CH 22 EXPLOSIVE BATTLE OF THE RIVAL GENIN
The swirl of leaves dispursed and there stood Sasuke and Kakashi. As many of the rookies saw the other night his hair was a bit longer a feature Sakura had no problems with. The black haired boy also sported a new black uchiha outfit with added training wraps on his arms and legs.
Stands
'Sasuke-kun you're ok...thank kami' Sakura breathed a sigh of relief
The crowd went wild seeing the 'Last' Uchiha show up at last, this was the fight they had all come to see. The two fighters in the arena said nothing to each other not out of hate but out of pride and respect as rivals.
"Took you long enough teme and here I thought you werent gonna show" Naruto smirked crossing his arms
"Hmph Im not letting you off that easy dobe...besides this has been long overdue, time to see who's the strongest between us" Sasuke replied
"For once we agree"
Kakashi and Genma had been watching the two banter back and forth. "Yo just how late are we please tell me he's not disqulified" he said rubbing the back of his head
"You're lucky Naruto caught your scent I was seconds away from calling the match and as for how late you are, you missed your student beating Neji." Genma replied
"Oh thank Kami, so Hinata beat Neji hmm" he nodded 'You've truly come along way Hinata Im proud of you' he turned to his two students "Alright you two give em a good show and try not to kill each other...too much"
Both boys still staring at each other nodded "Hai sensei" they both replied
He gulped and turned to Genma "When you start I suggest getting to higher ground a safe distance away from them"
"Agreed" he watched Kakashi poof away
Stands
"Man these two are gonna tear it up" Choji commented
"They are rivals and to them this match isnt just about making chunin level it means so much more to them" Ino replied knowing how a rival can push your progress glancing at Sakura
"Geez Ino you're starting to sound like Takeru" Kiba joked this earned him a nice lump on his head from a blushing Ino
Sakura laughed at her friend but then turned to the field 'Good luck Sasuke-kun do your best'
"Yes this will be a youthful battle indeed"
They all turn around to see Guy and Rock Lee who was on a crutch. They all greeted him and said how glad they were to see Lee up and well.
He thanked them all and then turned his attention to the field just as Kakashi arrived.
'Naruto-kun you've earned the chance to face your rival in combat, while could not' he gripped his crutch hard
'Oh Lee...' Guy thought as he noticed his student
Competitors Area
'Good luck Sasuke-san, Naruto-kun' Hinata prayed
Takeru smiled "Now this is gonna be a fun match to watch"
"Yea yea I just wish they'd get started already" Shikamaru sighed
Shino stared at the two fighter 'They are in a league of there own such power and chakra I can feel it and they havent even started yet'
The sand siblings just stood there even though they said nothing, Temari and Kankuro knew this was going to be a good match. Gaara (of le Funk) was trembling with anticipation.
Infermiry
Neji lay upon the bed wrapped up in bandages covering the cuts he recived in battle. He noticed someone approaching and struggle to lift his head. To his surprise the person come to visit him was none other the Hiashi. The man closed the door behind him.
Arena
"Let the third match begin...you may start when ready"
The crowd went wild again, Genma got the hell out of there and both boys just stood there. The very earth beneath the stadium begin shake, small cracks break the walls surrounding them, the wind surrounding the boys shifted and stirred.
'Such intensity this should be very interesting' Hiruzen thought
The Kazekage was trembling slightly 'Exellent'
"One last thing before we begin...do not hold back Sasuke give me all you've got" Naruto said as he slid into his stance
Sasuke slid into his stance as well "Likewise Naruto...shall we begin?"
Both boys dashed towards each other fist cocked back and punched each other catching it in the others open hand. Sasuke taking advantage of the close range kicks Naruto in the gut intent on using him like a springboard. While in the air he felt something grab his foot. Naruto reached and caught his foot and began swinging him around before tossing his backward. Sasuke quickly rebounded and threw several shuriken. Naruto simply dodged them all. They soon met in close combat again dodging, parrying and countering each other until the punched each other in the face knocking each other back.
Guy, Asuma and Kurenai just turned and looked at Kakashi who simply shruged and pointed to the field. "I wouldnt take my eyes off them just yet the real fight starts now" he stated
Both boys get up wiping the blood from their lips. "I think thats enough of a warm up what do ya say Sasuke lets turn it up a notch" he smirked
Sasuke nodded and both genin closed their eyes.
"Huh what are they doing" Shikamaru asked
Takeru smiled "They're about to get serious". Hinata smiled at this.
Both boys open their eyes activating their respective dojutsu's.
"SHARINGAN"
"KITSUNEMENGAN"
Like a flash of lightning both boys drew their blades and clashed. The crowd was going wild at all the excitement and action. Naruto after a series of clashes and parries with Sasuke's Chakrua To split his Soaring Sword into and doubled his attack backing Sasuke up. Thanks to his Sharingan he was keeping up with ease but was impressed with Naruto's speed. Jumping back Naruto join his saber together again and sent a powerful Futon Jutsu at his rival.
Swinging his sword downward he yelled "FUTON:DAITOPPA" (Wind Release: Great Breakthrough)
'Damn it' This sent Sasuke flying backward, Naruto rasied the sword and with it the arc of the jutsu. Sasuke now in the air caught his baring and countered with a fire ball jutsu negating the wind jutsu. Charging extra chakra in his feet he jumped high in the air avoiding the fire ball. Sasuke landed and looked up just in time to see Naruto toss he sword at Sasuke.
