Owen sat on the supply closet. He'd refused to let Jackson help him, it's not like anything he could do would relieve any of the pain he was in. The pain that knowing how broken his relationship was but yet the person who used to be the love of his life was on deaths door. She was the mother of her child, he used to love her so much. He still did. He released that this was the supply room where he heard the voicemail and couldn't help but to think back to that night...

His phone vibrated. The fifth missed call from his mom. He just released that Teddy had probably found out the wedding was off. Not that he actually cared how devastated she was as he was just in too much pain. He was just in sheer disbelief of the whole situation. How could she do this? This was not Teddy. The Teddy he knew was the most kind and caring, selfless person. She gave up her successful career to come to Seattle so they could raise their child together. She was always his first call when he did something amazing in surgery or when something awful had happened. This year he'd been so through so much pain and trauma and finally realised he deserved happiness. He thought he was always meant to be with Teddy and it took them both a hell of a long time to realise this but know he wasn't so sure. Now when he had everything he wanted, a dream job, children and a women he wanted to spent the rest of his life with, he'd lost it all. He was drowning in his thoughts, although his body was exhausted his mind was still racing. He felt humiliated, betrayed, angry and sad because he loved Teddy and couldn't understand why she would do this? This was not Teddy.

By some miracle he finally fell asleep but woke up to now 8 missed calls from his mom and 17 from Megan. He stared at his phone and ignoring all the countless texts, hoping they would just go away but he knew he would eventually have to face the music.

He was deep in thought driving home, rehearsing over and over in his head what he was going to say in his head. Would he and Teddy get through this? He now knew she must have some sort of explanation to all of this.

A few minutes later, he arrived home. It was only 12am and despite that it felt like he's been away from home for weeks. Scanning the drive, he saw his mom's car and also Megan's. Staring at the car he, suddenly he realised that Megan was going to surprise them by coming to the wedding- after saying she couldn't get flights so short notices she must of driven all the way here. That explained why she'd rung him so many times. His thoughts were interrupted by realising that Teddy's car was gone. Panic struck him, did Teddy go off with Tom? The thought hurt. Quickly, he rushed inside.

'Owen!' Megan exclaimed. 'Where have you been?'

Evelyn looked and him as well hoping for some sort of explanation.

'Where's Teddy?' He asked calmly in response.

'She left a note on your bed.' Evelyn whispered while he dashes into his room to get it.

He stood there staring at it in disbelief.

I'm so sorry, I don't even know how to explain my action. I'm sorry I've let you, Alison and Leo down so much and you must be hurting so badly. I've packed enough clothes for about a week and I've gone to stay in a hotel near by. I'm so sorry again - I love you but those words I know will be meaningless now.

Owen continued to stare at the partly smudged scrawly written note- it was oblivious she was crying when she wrote it. In a way it hurt him to see how much pain she was in.

'Owen?' A calm concerned voiced called from the door.

He turned around to see his mom.

'What do you need?' She asked.

'Space. I need to sort this out and before I explain what happened I need to talk to Teddy first.'

'Okay.' She responded giving him a hug. 'Megan can stay with me but if you need anything you just say- okay?'

'Yes.' He agreeded nodding. It was good to know he had a loving mom and sister. But he felt bad that her sister had driven all this way to surprise him to turn up to a mess.

About a hour later, the house was quiet again- with Megan and his mom gone and the kids asleep. He was ready to contact Teddy.

'Teddy, umm.' He stuttered while trying to leave a voice mail even though he'd rehearsed what he was going to say over and over again. 'Come home, we need to talk. It's just me and the kids here.'

Time went at snail pace that afternoon. He spent that the afternoon playing with the kids to try and forgot about if Teddy would come back home or not. But never the less that's all he could think about.

'Mama?' Leo asked confused, while toddling up to Owen.

'No mama's not here.' Owen responded while tickling Leo's belly until he laughed. 'Why don't we make some a tower with Allie?'

Owen grabbed the box with bricks and took Alison out of her baby bouncer so she could crawl around the floor.

