At the hotel Dog paid and escorted Gem to her room, then left immediately as Gem knew the plan and waited for her bodyguard. After an hour and waking up from a slight nap she heard a knock at the door. Getting up and opening the door a man stood at the entrance with gray hair and his ninja headband covering one eye.

"Yo, I'm Kakashi Hatake I'll be escorting you to get everything you need and your bodyguard

overnight "-Kakashi

I appreciate you showing me around and guarding me, I'm going to work hard and become the best ninja I can be.-Gem

Kakashi eye-smiled, "We shall see I wish you the best of luck, now let's get going so can turn in early you will have a lot to do tomorrow."-Kakashi

As we went to the various shops Gem observed Kakashi reading a book while walking and Gem's curiosity got the best of her.

"What are you reading"-Gem

"Hm? Oh it's a book meant for jonin ninjas."-Kakashi

"But the cover has blonde haired girl on it?"-Gem

"Well yes, it's to hide what the book really is,as a ninja you must look underneath the underneath"-Kakashi

"So is it possible your just lying to me about reading porn and you're really just a pervert"-Gem

"Well it's possible but you have no proof"-Kakashi

Gem pouted a bit at Kakashi's non-answer which made Kakashi eye-smile.

"So do you have everything you need?"-Kakashi

"Everything except food"-Gem

"Okay there's a place I have you also might meet a friend your age if you want?"-Kakashi

"Sounds Good" -Gem

Kakashi and Gem arrive at small ramen stand called Ichiraku. In one of few seats was blonde haired boy with 3 ramen bowls already emptied and he was working on his fourth.

"Alright one more bowl of miso ramen I need enough strength to train for the genin test in a week." -?

"Alright Naruto one more bowl of Miso coming up" -Ramen Chef

Both Kakashi and Gem sat down next to the blond hair boy, Naruto quickly noticed them and instantly intrigued by their presence.

"Hey who are you I've never seen you before and old man are you a ninja?" -Naruto

Kakashi quickly choked and made a comment about rude brats, while Gem laughed at Naruto's brunt but funny nature.

"I just moved to the village I'll be going to the ninja academy tomorrow. Hopefully I'm not too far behind and I'll be able to graduate in a week." -Gem

"Yea me too the tests are really hard especially the clone technique it's always tripped me up. But this time I'll get it because I'm going to be Hokage one day! Believe It!" -Naruto

" I was wondering if we could be friends at and train together" -Gem

Naruto smiled like Christmas was coming early,

"That would be awesome of course we can be friends as my first friend you are now my best friend, all I need now is get Sakura to notice me and not that bastard Uchiha it'll be perfect." -Naruto

Gem laughed out loud and Kakashi chuckled at the Uchiha being referred to as a bastard.

Naruto Miso Ramen was served and the chef then looked to the other two.

"Welcome to Ichiraku I'm Teuchi what can I get you?" -Teuchi

"I'll take the miso" -Gem

"Chicken for me" -Kakashi

Kakashi takes out his book while Gem and Naruto talk about things they've been up to. Naruto brought up the pranks he's pulled on teachers. Gem spoke about how she got the idea about being a ninja(leaving out the bloodline like she promised to the Hokage. After having been served and had eaten and Naruto eating two more bowls of Miso Ramen. Gem thought looking at all seven empty bowls of ramen. Where does he put it all?

"I gotta go and train, see you tomorrow at the academy" -Naruto

Naruto ran off waving back at Gem and Kakashi

"Bye Naruto, see you at the academy" -Gem

"Looks like you made a friend excited for tomorrow?" -Kakashi

"Yes I was kinda nervous but now I'm more excited thanks for dinner Kakashi." -Gem

Kakashi escorted Gem to her hotel room and Gem went to bed. Kakashi took watch on the roof of the hotel, while reading his favorite book. Gem went to sleep knowing she couldn't wait to begin her journey as a Hidden Leaf Ninja.

The next morning Gem woke up to annoying alarm clock that she knew she didn't set. Opening her eyes she spotted the infernal noise contraption on her desk and checked the time, five AM. Her eyes twitched and glared at the alarm clock. After picking it up and smashing it against the floor, she found a note from Kakashi.

"Hey Gem I noticed you didn't set your alarm so I went ahead and set it for you, class begins at 8am have a great day" -Kakashi

Gem swore revenge internally and got up to get dressed and eat breakfast. The outfit she bought was pretty generic for kunoichi. A sleeveless dark green crop top then she wore black stirrup tights . She then covered parts of the tights with a dark green skirt and light green belt to round it all off. For shoes she wore a pair closed off sandals.

