The TARDIS landed on an estate, blending in as a house.

Everything was calm and peaceful, people were walking their dogs, there were kids playing in their yards, some were mowing the lawn.

Whatever anyone was doing, it was normal... for twenty-first century people at least.

However, to the five people piling out of a newly appearing house, normal would be a highly inaccurate thing to say. To Yaz, Graham and Ryan, there were no more normal days...

The two survivors of the cyberwars, Ravio and Yedlarmi, looked around in amazement.

"This is the twenty-first century?" Ravio questioned, gaping. But the shell-shocked fam did not respond.

An eternal few moments went by as they stood in silence.

"What do we do now?" Ryan asked, attempting to break the tension.

Graham shrugged and thought of the Doctor's last words, "Live good lives," he said in a hollow voice.

A tear fell down Yaz's cheek as she faced away, listening to them speak as though in another world. She quickly brushed the water off.

Graham noticed Yaz's silence and put a hand on her shoulder, "are you ok, Yaz?"

At this, she suddenly put her head in her hands and let more and more tears fall, she wiped and wiped them away in effort to stop, but she failed to stem the flow of them.

Just like she failed to help the Doctor.

"It's ok to be sad, Yaz, just remember, you still have us," Ryan joined her other side.

"Us?" She snapped, turning to face him. "Us? How do I know that you won't leave me one day too?! Neither of you even tried to stop her! Ryan, you're the one that argued we leave her!"

"Yaz. I—" Ryan pleaded as Yaz turned to leave, shrugging Graham's hand off of her shoulder as she went.

Ryan tried to follow after her, but Graham subtly held him back, "let her go Ryan, she's not upset with you really, she just needs some time to process everything."

Ryan lowered his head in defeat, "I know. But it doesn't make me feel any less guilty."

He showed this guilt and regret on his face.

"Why don't we all go home?" Said Graham, comfortingly.

Yaz didn't know where to go. She couldn't go home in this state, not with how she was feeling.

Instead, she wandered around the estate, exiting as quickly as possible.

At this, the police officer recognised her location. Home. She checked her phone, it was the same date and only an hour after she last left the planet.

Wow Doctor, you actually got us home.

Walking down the street, Yasmin turned a corner and smiled a solemn smile, the sight in front of her was the fam's usual meeting place.

She sighed as she perched herself on the ever so familiar wall.

Maybe she was waiting for the Doctor's return?

I totally understand now, the Master, that's why she was acting differently, that's why she disappeared for hours, that's why she stood at the controls for hours.

Hours. How long had she been suffering?

How long did she know about Gallifrey being dead? Recently? This whole time? It would make her attitude lately make a lot more sense.

I should've helped her, why didn't she ask us for help?

Please don't be dead, please don't be dead.

I really need you Doctor.

The four remaining humans made their way to Graham's place.

"Here," he said, offering Ravio and Yedlarmi a seat on the couch. "You lot sit, and I'll um.. put the kettle on."

"Kettle?" Yedlarmi mouthed to Ravio.

She shrugged in response.

Ryan sat silently on one of the table's chairs.

"Sugar and milk?" He asked the pair, awkwardly.

"I, um—" Ravio struggled, looking to Yedlarmi who shrugged, embarrassedly.

"Ah." Graham realised, "never had a cuppa, have you?"

"No," Ravio answered.

"Well then," he smiled reassuringly. "I guess you're in for a treat."

Ravio nodded, appreciating the hospitality.

Whilst Graham was making the tea, he remembered his grandson's preference and replicated his with the others.

He placed Ravio and Yedlarmi's on the coffee table, then returned to the kitchen for his and Ryan's. When he reappeared in the front room, he placed Ryan's on a cup-mat and moved to sit in his chair, drink still in hand.

Graham took a sip and indicated the others do the same.

Ravio picked hers up and Yedlarmi followed. She held it cautiously and watched whilst Yedlarmi drank.

He smiled at the taste.

"This is good," Yedlarmi complimented, switching gaze between the three of them, "thank you."

Ravio drank some of her tea, "wow, this is good."

Ryan shook his head, frustrated by the topic.

Why are we sat drinking tea after everything that's happened?!

Graham noticed his grandson's discomfort, "what is it, Ryan?"

"Nothing," he said, avoiding Graham's gaze, he hurried off to the bathroom as an excuse to leave them.

Ravio felt as though she and Yedlarmi were becoming a burden, "I'm really sorry," she tried, "you've lost your friend and here we are, stopping you from grieving."

"Thanks, but I'm not the only one who's grieving, I mean, you've lost more, haven't you?"

Yedlarmi nodded in agreement and understanding for he had lost so many he held dear too.

"I'm really sorry for your losses," Graham said quietly.

"Likewise," Ravio answered.

The three, sipped their tea awkwardly, until Graham could stand it no more.

"Sorry, you'll um, have to excuse me, I need to talk to my grandson, make sure he's ok, you know? Just give me a mo.."

To be continued...
