It was the ninth of November and it was Scorpius's birthday. To celebrate his twelfth, the two Slytherins had decided to break the rules. Albus and Scorpius were in the Hogwarts kitchens, robbing various sweets, the curfew already having passed some time ago. Their arms laden with their finds, they walked through the corridors leading to the basement where their common room lay. However, they were caught red-handed by Filch the janitor, and taken to the headmistress. Minerva McGonagall eyed them sternly, lowering the eyes of the two now guilty students.
