CHAPTER 37

Finn stood outside the mosque during the early afternoon. Before going in, Finn took out the vial of pills that the doctor had given him and he took two. He then strided into the building, feeling all eyes on him as he walked inside. He knew that most of the guys who were around were probably Asif's guards. The imam of the mosque walked over to him.

"My son. How can I help you?" He asked. Finn took out a machine gun and shot the man in the chest. He then turned and shot every single person on the main floor of the mosque. He fired 10 shots, killed 10 people. Suddenly, someone called out into the silence.

"MOTHER FUCKER! Do you know who you're FUCKING with?" The man shouted in Bengali. Finn walked over to him and yanked him to his feet.

"Yes. Yes, I do." Finn replied. "Let's go to the vault."

They walked through the back of the mosque, Finn killing multiple guards in the process before they finally made it to the vault.

"Open it." Finn demanded.

"Do you think you can scare me into opening this gate?" The man spat.

"Yes, I do. Open it." Finn growled, jabbing the machine gun into the man's back.

"Asif will kill me." The man stammered.

"Uh huh." Finn muttered. "And?"

Eventually, the man gave in and typed a 6 digit code into the door. Finn stormed into the vault and saw two women sitting at the front.

"Ladies. Get out." Finn snarled. When they saw his gun, they sprinted out of the room in a panic. "Have a nice day!" Finn called after them. Finn ransacked the vault and he put all of the money on the floor in the center of the room.

"What are you going to do with all of that?" The man asked. Finn pulled out a flare grenade from his pocket.

"This." He replied, tossing the grenade into the vault and walking out, letting all of Asif's money burn in the vault behind him…

Half an hour later, Amir Asif himself pulled up to the mosque and got out. He had heard about what happened in the vault and he was absolutely livid. After all, most of his savings had gone up in flames… literally.

"Get me that fucking idiot." He spat. Moments later, the man who had opened the vault for Finn was dragged over to Asif and shoved onto his knees. Finn watched from the neighboring roofstep as they put a bullet in the man's head. Once the man was dead, Asif stormed off, followed by Viggo.

"SHIT!" Asif shouted. "Can we recover from this?"

Viggo sighed.

"Asif, you know how much was in that vault. It's not just…"

Suddenly, he was cut off when the two body guards beside them suddenly dropped to the ground, bullet holes in their skulls. Finn stepped out a moment later, a machine gun in his hands. The villains dived for cover as Finn sprayed at them with his machine gun. He once again took out tens of bodyguards and hitmen, trying to get to Asif. Suddenly, Finn heard the rev of a car engine and moments later, an SUV rammed straight into him, causing him to go flying backwards and his head hitting the ground. HARD. Finn barely felt the remaining men drag him to his feet and into a van.

Meanwhile, back in the Continental hotel, Perkins was tied up to the door and Harry was watching her. He ripped the gag off her mouth.

"Don't worry. Housekeeping will find you." He remarked.

"Treat all your ladies like this?" She snapped. Harry scoffed.

"You are no lady. Trust me." Harry replied.

"Hey Harry, how would you like to earn more than just a little money?" She asked. Harry raised an eyebrow.

"You've broken the rules. You've done business on Continental grounds, and management does not take kindly to this sort of behavior."

"Fuck management." She spat. Little did Harry know that while they were talking, Perkins was picking the lock on her handcuffs. Suddenly, she lunged at him, smothering his face with a pillow before firing a bullet into his skull.

"Don't worry. I'm sure housekeeping will find you." She joked, smirking at the corpse before walking out of the room.

Finn awoke in a dark, dim cellar. His head was pounding and he heard a faint ringing in his ears. His arms were obviously tied behind his back as he was tied to a chair. Suddenly, the door to the cellar swung open and Asif walked in, flanked by a couple of large, burly men.

"I say this, Finn… they sure as fuck broke the mold when making you. You always had a certain… audacity about you. I can't say. You're still very much the Finn Hudson of last year."

"Am I?" Finn rasped.

"People don't change, you know?" Asif stated. "At times, they do, briefly. Do you know what was in that vault? Cash well beyond its worth, but the leverage I had on this city! Audio recordings, physical evidence, blackmails! FUCKING PRICELESS! PRICELESS!"

"Yeah, I kind of enjoyed that." Finn smirked. Asif chuckled.

"Yeah, I know you did." He laughed before punching Finn as hard as he could across the face. Finn groaned in pain but stayed silent. "So… I heard you and that ambassador's kid started dating. Ahhh, young love. You managed that. Good on you."

"Yeah, thanks." Finn said, confused.

"Yeah, well, when you had your girlfriend, I had my son. And believe me, you had a far better deal. And then you refused to sign a full-time deal, and the way you got out… lying to yourself. Saying that the past had no sway over the future. But, in the end, a lot of us are rewarded for our misdeeds, which is why my son came after your girlfriend. This life follows you. It clings to you. Infecting everyone that comes close to you. We are cursed, you and I."

"I know. I agree." Finn murmured. Asif raised an eyebrow and turned to Viggo, who was standing a couple of feet away.

