I'm sorry if this is short. I mean, there's not much Conner doesn't know about Roden. Tobias will be next.
First, he would see Roden, the boy who turned against him first, along with his most loyal servant. He needed to clear everything up, and possibly -hopefully- find out more about Cregan.
When he last saw Roden, he was the Captain of Guard for Carthya. But a lot of time had passed from then; he did not know what Roden was doing.
Conner hoped all of the boys still lived in the palace in Drylliad.
Conner had finally managed to locate Roden. Now, this had been very hard, so you must give him the credit he deserves.
Roden looked different. He looked older, yes. But also looked more mature, like he had experienced things no one his age should. Was this because of him? Connor knew he had done bad things, but were they that terrible?
Conner perched his translucent self on a ledge, where he got a good view of what Roden was doing. He was signing...paperwork? As far as he knew, the Captain of the Guard didn't do paperwork.
Conner was about to get a closer look, when a voice from behind him called,
"Captain Harlowe?"
What?
That was Roden. Not Harlowe...as in Harlowe Estate? Where they found Imogen? What did that have to do with Roden?
But if he was Captain Harlowe, that could only mean one thing. He was the son of Lord Harlowe.
Conner didn't know why, but that somehow changed a lot. But he couldn't figure out why. All he knew was that the newly discovered fact about Roden's heritage made him feel different about the boy.
Conner was finally starting to realize how much had changed since he was last there.
"Yes?" Roden looked up from his work.
A guard was standing there, but he looked of higher status than most guards.
"Some of the guards are leading a revolt. I thought you should know."
