Please don't kill me guys I have gone through alot the past 5 months...omg its been 5 month son of a bitch well the main reason this took me so long is because this isn't part of the canon show and I can just change it this was all original minus a few things but that's why. 'Oh Naruto-kun what have you done' Sarutobi thought sadly as he had watched the disturbing display of blood shed that Naruto had just wrought on his crystal ball "Neko"
The Neko Anbu appeared in front of the desk.
"Hai Hokage-sama" Neko replied
Sarutobi sighed "Go to the Yoto residence and let the family know that Uzumaki Naruto will be in my company for the evening and that they should not worry about him, also bring him a set of fresh clothing"
The long purple haired Anbu hesitated "Hai Hokage-sama" but she answered and then disappeared
Sarutobi sighed and got out of his chair and began to walk. He walked slowly through the Hokage Tower and made his way up to the Hokage Momument. Upon his arrival he saw the blonde haired boy sitting on the edge on the Fourth Hokage's head, he slowly approached as not to alarm the boy and was about to announce his presence...
"Its ok Jiji...I know its you" the boy said in a sad tone sniffling
Sarutobi was truly shocked but continued to advance till he was right behind the lad. "Naruto-kun are you alright?"
Naruto slowly turned his head and the sight broke Sarutobi's heart. The boy's clothes were stained red with blood and tears streamed down a unaturally sad long faced Naruto. Finally breaking down and beginning to cry his heart out the boy lunged latching on to the Senior Hokage.
"Shhhh Naruto-kun calm down" Sarutobi said trying to calm the boy down "Come with me"
There was no arguement as Sarutobi lead him back to his office. On his way he notified one of the secretary's to bring him a fresh set of towels. Neko had returned with the boys clothes, as she watched the pair enter the room she was shocked at the sight of the young boy.
"Hokage-sama is he alright maybe I should..." Neko asked in a caring voice behind her mask
Sarutobi held his hand up "Its alright Yuago-chan he is fine please I need you and the other Anbu in the room to leave for now and wait in the hall until I tell you to return"
Going back into Anbu mode despite still being worried about the boy she complied "Hai Hokage-sama" suddenly 5 other Anbu phased out of the wall and along with Yuago walked out of the door.
"Naruto-kun why don't you go get cleaned up in the bathroom over there" Sarutobi told him handing him his fresh clothes and pointing toward the Hokage's private bathroom the boy simply nodded his head
While Naruto cleaned up Sarutobi placed at silencing seal around the room, minutes later Naruto came out still looking sad, his normally bright blue eyes looked lifeless almost he wore the t-shirt and jeans Yuago brought him.
"Please sit down Naruto" Sarutobi ordered in a commanding but caring tone dropping the honorific. Naruto sat in the chair in front of the desk, Sarutobi removed his hat and placed it in front of him on the desk. "Naruto I want you to tell me everything, how you can use let alone control the Kyuubi's power, what exactly happened to you in the Forest of Death and why there are now three dead Sound Ninja's anything you say stays between you and me as I see fit."
The last part made new tears start to form in the young boy's eyes but he managed to speak. "Before...I answer...his name is Kurama"
Sarutobi's eyebrow raised "Who's name?"
"Kyuubi sensei's name is Kurama" Naruto replied back
"Well alright then how is it you can control...Kurama's chakra" Sarutobi asked in a more caring voice this time
And so he began, Naruto told Sarutobi everything from the agreement he struck with Kurama, the Kitsunemengan and its abilities (or at least the ones he knows so far), Orochimaru's attack on Team 7 and the Oto-nin's following attack and why he sworn he'd kill them.
"When I woke up and saw what the three sound ninja had done to Takeru and Hinata-chan all I wanted to do right there was kill them...it wasnt Kurama influencing me it was my desire and I would have..." he paused
"What stopped you" Sarutobi asked internally disappointed in his former students attack
Through out the entire discussion this was the only genuine smile to grace the boy's face. "It was Hinata-chan" he remembered the scene perfectly her wrapping her caring arms around him latching on as if she never wanted to let go. "Even through all they had done to her she stopped me from attacking them, she told me they weren't worth it...right then and there I stopped and the excess chakra from Kurama receeded...I let them go and secretly vowed that I would destroy them for what they did to her!"
Naruto clenched his fist and this didn't go unnoticed by Sarutobi.
"I killed them...It wasnt self-defense I murdered them in cold blood because they had hurt and almost killed my brother and my friend, because I don't like my friends getting hurt I killed them...and it didn't feel good while I was doing but...it like it was the right thing to do and I couldn't stop but...afterward...after the blood lust was gone I threw up...I felt horrible Jiji was I wrong to have done it"
"Naruto-kun please heed my words for ive watched you grow up into the fine young man you are now. You've struggled, then gained a family and friends and the love of another, I've seen you prosper as a shinobi and I have no doubt you'll surpass me in strength and nobilty." he paused as he saw the slight smile form on Naruto's lips. "I saw what you did tonight but I am not angry with you I am sad that you had to experience it this early. I will tell you death is apart of the shinobi life style, I know you truly do not want to kill its not in your nature but there will be a time where it will come down to kill or be killed this is a truth from which I wish we could escape...but as you are now so young and full of life and love continue down this path and continue to grow into the splendid ninja I know you will be Naruto-kun. Your fierce determination and protective nature is nothing more than the will of fire, look to that plaque on the wall and read the words" Sarutobi finished and got out of his chair
Naruto got up and walked to the left wall and began to read "Those who inherit the Will of Fire love, believes, cherishes and fight to protect the village. Where the tree leaves dance...One shall find flames...The fire's shadow will illuminate the village...And once again tree leaves shall bud anew."
