people know that you're powerful enough to shake off unforgivables."

"Power has nothing to do with it. I could be a muggle and be able to throw them off. It has to do with strength of will. And, if no one knows about my abilities, they will underestimate me. That was Voldemort's mistake. He didn't expect a 19 year old to be able to throw off the curse." Harry winked at his godfather.

"You faced You-Know-Who?"

"Voldemort, Mr. Black. His name is Voldemort. What'll happen if you say it?"

"He'll come and get you."

"What can a name do? By not saying his name, he is winning. Say it."

"V-v-v-voldemort." Sirius stuttered.

"Again."

"Why?"

"By saying his name, you're building up your will."

"VOLDEMORT!" Sirius shouted.

Harry congratulated him. "Great job. Why don't we try again?" Sirius nodded. "Imperio." Sirius started yodeling, and after about 15 minutes, he shook it off. "Mr. Black, that only took 15 minutes, compared to your past 20. Congrats. Why don't we stop and you head back. Dinner should be ending soon. We can go again maybe next Wednesday at the same time?"

Sirius nodded. "Sir? You know about Remus' little problem right?"

"You mean his lycanthropy? Yes."

"I think that he'd benefit from these lessons. He hates the idea of losing control."

"I think that you're right Mr. Black. It would be good for Mr. Lupin to know that some things can be fought. I'll ask him about it. You should get to the Gryffindor Common Room. It's after curfew."

"Thank you Sir!" He ran off. Harry smiled.