'He knows that wont work...whats he planning' Sasuke thought as he moved to the side to dogde the saber which left a heavy impact.
'Gotcha' our blond hero thought as he made a...familar hand seal.
Sasuke landed from the dogde and notied the sun lit areas in the arena was almost covered up he looked up and went wide eye, just like most of the people in the stands. Practicly covering the sky a horde of about 1000 Naruto's began to rain down upon the Uchiha.
Competitors Area
"Takeru your brother is crazy" Shikamaru stated looking at the sky with a open jaw
Takeru nodded "Yes...yes he is, Hinata tell me again why you love him so much"
Hinata just giggled and blushed as she stared at the large army of her boyfriend.
Stands
Asuma, Kurenai, Guy and even Kakashi was speechless. The crowd was stunned, Hiruzen just chuckled at Naruto's playfulness.
"Oh no Sasuke-kun" Sakura stared on a the Naruto's drew closer
"Remind me to never fight Naruto" Ino stated wide eyed
"Looks like he's going to be crushed so much for the great Uchiha" Choji joked

"Ha im missing the chance to tell him it raining men" Kiba followed up as the two boys laughed

Now Kiba was sporting 2 lumps while Choji had one. As Sakura cracked her knuckles
Arena
As the Naruto Wave crashed down upon him Sasuke smirked and regained his composure taking a certain stance.
'Thats...' Gaara thought
"This is my taijutsu stance" Rock Lee stated
Bending his knees and jumping high towards the onslaught he disappared in a burst of speed.
"He is just as fast as my normal speed" Lee stated again gripping the crutch 'So this is the power of the Sharingan...Sasuke you are truly a genius'
"KONOHA SENPU" (Leaf Whirlwind) Suddenly the tip of the Naruto metor shower burst open and about 500 clones pop.
Finally hitting the ground Sasuke was surrounded by the final 500.
"Impressive Sasuke copied that from you ass whooping from Lee did you?" the chorus of Naruto's rang out
Sasuke smirked "Laugh it up dobes". The collective Naruto's attacked and stormed Sasuke using his high speed taijutsu he begins taking most of them out just fine. He grabs his Chakura To and goes through a couple hand seal.
"KATON:KAIBEN" he charged his chakra blade with chakra and turn it into a fire whip swinging it in a circlular arc he sent a massive wave of blazing fire engulfing the rest of the Naruto's sending clones popping everywhere
As the smoke clears Naruto is no where to found only his swords stood still in the ground. Murmurs in the crowd begin to stir.
Competitors Area
"Ok did I miss something where did Naruto go?" Shikamaru wondered
"You're guess is as good as mind Ive quit trying to figure my brother out when it comes to his battle stragety his way to unpredictable" Takeru replied
Hinata simply smiled as she deactivated her dojutsu.
Arena
Sasuke looked around,left right, up down and nothing. "Where the hell is the real Naruto I can see any genjutsu...not that he was good at it anyway...no his more of a brawler and there's no where else to hi..."
As the young Uchiha turned his head back a foot connected to his jaw knocking him backwards. 'Damn it I should have seen that coming' Sasuke thought as he hit the ground quickly rebounding rubbing his jaw.
Stands
"What just happened..." Choji asked
"When Sasuke wiped out the clones Naruto dropped and extra smokebomb and transformed himself into the sword" Kakashi answered
Kiba whistled "Damn when did Naruto get so clever"
'Kiba you have no idea' Kakashi chuckled with a thought
Arena
'Clever Naruto only you would come up with something like that...fine then here I come' using a burst of speed he took Naruto by surprise dropping kicking him back into the wall hard creating a cretor.
'Damn it ok that one hurt' Naruto thought
Sasuke kept the attack going making hand seals. "Katon:Hosenka no Jutsu" (Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu)
Naruto smiled 'Man this is fun hey Kurama sensei back me up with this one'
"VERY WELL KIT HERE IT COMES"
Naruto didnt move he instead puffed up his cheeks and blew out a steady stream of fire surprising everyone. The fire so hot negated the jutsu and melted the on coming shuriken, the fire continued heading for Sasuke.
"Damn it what else are you hiding" Sasuke cursed as he back flipped quickly avoiding the fire he kept flipping until he was high up on the wall using chakra on his feet. "Well here's a surprise from me" Sasuke begins forming hand seals for a final attack. He grasp his left arm with his right hand and begins gathering chakra.
Naruto pulls him self out of the wall and sees what Sasuke is doing. "That looks like trouble time to bust out that awesome jutsu Ero sennin taught me" The boy makes a shadow clone and it begins to swirl something in Naruto's right hand
Sasuke's hand begins glowing with electric chakra, meanwhile a swriling ball of chakra filled Naruto's hand.
"LETS FINISH THIS" both boys said as Sasuke ran down the wall. The clone Naruto made took him by his left arm and swung him fast twice before letting him go headed towards Sasuke who was now on the ground running at full force.
Stands
'Sasuke thats Kakashi's...and Naruto that's the...simply amazing these two boys have come so far' Sarutobi thought
Arena
The two genin drew closer and closer to each other arms stretched out with jutsu's in hand. The time had finally come for them to truly see who would come out on top.
"CHIDORI!" Sasuke yelled out
"RASENGAN!" Naruto yelled out as well
The jutsus clashed creating a large explosion and even larger dust cloud. All the spectators waited with baited breath for the smoke to clear.