"This was the belief of the First Hokage Senju Hashirama and all the Hokage and shinobi who followed, Naruto continue to be that fierce protective friend and strive to be stronger do not dwell on tonight events live your life the way you want to live it..." he patted and rubbed the young teens head with his right hand making him smile as if the weight of his actions were suddenly lifted "...now what do you say we go get some Ichiraku Ramen and finish talking about...your friend...Hinata-chan"
This caused a blush to form on Naruto's face as the two left the office.
Elsewhere
"I need your help"
"Hmm is it about the boy"
"Yes, his growth as a shinobi is increasingly impressive as...is his ability to use 'its' chakra"
"I see...so what do you need me for I have alot of...research to do while I'm here"
"Indeed but its obvious I need you to train him during the month before the Finals...tell you what I know a certain budding couple that I'm sure you could get alot of research from for a best seller...besides isn't about time you spent some time with your godson"
Yoto Residence
After an uplifting 12 bowls of Ramen with the Hokage, he returned home and explained what he had done earlier to his family. Naruto was relieved to find that instead of berating and kicking him out they were understanding and comforting him, he was never more happy to be apart of this wonderful family. Finally settling down everyone retired for the night, Naruto walked into his room and saw a manilla folder on his bed.
"What is this?" he asked opening the package and read it
Congratulation UZUMAKI NARUTO for making it to the Final Stage of the Chunin Selection Exam. You are invited to the annual festival held before the Final Exam. This festival is held to bring together the people of the many great nations and increase relations. There will be food, fun, and a massive Fireworks finale to end the night. So dress up and grab a date and have the time of your life.
Naruto pondered "A date hmmm..."
"KIT WE NEED TO TALK" Kurama told him
Naruto entered his mindscape and talk they did. Kurama was shocked when Naruto asked for him to block access to the Kitsunemengan until he is able to control his emotion. Kurama told him that he help him achieve that goal. Once they came to an agreement Naruto finally went to sleep.
The Next Day...
Sqaud 7 met up at Training Ground 7 and proceed to wait for their sensei Sasuke was the last to arrived before Kakashi.
"Good morning Naruto-kun, Sasuke-san" Hinata greeted with a slight blush on her face
Naruto returned the blush "Morning Hinata-chan...Sasuke"
Sasuke only nodded to Hinata with a slight smile then turned his attention to Naruto "Naruto...listen I dont know if it was fate that matched us up in the final exam..." he paused and smirked "...but all I will say is this dont hold back cause I wont!" he finished with a determined glare at the blond haired boy
"Funny...I was gonna tell you the same thing" Naruto said with a determined smile and brought his fist up to which Sasuke bumped it with his fist this cause Hinata to smile at her teammates seeing that the finals wont get in the way of their friendship.
Naruto turned to Hinata "Hinata-chan how do you really feel about fighting Neji"
Hinata lowered her head a bit and brought her hand up to her heart "I...I am worried, despite his mean nature he is classified as the strongest Genin in the Hyuga Clan right now and..." she stopped when she felt a hand on the bottom of her chin lifting her head up. She was met with two wonderful sights a clear view into Naruto's beautiful Cerulean eyes and his most geniune smile directed at her.
"No he's not...there is a stronger genin in the Hyuga Clan and that is you! You're much stronger than Neji because you have a goal, you said you wanted to get stronger to prove your strength to your father well now you can show everyone how strong you've become I believe in you Hinata-chan" Naruto told her with a fierce determined voice
Hinata smiled then nodded "Hai Naruto-kun"
"Well wasnt that sweet of you Naruto"
Naruto blushed but grinned "Hmph I thought I smelled late teacher and..." he flicked his wrist and the kunai shot out of his jacket sleeve and he tossed it towards a tree when suddenly another kunai clash with his.
"I'm impressed Gaki..." Anko said coming out of the shadowed part of the forest "...can't believe I'm going to say this but I'm impressed with all of you for making it to the finals"
By this time Kakashi had joined them.
"Thanks and..." he took another whiff and smirked "Sooo you're the reason Kakashi was late today hehe"
"What are you talking about dobe" Sasuke asked although he had a slight hunch
Naruto snickered "Well it's because they sme...mmph" he was stopped when Kakashi appeared behind him and put his hand on his mouth
Kakashi whispered "I'll give you a super awesome jutsu scroll if you keep quiet" he was relieved when the blonde boy nodded "Now that that's done I said before but ill say it again I'm proud of all of you but it's not over yet, you each have very tough opponents for the finals" he paused to glance at his students "During this month you'll each be trained separately to get prepared. Hinata you will continue to train with Anko..." Kakashi knelt in front of her "I agree with Naruto you've grown considerably in strength and I know you do well against your cousin but remember this he is family...do you actually know what he is fighting for, it could be different from your goals just think about that."
Hinata nodded and began to walk with Anko though she turned around and waved "Goodbye Naruto-kun"
Naruto smiled his trademark smile and waved back "Bye Hinata-chan I'll see you later"
She nodded and they walked away. Kakashi turned to his final two students and had a bit of nostalgia. 'There a mirror image of me and Obito when we were young.' He thought this because both boys stood in silence glaring at each other not out of spite or hate but out of pride. To Naruto and Sasuke this wasnt a final test to see who would move to the next rank anymore, no this was a matter of pride a battle to see who had become the strongest between the two rivals.
"Alright you two I'm not going to say im favorable of either of you to win you are both my students and have both become stronger since we began this team. Naruto I will be training Sasuke for the month please understand..." he looked to Naruto who sighed but nodded his understanding "...but I have a certain someone who is eager to train you!" he finished with an eye smile
This caught Naruto's attention he was just going to train with Kurama for the month but now... "Really who is it?"
"Well you'll have to find out for your self, you should be able to find him somewhere around the Konoha Hot Springs" he paused to reach in his pouch and hand Naruto a scroll "Here I think you'll like this jutsu"
"Hmmm ok cool" and with that Naruto lept off towards the Hot Springs
'As usual he jumped off without finding out any information' Kakashi shook his head he turned his head to his student "Well than shall we get started you do have a pretty tough opponent"
Sasuke only grunted then looked at Kakashi "Hey Kakashi..."