After eating breakfast and getting lost for a while she found the academy with parents hugging their kid and saying goodbye. She found Naruto sitting on a swing watching the parents with their kids with a somber look in his eyes. When he noticed Gem his face lit in a smile and he raced over waving his arms like a maniac.

"Hey Gem how's is going!" -Naruto

Gem noticed the glares Naruto was getting from the parents and thought to ask the Someone about that later.

"Hey Naruto I'm doing great and I'm so excited to learn to be ninja. How about you how was training?" -Gem

"It was great I can throw kunai to hit the center of a target" -Naruto

"We better go inside before they start without us" -Gem

Naruto nodded and they went inside Gem went to the front desk asking for Iruka, at the name Naruto started sweating with a panicked look and said he had to get to class and hoping they would be in the same class.

A man showed up at the counter. He had a scar going across the middle of his face below his eyes.

"Hello I'm Iruka I haven't seen you before are you Gem?" -Iruka

"Yes I'm Gem it's nice to meet you Iruka" -Gem

Great I'm supposed to test your knowledge on Konoha History and ninja protocol and perform your basic ninja evaluation and note down any special skills so teams are rounded out."-Iruka

"Great let's get the history and ninja protocol test done first." -Gem

Iruka escorted Gem to an empty classroom passed her the test and a pencil and told her she had one hour to answer all the questions. Gem sighed at the end knowing her scores were going to be bad, but at least she knew where she could improve.

"Great now let's head to the training yard behind the academy building." -Iruka

At the training yard other academy students were also training, even Naruto's class with every student in circle with two students sparing in the middle.

"Okay we are going to do spar come at me with all you got." -Iruka

"Yes, Sir" -Gem

Gem made the first move creating 3 clones and drawing and throwing a shuriken with her left hand and tossing three at once, forcing Iruka to dodge giving Gem a chance to reach him. All four Gems moved closer to Iruka constantly shifting her position between her clones to confuse Iruka. When she was a few steps away Iruka made his move drawing a shuriken and tossing one at each Gem aimed perfectly. After he quickly drew a kunai to stab the closest Gem. The Gem farthest back blew up in a cloud of smoke from being hit, the other moved quick enough to dodge the shuriken. The Gem in front of Iruka quickly retreated a few steps to avoid a direct fight with Iruka. The three Gems left circled around Iruka to surround him and make it harder to defend from attack. Iruka started aggressively by attacking one of the Gems kicking her in the stomach which exploded in smoke to show that it was a clone. Gem gave up on the clone idea and attempted to get in close to start a taijutsu fight. She used the leftover clone to take one Iruka punches to weave herself under his guard to aim a punch at his neck. Gem abruptly stopped noticing that there was a kunai to her neck.

Gem sighed then gathered herself knowing that Iruka was a fully trained ninja and of course he would have noticed her.

"That was pretty good your about mid genin on the taijutsu side which make around middle of the pack here. Your ninjutsu however was almost perfect can do a transformation of me?" -Iruka

"Yes" -Gem

Gem performs a perfect transformation of Iruka

"Great, now how about breaking genjutsu get ready?" -Iruka

Iruka performs a basic hallucination genjutsu on Gem, Gem then breaks it quickly.

"Alright any other skill I should know about?" -Iruka

"Yes, I'm a sensor with a major dedication to accuracy over distance." -Gem

"Awesome we will have your scores out soon I'll send a copy to the Hokage and we will discuss what happens from there. Go ahead and get lunch from the cafeteria, and meet me at my class we should be done grading by then." -Iruka

"Okay Iruka see you later" -Gem

Gem waved goodbye and walking towards the hyperactive blonde she just caught sight of.

Gem ends up having lunch with Naruto and meeting some the other students there. She met Shikimara, Choji, Ino, Sakura, Kiba and his ninken Akamaru, and Hinata.

Gem performed well in classes generally being in the upper middle of the pack of students in nearly all areas. Mainly befriending Naruto and surprisingly Ino getting the girl to stop dieting and being a fan girl over the Uchiha and start focusing on being a ninja. Hanging around Naruto also brought out Ino's pranking deviousness. Apparently the Yamanaka clan are natural pranksters and worse their pranks can mentally scar you for life.
