Hi! Sorry for the long update! Life was just so hectic I jut kept forgetting to update! So glad Grey's is back though!

He sat there by her bedside holding her hand and stroking her long golden hair that hung from her bandaged head. He stayed by her side until the sun started to rise and he squeezed her hand and kissed her on her cheek for the final time until he got up and left the room.

'Teddy?'

'I think she's waking up?' A voice called.

'Teddy?' A voice whispered calmly gradually getting louder. 'Teddy, can you hear me. Teddy?'

'Her eyes are opening.' The doctor stated while looking at the screen. 'She's breathing on her own as well so we can take her off the vent.'

'Teddy, we're just going to take the tube out. It may be a bit uncomfortable but it will be over quick.' The other person in the room kindly explained while the other doctor started to turn off the vent and take the tube out.

'Mom, Allison?' Teddy whispered while coughing with her eyes still half shut.

'Teddy, sweetie it's Dr Bailey and Megan Hunt. Allison is upstairs in daycare. Can you squeeze my hand please.' Bailey explained softly while holding her hand waiting for Teddy squeeze it. 'Can you page Dr shepherd?' She whispered to the nearby nurse.

'Come on Teddy, you can squeeze my hand. It's me Megan.' Megan shouted getting more frustrated and worried. 'Come on Teddy, just squeeze my hand. Teddy please!' She begged.

'Megan.' Bailey whispered while giving Megan a comforting look and pulling her way from Teddy. 'Let her have some rest this could just be from the sedation. She's just gone through major brain surgery, she probably just needs time but Amelia should be able to tell us more.'

'I hope so.' She whispered giving Teddy a worried look.

About 10 minutes later Amelia had arrived to the room. Opening the sliding door, she was met by Megan who was sat by Teddy's bedside.

'Can you tell us anything then?' Megan demanded turning round and giving a stern look at Amelia who was still examining Teddy.

'Her reflexes are good and the reports show good brain activity.' Amelia professionally responded while looking at a adjacent screen showing Teddy's brain waves.

'Then why isn't she responding properly!' Megan demanded while shouting loud enough to bring the nurses attention in the next room.

'Megan, I know you don't like me. You made that perfectly obvious the first time we met but calm down. We both know that she needs time so don't take your frustration about Owen on this.' Amelia calmly answered but was interrupted by someone walking into the room.

'How is she?' He quietly asked while looking straight at Teddy.

'Let me explain Owen.'

Half a hour later, Megan had gone to get something to eat and it left just Owen and Amelia in the room. Both of them were sat there by her bedside slightly awkwardly until Amelia broke the silence.

'I really didn't like Teddy when I first met her. She was a better person to you when she was the other side of the world than when I was your wife. She was always in your corner. I hated her because when Megan was in the hospital she was the person you needed not me. I don't know all your history together but what I do know is that Teddy is one of the selfless kindest people I have met. I realised this when she made sure Maggie didn't operate on Betty so if anything happened she could take the blame and be the hated one. Alright she's made some mistake but think about it Owen she didn't really have anyone here in Seattle expect you... and Tom. I know she moved here 10 years ago for you and moved here again so you can be part of your baby's life. For god's sake's Owen she loves you, and I know you love her. So just move on and be together as you two are just inevitable.' Amelia ranted looking at Owen and then back at Teddy. 'I have my happy family, you have yours.'

Owen sat there thinking, giving a weak smile at Amelia. Amelia slowly got up and left the room leaving Owen to ponder more.

A few minutes later he was distracted by his thoughts with the noise of someone opening the sliding doors into the room.

'What are you thinking about.' She questioned while standing next to him.

'Mom?' Owen exclaimed looking to the side of him. 'I thought you were looking after Leo and Allison?'

'I thought I would drop them off in daycare just so their routine doesn't change from normal.' She calmly explained.

'Of course.' Owen responded after looking at his phone and realising the date and time. 'It's Thursday... thank you.'

'Anyway I wanted to here for you and... Teddy.'

Owen looked up at his mom at the mention of Teddy's name.

'I know what she did Owen!' Evelyn commented while breaking eye contact with her son and looking at the sleeping Teddy. 'And I know that it's been hard for her over the last few months.'

'That can't really justify what she did though!' Owen fired back.

'Really?' His mom questioned. 'She's been your second best all the way up to until Allison was born. I'm not justifying what she's done but she has lost all her family Owen, She's lost her parents, her best friend and her husband. She's bound to have security issues.'

'Why didn't she speak to me then? Why did she have to go to him?' Owen quietly whispered. The thought of him just made his whole body rage with anger.

'I don't know I can't speak for Teddy. But she's a good person, Owen, and good people make mistakes.'

'I know she's a good person, I'm just...' Owen whispered while looking straight at Teddy.

'You proposed to 4 women and mom only gave you the Hunt ring for Teddy.' A voice butted in. 'You are Teddy are just meant to be.'

'What if she has depicts?' Owen whispered looking at his mom and sister.

Silence filled the room, no one dared to answer.