"Yo" Kakashi answered
"I...need to...ask you something...something important"
With Anko
As Anko lead Hinata to an unknown location she spoke with her student. "So you'll be fighting Neji huh...well we'll have our work cut out for us, you'll have to work on your families jutsu on your own but we will work on advancing your speed again. I saw how it worked on that sound guy but he didn't know what you were capable of, but Neji does and if you can enhance your speed 10 fold plus your jutsu you'll win...but you'll have to be ready to deal some massive damage to your cousin can you do that?"
Hinata hesitated for a moment but Naruto's words replayed through her head and this seal her resolve "Hai Anko-sensei"
"Hmm you had that look on your face...you were thinking about whiskers back there weren't you" Anko chuckled
Hinata's blush answered her question "Hmm yes I was"
"So have you told him how you feel yet" Anko asked actually concerned about her surrogate student
"N...no I havent he doesn't know...that I've fallen in love with him" Hinata finished with a strong blush on her face
"Ahh well I think I have an idea of how you can tell him cause lets face it, if he hasn't figured it out by now then we'll have to write it on the Hokage faces for him to get it. Come on I'll explain what you should do while we relax at the Hot Springs." Anko told her
"The Hot Springs?"
"Yea consider it a reward for doing well in the first 2 stages of the exams and you'll need to the relaxation before...I grind into dust for the next month" she finished with a sadistic grin, this caused Hinata to gulp.
With Naruto
After bouncing all through out the rooftops of the village he made it to the entrance of the of the famed Konoha Hot Springs. He was so giddy about meeting his new sensei he missed the scents of Anko and Hinata who were in the female part of the springs.
"I wonder who it is" Naruto asked nobody in particular
"IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SMART OF YOU TO ASK THE MASKED LAZY ONE WHO OR WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR BAKA" Kurama mocked while he laid in a soft patch of grass
Hearing this Naruto felt really dumb for forgetting to get that kind of information, he shook it off and began his blind search. He walked around the outer walls of the springs for a while with no luck in finding anyone. Naruto was about to go find Kakashi and ask who he was looking for when his enhanced hearing heard a slightly perverted giggle from a nearby tree. He scanned the area until he could faintly make out a seemingly old man with long white hair, wearing a red and green outfit writing in a small notebook and looking through a telescope.
'This guy couldn't possibly my new sensei he's nothing but a pervert peeking on the women in the Hot Springs' the boy thought
"TELL ME AGAIN HOW YOU CREATED THAT ABOMANATION YOU CALL THE 'SEXY JUTSU' KIT" Kurama sighed
Naruto sweat dropped after hearing this he had almost forgotten the steps he took to create that jutsu. While he was musing he heard something with his enhanced hearing.
"Soak up Gaki-hime enjoy this while it last"
"Hai origato Anko-sensei"
Naruto heard the voices and knew who they were immdeatly, this cause a vain to pop out of his head. This old ass pervert was peeking on Hinata and Anko.
'Ok this guy is dead' Naruto thought with a blush as he cocked his fist back. 'Futon: Senpuken'
He punched forward and release the massive whirlwind catching the old man of guard and knocking him and the top of the tree away.
He quickly followed the flight path for two reasons. 1 He was gonna teach this pervert a lesson and 2 he'd rather not face Anko's wrath or risk peeking at Hinata. This last thought cause him to blush as the thought of Hinata naked crossed his mind.
"WELL WELL KIT ARE YOU SURE YOUR NOT THE PERVERT THINKING OF YOUR MATE IN THIS MANNER" Kurama quipped and even though Naruto couldn't see it there was a small smirk on his giant face
With Hinata
"Anko-sensei did you see that" Hinata asked instinctively covering herself up in the water
Anko growled "Probably some pervert getting wacked...that was a Futon jutsu..." she turned to Hinata with a devious grin "Doesnt your blonde gaki know Futon Jutsu maybe he was trying to sneak a peek at you"
Hinata blushed so red you'd think the water was extremely hot, she didn't faint but the thought of Naruto seeing her naked produced some...interesting thoughts.
With Sasuke
Kakashi told Sasuke to hold his question till they got to their training spot in the mountains near Konoha. Once they reached it Kakashi told him that they would climb up to the top in order for a warm up. Sasuke could tell he was trying to blow off his question, so he rushed up past Kakashi and beat him to the top. Once Kakashi got to the top Sasuke glared down at his sensei.
"Will you answer me now" Sasuke asked reaching his hand down to help his teacher up
Kakashi sweat dropped "Well since you asked so nicely"
Sasuke pulled him up and then looked him in his one visible eye. "Do...you think I am lost in the darkness"
Kakashi sighed and had a feeling this was what his student wanted to talk about. "Umm no I don't...what brought this on?"
"Something...happened in the forest when that Hebi-teme gave me this damned mark I..made a choice...I chose to not follow the path my brother wanted for me...I still want to kill him to avenge my family but not on his terms. I need to know...did I make the right choice or am I becoming weak..."
The emotion in the question certainly caught the copycat ninja of guard he sighed. "Before we get started with training let me tell you the story of Uchiha Obito"
With Naruto
The old man landed in a nearby forest clearing, luckily any of the tree that was blown away with him didn't land on him. Still dazed he tried to get up only to be met with the point of a short blade, looking up to old man had a bit of nostalgia. Before him stood a short kid with blond hair and whisker marks pointing a sword in his face.
