With an uncertain gesture, Scorpius placed his arms around the Slytherin. Albus let him, too distracted by his tears which he tried to stop from rolling down his cheeks. The two had found refuge in the astronomy tower. Away from curious glances, Albus was able to let go of his pain. Since his sorting, James was no longer speaking to him, and this saddened the young boy greatly. Silently, Albus savoured the warmth of his friend's arms, which he held against him tightly. Scorpius did not like to see him in this state.

"James is just an idiot," the blonde boy sighed, wearily. He promised he'd always watch over Albus.