"Finally, common ground!" He remarked to his buddy.

"Step aside. Give me your son." Finn demanded from his restraints.

"Finn Hudson." Asif sighed. "Baba Yaga. It was just a fucking girl!"

"Just a girl?" Finn muttered. "The year before I joined the Army, I lost everything and the Army just made it worse. Then that girl came into my life, moving to my city. That girl was the one semblance of hope in the wreckage that was my life. An opportunity to live unalone. And your son tried to take that from me."

Finn's voice started to rise louder and louder.

"Tried to steal that from me! KILL THAT FROM ME! People keep asking if I'm back and I haven't really had an answer. But yeah, now, I'm thinking I'm back! So you can either hand over my son, OR YOU CAN DIE, SCREAMING ALONGSIDE HIM!"

Finn lunged at Asif but he was held back by his restraints. A plastic bag was roughly shoved over Finn's head, causing him to start slowly suffocating. He could feel less and less air getting into his lungs with every passing second. He could feel his life slowly draining away. But suddenly, just as Finn was starting to see black spots on his eyes, he heard the deafening blast of sniper bullets. Having a bag was agonising as he had no idea what was going on, but Jack was crouching on a neighboring rooftop, firing bullets into the building. The two henchmen covering him with the bag fell to the ground. Finn took the opportunity to leap to his feet and he lunged at the other henchman Asif and Viggo were long gone at this point so Finn didn't mind fighting the henchman. The two grappled, fighting furiously for dominance, before Finn finally managed to pull him into a triangle choke lock and he squeezed until the man was unconscious. Finn then took his gun from him and sprinted out of the building, watching as Viggo and Asif's car was driving away. Not on his watch…

Finn grabbed his gun and shot out the tyres of the car, causing it to slow for a halt. Finn then fired a bullet into the head of the driver of the car before Asif finally came out of the car, his hands up in surrender. Finn fired a warning shot between Asif's feet.

"Where is he?!" Finn shouted.

"SHIT!" Asif swore. Eventually, Asif sighed. "Look, I'll tell you, but you have to give me your word that you'll let me walk away."

"Pull the contract on me." Finn demanded.

"Done." Asif pleaded. "He's being kept at a safehouse in Tongi. 434 Bora Road. They know you're coming though."

"Of course. Finn muttered. "But it won't matter."

With that, he walked away, leaving Asif unharmed.

The McKinley High Senior Prom was coming up, and everyone was buzzing. People were starting to campaign for Prom King and Queen, girls were talking about dresses, and guys were talking about which hotel room to book. Quinn, Santana and Brittany were all running for queen and Sam and Puck were both running for king so affairs were extremely tense. The only person who wasn't looking forward to the experience was Bella. She was still going to prom, but she was going alone. Although Finn had already been gone for a month and was probably already dead, Bella couldn't bring herself to go to prom with anyone else. Plenty of guys had hit on her and asked her to prom already, but Bella couldn't bring herself to go with anyone. She was going to go stag and dance and spend a fun night with her friends.

Santana and Quinn were going at it in yet another argument but Mr. Schue wasn't there to stop them. He was all the way across the school, in Principal Figgins' office.

"I have some bad news." Principal Figgins told Mr. Schue and Coach Sue.

"Will Schuester is leaving McKinley to start a hair gel company. Oh, William, I am devastated. Positively horny with grief. As a going-away present, here's a spray bottle of hairspray. You know, as a startup booster." Sue remarked, obnoxiously. Will rolled his eyes. Seriously? Again with the hair jokes.

"No, no." Figgins said. "Prom is in one week and my favourite band cancelled."

"What band?" Mr. Schue asked.

"Air Supply, William. So I'm inviting my next favourite group: the New Directions!" He exclaimed.

Nope! No way!" Sue exclaimed. Mr. Schue sighed.

"Um… I actually agree with Sue. I mean, normally we would jump at the chance to perform, but… I mean, we've got Nationals in three weeks, which means that we have a lot of rehearsals. And a lot of funds to raise just so that we can afford the trip."

"William, this glass is half-full of dreams for all of us." Figgins said. "I have decided to give all the money to the Glee Club that I was going to pay Air Supply! So that's $400 right there for you."

"I won't allow it. I'm the prom coordinator and I was not consulted." Sue butted in. "Each year, I honor the prom with a bowl of my family's secret punch recipe, made all the more meaningful to me because it's the punch bowl my grandmother drowned in. And each year, that punch bowl is spiked. Such lawlessness will only be encouraged when being screeched at by that Glee Club!"

"Sue, it is not a discussion!" Figgins shouted. "We are in the lurch!"

Sue sighed.

"Fine. Well, then let me take this opportunity to make a request. Here's a list of the worst songs ever performed by the Glee club." She said, whipping out a piece of paper from her pocket.

"You just carry that around?" Will asked, on the verge of laughter.

"Number one…" She said, ignoring Will. "Run Joey Run. You should literally apologize to America for that one. Number two, the ingenious mash up of Crazy in Love and Hair. Now I know you must have been pretty tired when you slapped that baby together."

"If you'll excuse me." Will interrupted and walked out the room.