'So this is him hmmm little gaki' getting his "You little fool you interrupted my very important research"
Naruto growled "You were peeking on my friend and teammate you old pervert I wont stand for it who the hell are you anyway"
The old man simply batted the blade away and stood up towering over the blonde boy. He made several hand sign putting Naruto on guard he summoned a medium sized toad. "I'm glad you asked, I am the hermit of Mt Myuboku, the wise and immortal spirit that's right it is I the Toad Mountain Sage Jiraya"
Naruto sighed "What...Toad Sage?" he wasnt really not liking this guy but he was learning to control his emotions so he wouldn't blow his top...just yet "Look old man I don't care who you are there was a girl back at the hot springs who is very special to me and Id like it if some old pervy sage wasn't peeking on her" he finished pointing his sword back at the old man's throat
'Well he means business little gaki's definently got Kushina's...spunk' he sighed "I was doing research you see I am a novelist I'm a writer of great books such as this..." he reached into his red vest and pulled out a small orange book one that Naruto knew all to well and an image of his masked teacher popped in his mind.
"Wait a minute you wrote the Icha Icha books..." he started
"Yes I see you know it..." Jiraya smiled
"Ok ok thats all fine and dandy but I don't have all day to deal with you pervy sage I have to find my trainer for the Chunin Exams Finals..." he glared at Jiraya and put away his sword "...don't let me catch you peeking at my friend again or it wont end well for you" he began to walk away...
"And who do you think Kakashi asked to train you...Naruto" Jiraya said in a bit more serious tone
Naruto turned around and looked dumbfounded "Y...You're my trainer you...you pervy sage"
"I wish you'd stop calling me that gaki" Jiraya sweat dropped "Yes I'm going to be training you but its gonna take up alot of my research time so you have to earn to right kid if you can find me before sundown Ill train you if not...well good luck finding someone else to train you and...go" and with that the old man disappeared but Naruto wasnt worried in fact he was smirking.
"Old fool I have your scent this should be interesting" he smiled his wide foxy grin took one whiff of the air and took off towards the old perverts location
45 seconds later
"I...I don't believe it...how d...did you find me so fast" Jiraya was clearly shocked the boy had found him peeking on some girls at the waterfalls just outside of Konoha
Naruto shrugged "Lets just say I followed my nose...what I wanna know is why you were peeking on those girls why do you have to be a pervert" he sighed
"I'm not a pervert kid...IM A SUPER PERVERT" Jiraya finished in a weird pose
Naruto face dropped he was at a loss for words what could this old perverted man teach him.
"You seem shocked and probably wondering what I can teach you but they don't call me the Toad Sage for nothing kid I have a large array of super amazing jutsu I can teach you" he could see the large smile forming on the boys face. 'Wow Kakashi was right mention something about new jutsu and he gets super excited...he's just like them' "What do you say kid let's get started"
And so the Training month began for the remaining genin in the Chunin Exams. Jiraya went on to teach Naruto a jutsu that would soon shape his future. Sasuke and Kakashi began training with the Sharingan. Anko true to her word ran Hinata into the ground, but the Hyuga stayed true to her silent promise to not give up this impressed Anko. Takeru began is intense training with both Hayate and Ino who true to her word was whipping Takeru in to shape. She was still scared for him but trusted his training and judgement. All the other genin where heavy into their own training...well except for Shikamaru who was still being lazy, and Gaara well...he was just being Gaara.
One week into the month
"Well well if it isn't the exam proctor what the hell do you think you are doing out here all alone" Baki the Jonin sensei of the Sand Genin asked as he caught up to a fleeing Hayate.
Hayate had been assigned by Sarutobi to track and spy on Kabuto. The Hokage knew that this boy was some how tied to Orochimaru but he had to know how. Hayate found Kabuto having a meeting with this Sand ninja and what he over heard confirmed the Hokage's thoughts.
"It looks like I have no choice but to fight" the sickly shinobi gripped his sword preparing to stand his ground
The fight was short and Hayate lost, Baki took the upper hand and using a wind jutsu slashed opened his chest. Kabuto came shortly after and finished him off then took some of his DNA, removing his corpse's odour in the process.
Elsewhere
In the middle of a very...Nice dream featuring Ino, Takeru shot up out of the bed clutching at his chest. It was a pain that felt familar to him but then it stopped.
"Hnng what the hell..." he questioned when he felt something run down his face. Reaching his hand up he felt a tear
'Whats going on...some...something is wrong'
The Next Morning
A large number of crows flew in the air above a building in the north sector of the village. A squad of Anbu including Neko surrounded Hayate's body. Neko picked up the discarded sword slowly. Due to her status as an Anbu Yugao had to remain stoic, when on the inside she could feel her heart shattering as she held the sword of the man she loved.
"Hayate...what on earth happened to you" she said softly as she gripped the sword tightly
Training Ground 6
Takeru was in the middle of the clearing working on his godfathers jutsu. He had been able to manage creating two shadow clones any more and he'd be close to chakra exhaustion, but he was coming along quite nicely in the words of Hayate who told him this earlier. He was done and now taking a break when Ino arrived. Seeing she was here he rushed and embraced her.
Blushing heavily she returned the embrace and shared a loving kiss with him. "Well good morning to you too Take-kun...what was that for?"
Realizing what he did he blushed and rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. "Hmm just...saying...goodmorning" he chuckled
Ino sighed and looked at him with a glare. "T-A-K-E-R-U..."
"Alright fine...I had a bad feeling last night that something bad had happened so I was just really glad to see that you are alright." Takeru told her leaning back against a tree.
"Oh Take-kun..." she cupped his face and pecked his lips with a short kiss then rested her head upon his chest. "Hey I know what would cheer you up"
"Oh and whats that Ino-chan?" he said resting his head on the top of hers
"Taking me to the Chunin Exams Festival"
He smiled and chuckled "Oh really is that your way of asking me or are you telling me I'm going to take you regardless"
She lifted her head up with a smile "Hmm I'll let you decide" she giggled as they started making out again
A moment later and Yugao dressed in full Anbu gear, her mask covering her red eyes appeared before the couple.
