Tom stood still, he was in the OR corridor and for the last few minutes he had pretended to look at the surgical supply trolley while he over heard every single word.
He loved Teddy, he hadn't loved a women as much since his wife. He could only dream of a life with her and he had a life with her until Allison was born and she ran back to Owen. He often wondered that if she was never pregnant with Owen's child- would she stayed with him? Now thoughts were racing around his mind. He knew he had to go to trauma 1.

He stood there just outside trauma 1 so he could just about see what was happening but he wouldn't be seen himself. Not that anyone would notice he was there anyway as they were so busy with Teddy.
'We need to take her to CT now!' Amelia demanded while Dr Grey was doing an abdominal ultrasound. 'Grey, we need to go now.'
'I think she's bleeding internally by her kidney. She needs surgery now.' Grey shouted back.
'She can live without a kidney Meredith, if she's got a brain bleed she's never going to wake up!' Amelia shouted back at her sister while promoting Deluca to prepare Teddy for transport.
'Is sssshe go...ing to be al...right.' Owen shouted. He had been standing in the corner of the room the whole time. Shocked. Despite being a highly established trauma surgeon, he was confused and upset and had no idea what was happening. Bailey stood be him, monitoring the situation and trying to offer some comfort to him.
'Okay you three calm down!' Demanded Bailey who now stepped in taking control of the situation. 'Everyone take a breathe! Grey, is she stable enough for a CT?'
'At the moment. But every second we waste, she's bleeding internally.' Meredith explained to Bailey. Both had a concerned look on their face. But the whole room knew this was a critical case.

Tom watched Deluca and Helm wheel her off to CT while Meredith and Bailey comforted the still shocked Owen.
'Teddy, hang in there.' Tom whispered as she was being wheeled off to the OR, drawing Owen's attention to him.
'Tom I'm warning you- please go.' Owen demanded loudly drawing attention to himself. He didn't care though. The sight of Tom just made his blood boil. He was the person who destroyed his family. The one time he had finally believed he deserved happiness and after years of bad timing with Teddy he finally got what he wanted. He had a family and Tom ruined that.
Tom stood there frozen. He didn't want to move. He wanted to be there for Teddy. 'Look I'm not doing anything I'm just stood over here quietly.' He peacefully protested.
'Fuck off Tom!' Owen screamed creating a even more bigger audience to the event at the shock of Owen's language. 'Just fuck off, I'm not asking you for much, I just want you to fuck off because I just can't have you here. She's not your fiancé, you don't live with her, she's not your daughter's mother. You just took advantage of her and...'
Luckily Owen stopped himself. Although the majority of the hospital had probably speculated it- he didn't want to loose any more of Teddy's dignity. She'd suffered enough. However Tom's emotions were now on fire.
With Owen's last comments, Tom lunged forward and threw his wrists at Owen's face with It narrowly just missing his nose. Owen then tried to raise his fists and punch Tom back but Tom was already ahead of the him and blocked his punch.
'Let's be honest though she's probably only with you in the first place out of obligation of Allison.' Tom fired back at Owen.
'You can not dare to speech about my daughter at all you son of a bitch!' Owen snarled back while preparing to punch Tom again.
Just then Bailey, Jackson and Amelia burst in to break up the fight with Jackson holding Owen away and Amelia holding Tom back while Bailey organised the situation.
'You two break it up NOW!' Bailey screamed while giving both of them disappointing looks. 'Both of you walk away now and calm off.'
Doing as instructed, both Amelia and Jackson led Owen and Tom away separately out of the ER.

'Tom, just please hold still.' Amelia politely asked while trying to stitch up the small but deep cut on his hand. The two were sat alone in a spare patient room but Amelia could tell Tom was getting really inpatient and restless. 'Do you want to talk to about it?'
Tom gave out a small laugh. 'Amelia, I know your Hunt's friend. You don't have to do any of this.' He whispered while trying to pull his cut hand away before Amelia tried to stitch it as if he was about to leave the room. 'You were the person who said Teddy and Owen we're inevitable and you were right.'
'I'm your friend too and I think you love her and I'm pretty sure she loves you too.'
Amelia's words made him freeze. He gave a sorry look at her.
'How do you know?' He softly asked while giving his hand back to Amelia to sew up.
'Well practically the whole hospital have heard the rumours of you two.' She announced while getting the stitches from behind her. 'But It's the way you look at her and the way she looks at you back. God your a player Tom, but you're not when you're with her.'
'This is a mess.' He commented with a melancholy tone in his voice trying to gesture his was talking about his hands but the both of them knew that wasn't true.
'I think you need to talk to Teddy, she clearly loves you but she loves Owen as well and they have a family and that's not going to go away.'
'If she ever wakes up. Amelia, I saw your face in there when you did the neuro exam. She hasn't even re-gained conscious once since the incident.' Tom whispered with a tear going down his face.
'I'm sorry Tom.' Amelia spoke while she just finished the last suture on his hand. She looked up and saw his face.
'I don't won't to lose her.' He sniffles while looking down at the floor.
Amelia just reached out to Tom and gave him a hug. He wasn't a 'huggy person' but she could tell he needed it today.
Both of them were interrupted by a page and they didn't even need to check as both knew exactly what it was. Teddy's scans were up.
'I'll do anything I can, to make sure you don't.'
