Dear RWBY #46

"Hello and welcome to another Dear RWBY! I mean, DRWBY!" Ruby Rose started with a high tension, but it quickly turned to frustration when she forgot their newly changed name, "Gah, I'm so not used to it!"

"Don't change the name then." Weiss Schnee rolled her eyes.

"Screw this, we'll just refer to it the way we want to. So if DRWBY is better for any of you…" The leader shifted closer to the camera, "Then just use it. I'm gonna stick to Dear RWBY. Yes." She moved back and nodded.

"This episode is sponsored by IBurn!" The blonde ignored the White Roses and said.

"It's your turn to read the question, love."

"Okay Blake~" Ruby smiled and proceeded to read the question aloud, her hand holding her scroll that was used to record and track the accumulated questions, "Snowballs FF asked...Dear RWBY, when Doctor Oobleck asked you why you wanted to be a huntress, save for Ruby, you all gave candid answers and then later conspired about the topic at night time. As of now, has those answers changed or do you still standby what you've said?"

"Oh my, surprisingly, we've received a...deep? Legit? Serious? Personal? Kind of question." Yang imitated the thinking emoji by grabbing her chin lightly.

"Doctor Oobleck talked to you girls about that?" Little red raised an eyebrow.

"Yes. For some reason, he didn't ask you; we've talked about it that night, and your sister gave us an answer." Her partner smiled bitterly, "You were determined, and you knew exactly what you wanted to do. You have a purpose."

This had caused a slight blush on the scythe wielder's face.

"Us on the other hand…" Yang sighed.

"I was especially lost." The Faunus' cat ears flattened.

"But are you still lost now?" Ruby smiled gently at her lover.

Said lover returned the gesture, "Not anymore. I said I wanted to be someone who stands up and correct what's wrong with this world. At that time, I actually...only thought about my...I mean, I thought I had to do this alone. Then I gradually understood that I am no longer alone. I have family, friends, a team - and even a lover.

"And...I might still have not figured out how to do just that, but...I have you guys now. We can figure it out together."

"Aww~" Everyone (yes, including the heiress) awed in unison.

"And for me…" The brawler spoke afterwards, "I didn't have a purpose. I was just in for the thrills and adventures - and being a huntress just happened to line up with that. But, as Blake said…"

The Bumblebees exchanged look, and the yellow nodded as she continued, "I came to understand a lot as I grow up. Now I have a purpose - I want to keep on improving my strength to protect the people I love. So, did my answer change? Yes, I guess."

"You need to improve your...intellectual level too if you want to protect someone you love." Blake joked.

"Aw Blakey, I'm actually not as stupid as I appear to be~ I mean, I'm even stupider!" Yang made a weird expression while sticking her tongue out.

The team laughed, and when they stopped the heiress had proceeded to answer as the last person, "I declared that I would not let my father end Schnee Dust Company that time. And that, will never change."

"Princess' such a badass." The Faunus teased.

"Hmph."

"Being a huntress means we have to protect people." Ruby ignored the Monochrome, "Whatever is our personal desires...would have to come second."

Yang put both her palms on her cheeks as she drowned in affection, "That's the leader of Team RWBY!"

-beep-

"That's it! Leave a comment if you wanna ask us anything guys!" Little red threw up both her arms in excitement.

"Now our viewers will understand us just that bit more." The blonde said.

"And they will see how much we've grown." Blake smiled.

"Thank you for submitting an actual question, Snowballs FF. The questions we've answered in the past - too many of them are utter...nonsense. Absurd." The heiress spoke.

"I think it is necessary that we have this kind of vlog once in a while. Life can't be filled with just wonderful gayness and puns right? It has to be touching, or even emotional sometimes." Yang closed her eyes and nodded sentimentally.

…

When she re-opened her eyes, everyone else was giving her the same kind of look.

"What?"

"Normally, this is where you would insert a pun. Or puns."

"Shitty ones."

"Yes."

"Nah, I can't think of any at the moment."

-static noise-

Only the Freezerburn was seen on camera; the Ladybug was nowhere to be seen.

"So, Mr. Schnee, if you're watching this video, please remember that no matter what happens, I will stay by Weiss' side. She's got me, and I will never leave her. She's not alone. And if she wishes to kick you off the throne, then I will do anything beyond my power to assist her."

The dragon's declaration had touched the heiress greatly; it meant a lot that someone would say that to her, to go against one of the most powerful men in Remnant. She blushed lightly as she wrapped her hand around her girlfriend's waist.

"I love you." Yang returned the gesture and kissed her on her forehead.

"...Dolt."

That last part was so wonderfully gay even the author couldn't stand it. Must. Suppress. The. Fangirling.

Anyway, like what I used Yang Xiao Long to say: I do think this kind of chapter is necessary once in a while. And this reader's question happened to be a nice trigger.

I hope this chapter is entertaining enough! And since I didn't want to ruin the mood, I'll say it here: Misaka Mikoto.