"Morning Ka-san whats...up..." Takeru stopped him self something was wrong he could feel it normally she would react quickly when he call her that
"Ta...Takeru you...you need to come with me now please...there is something you need to see..." she told him her walls slowly starting to break down brick by brick
Jonin Assembly Room
"Some of you might not have heard the news...the body of Gekko Hayate was found near Kyikyo Castle" Sarutobi sighed as he delivered the news to his soldiers
This caused murmurs to erupt through out the room. Anko quickly jumped to blaming Orochimaru but Kakashi told her to not make that assumption so quickly. He told her and everyone about the Sound Spy Kabuto of which Hayate was trailing. Another Jonin quickly sugguested that the Exams be canceled but Sarutobi told them the threat Orochimaru told to Anko.
"I do know this Orochimaru does plan to invade sooner or later"
Suddenly Anko came to a realization "The Chunin Final Exam think about it all those people in one place its a high chance that is when he will strike"
Sarutobi sighed but nodded "Perhaps you are right Anko...for right now we will remain on high alert and prepare for what might come besides..." he paused he looked at all of his Jonin and thought about his chunin and promising Genin "...I have complete trust in every single one of you when and if the time comes we will gather the strength of Konohakagure no Sato and fight if we must. All Jonin with genin fighting in the finals remain everyone else is dismissed."
Every Jonin in attendance nodded in pure determination to protect their home.
Waterfalls
Naruto and Jiraya were busy will their early morning spar. Jiraya was impressed with the boy's progress and every morning they met for training they would start with a spar, and even with Naruto not using the Kitsunemegan he was still barely holding his on with the Toad Sannin. As far as the ultimate super awesome jutsu as Naruto put it he had begun to start the basic method for it and was coming along nicely.
Konoha Hospital-Morgue
Ino was at a loss for words she had to stand there and watch the one she cared about the most go through the pain of loss...again. He was grabbing his chest where his heart is and was crying not sobbing as he stared at the lifeless body of his Godfather...no his father. The man had been there helping his grandparents to raise him, train him to help reach his goal...to show him a fatherly paternal love no one else could and now he was gone the third parent Takeru had lost.
"Tou-san..."
Ino turned and saw Yugao leaning against the wall, she couldnt see it through her mask but she could tell she had been crying as well. She had met the female Anbu only a hand full of times but she knew enough about the Anbu that they were suppose to be emotionless and presice but seeing the woman cry her heart out at the lost of the man she loved reminded Ino of one thing...they were ninja but they were still human. She reach out and placed a gentle hand on her boyfriends shoulder.
"Takeru-kun...Yugao-san I am...im so sorry for your loss"
"I never knew my biological father...he died while I was just a baby now the only other father in my life beside jiji is gone..." his fist clenched as he turned to the other two Anbu in the room "Do you have any idea who did this and why"
"I believe I can answer that young Takeru" a new voice called out before the other Anbu could answer. Takeru and Ino turned to find The Hokage standing in the door. "I sent Hayate on a mission to spy on an Oto-nin spy...Yakushi Kabuto..."
Both Takeru's and Ino's eye widened as they remembered who that was. Takeru growled but simmered slightly as Ino tried to calm him down.
"We believe it was Kabuto who killed Hayate we have Anbu scowering the village looking for him." Sarutobi walked up and knelt down in front of Takeru "I am truly sorry Takeru but remember this Hayate was not only your godfather or teacher he was your biggest supporter he believed with all is might that you will be a great Shinobi some day, continue on your set path...and make him proud."
Takeru began to tear up once again and turned to look at Hayate's dead body as everyone watched on. "I'll do it Tou-san...I'll take everything you've taught me and make you proud I promise...Dattebayo" he looked back to everyone in the room with a fiery determination emiting from his core making Ino smile "Excuse me Hokage-sama but I must go finish my training" he then shunshin out of the room suprising the other Anbu
Yugao who had finally steeled her self knelt before Sarutobi "Hokage-sama may I..."
He held his hand up and nodded yes and she quickly disappeared. Sarutobi nodded to his Anbu and they filed out of the room as he ushered Ino out as well.
"Ino please continue to be there for Takeru and his family in a time like this he will need the support of the one he loves more than ever, will you do this for me?"
Ino nodded "Hai Hokage-sama"
With Takeru
The moment Takeru appeared back in his training grounds he was met with the sight of Yugao.
"You've learned alot but you're still a bit to slow kid" Yugao spoke with her mask still on
Takeru looked at her with a look she wasnt expecting a deadly glare. "...Leave me alone I need to train...to kill Kabuto"
She removed her mask dropping it on the ground as she walked towards the boy. "Takeru..."
"No I don't want to hear it damn it.." he unexpectedly drew his sword and pounced she defended with a kunai letting the boy vent his anger "...I know you're going to tell me that he's none of my concern that I should just let it go..." she continued blocking and dodging as he spoke "...well I wont let it go..." the held back tears began to burst forth once more "...he was my father (sob) the only one I ever knew and he killed him Ka-san...(sob)...they killed him and..." they clashed once more Yugao simply knocking his sword away then...
He was silenced as Yugao dropped to her knees and embraced the young child both letting the pain and tears consume them for a moment. Right now they were not shinobi of Konoha, he was not a strong prideful Tokubetsu-Jonin in training, she was not a deadly and loyal member of the Anbu Black Ops. They were a fatherless child and a broken-hearted lover in the simplest of terms bonded if not by blood, than by the pain of loss...they were a mother and son.
"Takeru...I would never say any of those things...I'm going to continue training you...my son and only together will we kill that bastard..." she made him look her in the eyes "but first things first we have to prepare you for your chunin exam match now get up we've got work to do"
Takeru was at a loss for words so he simply nodded and smiled slightly.