'Can you say blocks Alison.' Owen asked to the 8 month year old while she was smiling at her brother.

'Blocks!' Leo shouted while banging them on the floor.

The three of them continued to play for hours until it was time for Alison's and Leo's tea then bath then eventually bed. Soon it was just Owen awake watching TV, waiting.

8pm. Then 9 then 10 and by 11pm Owen was pretty certain Teddy was never coming back that was until he heard the door open.

He could tell she was anxious and full of emotions, overthinking every possible sinario. He heard her park her car in the drive and slowly got out into her pitch black drive way only lit by the kitchen light, which was still on. She was being as silent as possible opening the door only to see him sat on the sofa.

'Oh you're still awake?' She whispered but she wasn't surprise.

'Didn't know if you were coming back.' He coldly said while turning to face her.

'Of course I was...'

'You took half your clothes.'

Both looked at each other blankly and silently with no expression on their face.

'I'm sorry Owen. The last thing I wanted to do was to hurt you.' She whispered while dropping her bag on the floor. Her eyes were red and puffy and her face was tired. Her normally beautiful long blonde curls, were no longer wavy and Owen could tell she was a bit of a mess.

'You did though, and did you even think about Alison and Leo when you were doing Koracick? He answered quite angrily at first, staring at his distraught fiancée, who had tears rolling down her face. 'But I know you, well I thought I did, and the Teddy I knew would never do this.'

'I'm sorry.' Teddy stuttered.

'So it is definitely true then! I can't be here Teddy with you pretending everything is fine.' He announced to Teddy quite angrily. 'I'll stay in the guest room tonight but tomorrow morning I'll pack Leo's bag and me and him will spend a few days at my mum's. I will want to visit Allie though so we can make arrangements for that later.

'Owen please don't. Leo and Allison are siblings they don't deserve to be apart. You know how anxious they both get when their routine is messed up?' Teddy pleaded to him while moving closer to him.

'You did this Teddy. And yes Leo and Allison will probably suffer because of it but that's down to you.' Owen grimly whispered whole moving away from Teddy. 'God, I want to shout at you now but I won't because there are two sleeping kids here who deserve better than to be woken.'

'Then I'll go then. I just need to pack some stuff so I can be off first thing tomorrow, I stay in the guest room tonight and then I'll be off.' Teddy whispered, hoping he would reject her plan but by the look on his face she knew that wasn't going to happen.

'Well that's the least you can do.' He huffed.' I can't even look at at the moment. I mean it happened more than once though? Right?'

Teddy nodded with tears rolling down her face. She was speechless.

'How long has this been going on for?'

'Since the day I found out that Amelia's baby might be yours.'

'Why didn't you just talk to me Teddy? Why? Why when you were upset you had to run to Koracick? Can you not trust me? And then you let me find out in the most humiliating way humanely possible!' He whispered getting increasingly more agitated and louder as he spoke. He wanted to know her reasoning behind all of this but he was just angry at the moment to know.

'How did you find out?' Teddy whispered, dreading his answer.

He got out his phone and placed it on the side and turned up the volume.

'Go to bed Teddy.' He hissed coldly while giving her a cold stare and then walking to his room and closing the door while leaving Teddy to sink to the floor ashamed.

In his bedroom, he froze. Tears rolling down his eyes, he checked the baby monitor and then crawled into his bed despite knowing that he was never going to get to sleep.

He sat there still, wishing he could go back to before all of this happened but he knew he couldn't. He was confused, angry, upset all at once at nothing made sense. Never the less he knew he had to do something so he walked out the storage closet. Wiping his eyes and putting on a smile, he headed to the stairway and walked quite fast nearly running up two flights of stairs until he reached the room. Without hesitation he walked in ignoring the other people in there and went straight to the two who were in the corner. Without thinking, he sat down by his son and put his daughter, who was stood still holding onto the table, on his lap.

Without speaking, he just hugged his two children. He never wanted to let them go.