In the Allyways
The rest of the day had progressed smoothly for every else in the village. Naruto was taking the back way home using the slow path to think about his training and...other things. During this thought process the blond haired boy did not see the raven haired beauty resting on the wooden fence and soon tripped over her.
"Hey whats the big idea..." he was about to rail on the person who tripped him when he noticed it was a very tired and beat up Hinata sitting on the ground.
"Hinata-chan are you alright" he kneels down to help her up
She nods slightly "Oh Naruto-kun...yes Im alright I just had a...long day of training with Anko-sensei" she said leaning on the wooden fence just to stay standing
"She must be working you to the bone..." he said noticing that she was about fall he swiftly scooped his friend and teammate in his arms bridal style
"Eeep" the sudden action cause Hinata to squeal in surprise "Na Naruto-kun what are you doing"
"You were about to drop I didn't want to see you fall, come on I'll take you home" he smiled at her
Hinata's heart was beating wildly here she was in the arms of the one she loves and he doesn't even know it. "A...Alright thankkkkk youuuu" she screamed as Naruto lept up to the roof tops
During the short romp Hinata clung to Naruto's jacket almost snuggling up to it she was loving every minute of this. Naruto held her tightly not wanting to drop or hurt the girl in his arms. Finally leaving the rooftops he began the stroll down the path way to the Hyuga House. Hinata reluctantly asked him to sit her down on the passing bench.
"There we go" he said as he sat her down gently
"Thank you Naruto-kun" she smiled as he sat next to her she suddenly remembered her talk with Anko...she was about to make take a huge step. "Ummm..." she begin messing with her fingers something she hasn't done in a while "...Naruto-kun would you like to go to the Chunin Exams Festival with me?" she finished rather quickly
Naruto was stunned here he was about to ask her the same question. 'She's come so far she's not a shy as she used to be' he smiled "Hey I was about to ask you that..." he mocked pausing seeing the blush deepen on her face so did his "Yes I would love to go with you Hinata-chan"
Her heart skipped a beat and she did something even more bold and wrapped her arms around our blond hero's neck in a quick embrace. Naruto instinctively wrapped his arms around her waist. This embrace only lasted for a short second. Hinata slowly eased from around his neck and their faces were only inches apart both heavy with bright red blushes.
"Umm so I...guess I'll p...pick you up at 12:00...s...since the festival starts at...1:00" he spoke softly
She could feel his warm breath so close upon her face...her lips, so close it would only take one inch to finally taste the object of her affection but she could only muster up enough courage to softly say "Hai Na...Naruto-kun"
He smiled "Its...a...date th..then I guess I...better get...going"
Both parties reluctantly let go of each other and awkwardly went their separate ways with a smile and huge blushes upon their faces.
Somewhere Close by...
"Damn they were so close, well I'll have to reward her for at least working up the courage to ask him" Anko whispered to her self
"Im surprised she had enough energy to even speak when I gave you my student it wasnt so she could be your personal training dummy" a voice whispered behind her
Anko tensed up for a moment instinctively tossing a kunai only for it to caught in the hole swinging around the man's finger. "Kashi-kun you know better than to be sneaking up on me"
Kakashi eye smiled "Well you should know better than to spy on our students"
She chuckled "Well you can't blame me for wanting to help my student get in the gaki's pants, besides shouldn't you be training the emo"
Kakashi chuckled perversely "He said he had something important to do today, I think I have a good idea what that is"
TRAINING GROUND 13
Sakura may not have made into the finals but she wouldn't let that stop her from trying to get stronger. She had used this month to train in secret and improve on her taijutsu, ninjutsu and genjutsu. The pinkette had a mat tied to a tree and had been going at it for the whole day.
'I will not be labeled as weak...not anymore. Ino, that weapon girl Ten-Ten, that Suna girl and even Hinata shy little wallflower Hinata had proved her strength against that sound guy what did I do fought to a draw with Ino didn't win or lose'
For every thought she had she punched and kicked the mat harder and harder slowly tearing away her ninja wrap and beginning to bleed. Ever since that talk with Ino about not obsessing over Sasuke and focusing on her training and then joining Team 8 she begin by learning from the Genjutsu Mistress of Konoha she had thought that the slightly more advanced Genjutsu she learned had given her and edge but it wasn't enough.

She cocked her left fist and delivered a slight chakra enhanced punch that went right through the mat and denting the tree behind it. She paused panting out of breath, sweat dripped down every inch of her body. She finally removed her bloodied fist from inside the tree, blood dripped down off her knuckles on to the ground. Sakura had also been training her senses all day long by channeling a small amount of chakra into her ears and nose, so at this point her senses were slightly heightened so when she spun around with a round house kick only to have it caught she threw a punch with her right hand only to have it caught as well, she was surprised to see who it was she attacked.
"Hmmm someone's jumpy" a black-haired boy remarked with a small smirk
"Sa...Sasuke...wha...what are you doing here?" the pinkette asked with a slight blush on her face at the contact
Sasuke remained silent but a very very small blush heated his cheeks and a small smile came upon his lips.
Hokage Mansion
Sarutobi stood outside and looked out at his village he smiled as a gentle breeze flowed by. He walked back to his office and took out three empty scrolls and began writing down in each of them. He placed two of them in his desk drawer and kept one on his person.
2 Weeks Later Day of Festival
"Oh look at my handsome boys" Maruya cheered as Takeru and Naruto came down stairs in their yukatas. Naruto's was a simple but emaculate one taking cues from his old track suit the base color was navy blue but on the back were small redish/orange embers swirling towards the center of his back forming the Uzumaki Symbol (of which he doesn't know the meaning...yet). Takeru's yukata was black with a dark forest green leaf pattern starting from the left shoulder going down the arm and covering most of the back.
Takeru has slowly been dealing with the lost of Hayate and has had Naruto, Ino and his grandparents right by his side helping him through. Today he was going to try to have a good time with Ino and his friends. Naruto was actually nervous about how today would go with Hinata but he'd still make sure she'd have the best day of her life. The boys left after hearing that their grandparents would be attending the festival a little later.
"How you holding up today nii-san" Naruto asked
Takeru smiled "Yea I'm good...Hayate-sensei wouldnt want me be dwell on his death I know now he died doing his duty as a shinobi and I'm really proud of that, beside Ino would kill me"
Naruto chuckled "Yeah she'd most likely knock you into next week...I don't see how you do it, having a girlfriend seems like alot of work." he paused "I guess I'm kinda nervous ya know I really like Hinata but I don't know what to do on a date..." he's head lowered "...and I dare not ask Ero-sannin"
This made Takeru laugh truly laugh something he's needed "Look Otouto you have nothing to worry about as long as you make Hinata happy..." 'Which you seem to do by just looking at her' Takeru chuckled at his thought "...and make sure you both have a good time this will be and amazing night for you dattebayo"
Naruto smiled a wide foxy grin "Thanks Nii-san" they fist bumped before each turning to go towards their respective dates houses.
With Takeru
Takeru made it to Ino's house and walked into the flower shop entrance. He saw Inoichi supervising the moving of a large amount of flowers on to a cart most likely taking them to a booth at the festival.
"Good afternoon Inoichi-san" he said as he approached his girlfriends father
Inoichi a bit startled turned around and saw the young shinobi "Afternoon Takeru you're here a bit early"
The onyx haired boy smiled "Yes sir I told Ino id be here while she's getting ready...I know it takes a while" he whispered the last part
Inoichi chuckled "This is true and..."
"Watch it Daddy...you might get him in trouble"
Both men turned and saw Ino as she was reaching the last step. Takeru was once again rendered speechless as he looked at her. Ino's kimono was a silk light royal purple base with black trim then there was a pink flower pattern at different spots on the Kimono, the purple on the arms gradually went from royal purple to lavender as it got closer to her forearms. (Link to picture on my page). Her hair was in bun style with her bangs covering her right eye.
Inoichi smiled at his daughter "You look beautiful Princess buuut I think you make have broken your date" he exclaimed as he waved his hand in front of Takeru's face and recived no movement at all.
Ino giggled as she walked over to Takeru and kissed his cheek snapping him back to reality.
"Wow Ino-chan you look amazing" Takeru blushed
Ino blushed as well "Thank you Takeru-kun you look very handsome you ready to go?"
"I am if you are" he replied as she took his arm and headed out the door
"Bye daddy"
"You two have fun" Inoichi smiled as he watched his daughter walk out the door with her boyfriend he trusted Takeru and respected his growing skill as a shinobi...his babygirl was in good hands.
With Hinata
Hinata was inside finishing up...in truth the Hyuga Heiress was both truly happy and nervous. She was going on a date with Naruto, the same Naruto she's fallen in love with, the same one that inspired her to get stronger. Just thinking about it made her light-headed but she would not faint, she had changed she wasnt the same shy wallflower the only person to even make her feel that way was Naruto as she finished brushing her hair her little sister Hanabi opened her door and walked in.
"Nee-san your teammate is here waiting for you" the small Hyuga said to her sister
Hinata's face heated up with a blush 'N...Naruto-kun is here already' "Thank you Hanabi"
"Why do you always turn red when Naruto comes around are you alergic to him or something"
Hinata giggled "I'll tell you later Imouto"
Hanabi shook her head "Alright whatever"
With Naruto
The Blazing Fox of Konoha made it to Hinata's house and was made to wait outside the front gate by the Hyuga Gate guard. So he went to wait on the bench close to the compound. He didn't need to look up, he heard the foot steps and smelled the familar scent and was doing his best to remain calm and happy.
"What are you doi..." a voice began to ask before he was cut off
"Look Neji me and you got off on the wrong foot that's a fact and once the exam is over Id like to think we could start over but right now at this time I want to have a great day with Hinata-chan..." he voice deepened a bit "...so please refrain from speaking any trash or saying anything bad about her save them for if we meet in battle in the final exam...considering you can get pass your cousin..." he smiled his voice relaxing and turning normal "...which I don't think you can"
A very large tick mark grew on Neji's head he glared daggers at the blond boy talking to him in such a way. "Very well then Uzumaki we shall see" and with that he headed towards the festival.
As soon as Neji left and was out of sight the door opened and there stood Hinata. Naruto looked up and was stunned Hinata wore a lavender Kimono with a sakura tree design only the petals were purple and flowing off the branches like the wind was blowing them away it was tied with a purple sash. Her hair stayed the slowly walked up to each other with a blush upon both there faces.
"H...Hinata-chan you look really really nice " a nervous looking Naruto complemeted "Your kimono really brings out your eyes"
Hinata's face burned bright "T...Thank you Naruto-kun you look very handsome yourself, I...I like your yukata"
Naruto grinned ear to ear "Ummm you ready to go"
"Hai Naruto-kun" she nodded sweetly and the two headed on their way. Naruto's nose twitched a bit and out of the corner of his eye looked directly back at a one spot of the Hyuga compound with a quick glare then turned his attention back to Hinata.

Hiashi was at a loss for words, he disengaged his dojutsu and frowned abit. 'It couldnt be...did he really know I was looking at them...this boy...'
Naruto and Hinata walked toward the festival which was held in the village. The Chunin Exams festival was a bit smaller than any of the other festival and was only held in the village and not the surrounding forest area. As they got closer to the festival entrance Naruto sighed he hoped what happened next would not put a damper on the fun they were already having.
"Umm Hinat..." he started but froze
"KIT DONT WORRY ABOUT IT I KNOW WHAT YOU WERE ABOUT TO DO"
'Kurama-sensei you know how the villagers will act I dont want to bring that on Hinata-chan'
"I KNOW BOY LISTEN I WILL PRODUCE A THIN VEIL OF CHAKRA TO MAKE A GENJUTSU THAT HIDES YOUR APPEARANCE YOU ONLY NEED TO LOOK AT YOUR MATE OR COMRADES FOR THEM TO SEE THROUGH THE GENJUTSU"
'Th...thank you Kurama'
Kurama said nothing but growled and began the process. Naruto stopped walking which caught Hinata's attention. The change had already happen and as soon as she turned around Naruto looked her dead in the eye and it was if nothing had changed. She blushed at Naruto's close proximity and watched as he smiled wide.
"You ready to have some fun Hinata-chan" he asked excitedly
She genuinly smiled and nodded her head and that's all it took Naruto gently took her hand and the entered the village. The sound of children's laughter, the crowd of people playing games and just generally having a good time filled the air. Naruto and Hinata started out playing some games and the day went on from there, they saw their friends and it was most shocking to find that Sasuke had asked and come with Sakura. Some of their teachers were there as well Anko was with Kakashi and Kurenai was hanging out with Asuma everyone was having a good time.
Soon night fell and everyone made there way to a nice spot to view the big finale for the night the Fireworks. Naruto told Hinata that he knew a great spot to watch the them and took her to his thinking spot atop the 4th Hokage head. Unknown to Hinata Naruto had a clone bring a blanket up there for them to sit on. Before sitting down Hinata looking out over the village and took in the breathless view of Konoha at night all the lights, lanterns and some of the festival bonfires illuminating the great village.
"Naruto-kun the view up here is beautiful" she sighed as they both sat down
He smiled a slightly sad smiled "Yeah it is I come up here to think or when I just wanted to get away..." the last part he tried to whisper but Hinata caught it.
"Get away fr...from what?" she asked nervously not wanting to upset him and ruin a perfect day but she wanted desperately to know more about him
Realizing she had caught what he said he tried to play it off "O..ooh you know just life and stuff" he chuckled
"Naruto-kun..." she pleaded 'Please let me in'
The way she said it so soft and with feeling and the caring look in her beautiful white eyes broke him he wanted to tell her so bad...now was his chance. Sighing he ran his hand through his hair. "I would come up here...to get away from them" he said as he pointed to the villagers.
Hinata was confused "Why would you need to get away from the villagers"
He sighed sadly remembering his early childhood before moving in with the Yoto's "Hinata...there is a reason I am called a monster, a reason we would get dirty looks from the older villagers as we walked down the street after missions, its...because of what was put inside me..." he paused about to tell his crush his deepest secret "I am the jinchuriki of the Kyuubi no Yoko Kurama..."
Pure shock is on Hinata's face not fear. Her friend, her love, her Naruto-kun holds inside him the most powerful bijuu in the world. She remembers all the stories they told them about that night in the academy, that horrible monster was inside Naruto.
Taking her silence as nothing but shock and worry he decides to continue. Loosing his Yukata slightly he slid out of the top of it and activated his Kitsunemengan, this caused a blush to appear on her face on instinct as she gazed into his beautiful red eyes just as much as his blue ones she thought. Retaining his normal appearance sans his blood red eyes the seal appeared on his stomach. Reaching out without thinking she softly touched the seal at the center of his stomach. Hinata could feel the same warmth she felt that day in the Forest of Death.
"But why you Naruto-kun" she asked on the verge of tears
"I dont know, know one ever told me anything, for 12 years I never knew why most of the older villagers hated me besides the Hokage, the Yoto's, Teuchi and Iruka. Why I was always attacked and had to either run for my life or end up in the hospital beaten close to death..."
She couldn't take hearing anymore and latched on to Naruto's chest neverminding that he was shirtless and started crying. Just imagining what Naruto had to go through made her younger time with her father seem like a cake walk.
"Hey Hinata-chan its ok...please don't cry..." he lifted her head up placing a hand on her cheek and wiped her tears away looking into her eyes their faces so close "Please don't cry for my past...it was people like you and Takeru who saved me from my loneliness. Having family, friends...someone I deeply care about drives me to work hard everyday to use Kurama's power to protect you all and gain the respect of those who hate and fear us."
Hinata looked into his eyes which had changed back to his normal blue and she saw it, the reason she had fallen in love with him his determination. "Naruto-kun..." she said softly unknowingly inching closer
"Hinata..." he said gazing into her eyes his hand still on her cheek her skin so soft.
Boldly closing the gap between them Naruto all be it a bit awkward kissed Hinata's lips. She fell into the kiss melting in his touch. 'Naruto-kun kissed me...I cant believe I'm kissing Naruto-kun.'
As the two genin finally tasted each others lips. The fireworks started bursting in the air, many color's filled the night sky illuminating the couple and many others. Takeru stood holding Ino around her waist as they watched the fireworks. Anko, Kakashi, Asuma and Kurenai all sat together a couple of bottles of saké on the table they were at. Sasuke and Sakura stood next to each other that had actually had a great night. Sakura could tell that Sasuke was coming out of his shell if only a little she was still shocked that he even asked her out. Suddenly she felt a hand grab hers and blushed almost as red as an Uzumaki's hair. 'Omg Sasuke-kun is holding my hand'. A rather faint blush was on Sasuke's face but for the first time in a long time he was happy.
Back with our favorite Couple
Naruto and Hinata continued their lip lock during the fireworks show. The need for air became to great and what seemed like a lifetime was only 5 minutes. The glow of the colors still shining upon them as the fireworks died down they gazed into each others eyes, chests heaving slightly.
"Naruto-kun you have no idea how long I've wanted to do that" Hinata said breathlessly soft
Naruto smiled "Me...too Hinata-hime"
Her already red blush grew wider at the new honorific and what happened next would seal both their fates.
She smiled "I love you...Naruto-kun"
